Absolutely loved this story! It was so heart-warming! I was cheering for the characters from start to finish, and that ending was fantastic! Highly recommend!

A heartwarming and uplifting romance that captures the journey of healing and second chances. The writing is tender, drawing the reader into the emotions of the characters, and the plot is engaging. I loved the themes of resilience and hope.

Finding You is a sweet romance between two people who have both had health issues in the past few years, and they're both keeping it a secret from each other. Not only that but Darcy lost her fiancé 18 months prior and is learning to live again. Carter is the perfect new man for her, but it'll take them some time to figure it out! I enjoyed watching their romance progress. If you are looking for a clean romance, choose a book by Amy Clipston!

I read/listened to the audio version and loved Melissa Moran as narrator.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Darcy and Carter. They meet in the a medical office parking lot. Darcy car will not start. Carter tries to jump it off but it doesn’t want to start. He gets her back to the office and works on her car at where he works. There is an attraction. They start dating. They are keeping secrets from each other. They have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

Darcy's Lexus breaks down in her doctor's parking lot, and Carter appears on the scene to jump-start her car and her heart. Despite their immediate connection, the two have perhaps too many obstacles to overcome. Carter wonders if getting involved with Darcy will be his next big mistake. The gift of Happily Ever After dangles in front of Darcy, but she wonders if she can ever move past her grief and guilt.

Amy Clipston's "Finding You" gives readers a glimpse into the lives of people who have been blessed by transplant donors. She knows whereof she speaks, as her husband received a kidney transplant, and she donated a kidney to be a "paired donor" much like the couple in the story. Only, both of them were recipients.

Darcy Larsen thought her life ended when her fiancé died. Yes, she got the kidney transplant she'd been waiting on, but she also got a load of guilt. On the way to pick up her medication at the pharmacy, he was broadsided by someone who ran a red light. He had already planned to be a paired donor for her, but she never thought she'd lose him. She hasn't looked at another man in 18 months, and isn't interested in dating at all, but when her Lexus dies in her doctor's parking lot, Carter Donovan steps up to help.

Carter has his own issues but he feels that God has gifted him with a new life. Saved by an emergency kidney transplant, he was also left swimming in debt. His friends tell him he's a catch, but he feels like he can't saddle a woman with the kind of debt he's carrying. Meeting Darcy and being able to help her, sparks his interest. Can a guy who lives with his sister's family find a second chance at love in, of all places, a parking lot?

I loved that Carter was able to see his newfound health as a gift, even though it left him with some pretty substantial debt. And I loved that his understanding of Darcy's feelings helped her to see HER health as precious. Their connection was so immediate, I wondered from the start of the story if maybe their kidney transplants were also connected.

If you've read a Clipston book before, this one is a great addition to her book list. I loved that her knowledge of kidney disease and kidney transplants leaked onto the page to make the interactions of the characters even more authentic. I listened to this one on the Libby app.

Darcy Larsen's life changed when her fiance' went to the pharmacy for her eighteen month ago to pick up her medications for anti rejection of the kidney transplant she'd received. A drunk driver hit and killed him. Darcy suffers such guilt for asking him to pick up her prescriptions for her rather than having done it herself. She, also worries about whether her kidney disease is something to could pass on to future children. Darcy was adopted, so she doesn't know her family health history and has begun to wonder if she should try to find her birth mother. She loves her parents who adopted and raised her and would never want to do anything to hurt them, or to make them feel like she was ungrateful for all they have done for her.
One day as she's leaving from a medical appointment, her Lexus won't start, and this nice looking man comes over to offer his assistance. He introduces himself as Carter. As luck, or fate, would have it, he works at an auto mechanic shop and offers to have her vehicle towed there.
Carter has his own problems. He, also had a kidney transplant and his girlfriend couldn't handle it and had broken up with him. Now, he has a pile of medical bills. He is living with his sister and her husband while trying to climb his way out of debt.
There is an instant connection between Darcy and Carter, but they both have big issues. Darcy feels unfaithful to her deceased fiance' for even contemplating another relationship. Then, she's not sure if she should have children. Carter, is almost thirty and living with family, which is embarrassing to him. Could he even tell another woman all his problems? Could another woman accept his transplant?
This could have been a sweet story, but...I really really don't like to write negative reviews. But, I have to be honest, and this one was difficult for me to read. Carter was just a big whiny baby. My granddaughter would say he was a 'pick me.' Just too much of a pity party, and not enough of a man. I just wanted to yell at him to put his big boy pants on and be a MAN! As for Darcy, she got on my nerves, as well. She did her own fair share of whining. It was just so much worse coming from a man. And, they got upset with each other for hiding their transplants, when both did this.
I, normally enjoy books by this author, but this one just wasn't for me.

I heard about this book at a book signing with Amy Clipston. I have followed her for years and heard of her husband's story with kidney disease. I was excited to read a book that explained the life and struggle of kidney disease and donating an organ along with romance, all while being a work of fiction to give story creativity.

This was such a heartfelt and wonderful story and I really enjoyed it. Having a cousin with kidney problems made me want to read this book. It does not disappoint.

Finding You by Amy Clipston is a contemporary Christian romance novel. The main characters, Darcy and Carter, each face multiple issues in their lives and have to figure out how to face them together. They are very well written characters and the growth that they go through is great. This is a quick read but a lovely story. You really feel for both of the characters and are rooting for their relationship and for them to overcome the problems that they face. I would recommend this book to people who love a clean and sweet read.

I absolutely love Amy Clipston! I went in with high expectations as always because I love her and her books. The book is an ode to everyone that is a kidney donor and all kidney survivors and I love that. I love how Amy tackled friendship ,adoption ,transplant ,parent-child relationships ,success and found love. Brilliantly written and swoonworthy and also teary its a perfect summer read.

Finding You by Amy Clipston is a lovely sweet romance. This book has everything that readers of this genre love- past hurts, people hesitant to fall in love. But the story is complicated because both the man and woman have kidney disease. The story takes twists and turns you might not expect, but they work perfectly in the story. This was a great book overall. I received a digital copy of this book from the publisher with no obligations. These opinions are entirely my own.

If only Darcy Larsen had remembered. Life would have looked so much different. The pieces are hard to pick up and move forward. Carter Donovan has a new lease on life or so he knows, but how do you move on when you just feel stuck. While he is thankful to the donor and their family, financial issues and broken lives make it hard to see a future. Will they find one another and start a second chance? Amy Clipston has created a wonderful and realistic story. She writes from the heart. I received a copy through Netgalley. A review was not required.

I enjoyed this book about Darcy and Carter. They have three big things in common in regards to health, relationships, and parents, which seemed a little too much parallelism for me. I liked how they met and got to know each other. There was a little too much angst over and over and over about secrets. It was just a little over the top for me in terms of that and the predictability.

I appreciated Darcy’s parents and friends who were great supports for her and wanted to see her happy. I laughed at some blind date attempts. It was a quick enjoyable relatively light read.

This didn't end up being my cup of tea. I'd read and enjoyed another of Clipston's books recently, and was eager to pick this one up--especially given the kidney-transplant element/storyline. My grandfather was on dialysis for decades, so the cause is near and dear to my heart!

Unfortunately, I found the writing style choppy and overwritten, and the characters underdeveloped. I think if repetitive details had been culled and more left to the reader's inference, some of that could have been resolved--which was doubly unfortunate given the author's own personal connection to kidney transplants. It's such a personal story for her, there was so much potential--it just fizzled for me, sadly.

Darcy has had a rough few years. First she was diagnosed with kidney disease and then received a kidney transplant and then her fiancé tragically died in a car accident. The last thing Darcy is looking for right now is a relationship, but after her car breaks down, she finds she can't stop thinking about (and running into) mechanic Carter. Will Darcy be able to open her heart up for love? I really enjoyed this story and the complexity of the characters. I also appreciated some of the nods to some of the other characters and settings from Amy Clipston's other contemporary romances. I recommend this book for lovers of contemporary romance.

This was such a great book. Love a book about second chance romance. The chemistry between the characters was on par. Set in a small town, I knew I was going to love it.

Reading Amy Clipston's new book Finding You is a delightful experience from start to finish. It's a sweet, wholesome story and the chemistry between Darcy and Carter is super swoon-worthy. Their blossoming relationship makes this novel so much fun to read!

What I really loved was how Clipston tackled some tough themes with such tenderness. She delves into finding love after loss, dealing with abandonment, and living with kidney disease and a transplant. It’s all handled so thoughtfully, adding depth to the story without taking away from its hopeful vibe.

Finding You is an enjoyable, heartwarming romance that Clipston’s fans will absolutely devour. If you're looking for a book that’s both touching and uplifting, this one’s a must-read!
