I love the books of VI Keeland. I have read so many wonderful romances from her hand, but ‘The Unraveling’ was a wonderful way to discover what else she can write.

This one was so thrilling, so addicting, couldn’t put it down. With a lot of thrillers you can kind of predict the ending? But I didn’t see this coming! The end was so good! This one was a wonderful thriller debut, and I cannot wait to see what Keeland will do next in this genre! I absolute want more from her!

After experiencing a terrible loss, New York City psychiatrist Meredith McCall feels painfully adrift. When she crosses paths with a man with whom she has a tragic connection, she follows him, sparking an unhealthy obsession with Gabriel Wright. How is he doing so well while her life is in shambles?
But when Gabriel walks into her office as a patient, seemingly unaware of who she is, she knows it crosses all ethical and moral bounds to treat him. Yet, Meredith can't bring herself to turn him away and becomes further entangled. With her life and career continuing to unravel, it appears that things could not get any worse...until they do.

I originally heard about this book from a few friends so I was very intrigued based on their reviews! I vaguely read the synopsis and was excited to read a psychological thriller. This was that but also not. This was more of a psychological stalker romance?? Not my cup of tea. I figured out majority of the twists early on and the rest just kind of fell flat for me. I would’ve loved to see more POV from Gabriel and more from the past.

If you want to read a psychological thriller with stalker romance aspects, dual timelines, and a few predictable twists, this one is for you! It was a quick read but a little slow to get going.

Thank you Net Galley and Atria books for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a fun, addictive read that I couldn’t put down. There were so many ways this story could have gone and I was always left second guessing my theories at every turn. I’ve always enjoyed Vi Keeland as a romance author and there are definitely some sexy scenes in here, but she’s as great of a thriller writer as she is romance. I can only hope she does more in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for providing me with this sexy thriller in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for the eARC.

5 Stars.

This was just plain old fun. It's twisty, but in a unique way because it's not about who the villain is so much as how. There's such a small cast of characters it's fairly easy to figure out who the baddie is but I did not expect the how or the why at the end. I read it in 3 sittings and thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Also she is a terrible doctor. 0 stars for her on doctor yelp.

This was a relatively quick read but I wasn’t a fan of the explicit sex scenes or the stupidity of the main character.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

A good plot premise and fast-paced for the most part but the psychiatrist wasn’t a plausible character. I’m not a fan of “spicy” thrillers and the sex scenes caused me to lose interest in midway through the book. It lacked the feel of a true thriller for me with the “twists” being somewhat predictable.

I loved this book! That should actually be my review. I loved this book and I don’t want to tell you anything about it, because you need to go blind into it and be blown away. 😊 But then again, that wouldn’t be much of a review would it.
Lets just say if you loved Verity by Colleen Hoover you are going to be loving this one! This psychological thriller blows Verity far out of the water. It is filled with twists and turns and it will leave your mouth hanging open by the end of. That last chapter is just mind blowingly good and so unexpected.

Meredith is our MC, who has lost everything do to a mistake her husband made. He paid with his life, but Meredith is still paying the price of his actions today. As a reader you see her slowly unraveling. She makes mistakes and very shady decisions, but you also see the grief and the guilt. That makes you want to yell at her but also at the same time feel weirdly sympathetic over the very stupid life choices she is making.
This book is full of stalking, obsession, grief, sex, guilt,… you name it! Its such a good book and that is really all I am going to say about it. You shouldn’t be reading my review anyway, you should be reading this book!

I love love psychological thrillers so imagine my surprise to see one from miss Vi Keeland herself!! I have read almost all her books so I knew that I had to read this one as well. I loved it, I read this finished in one sitting. It really had my heart racing cause I must admit I wasn't expecting some plot twists but hey I knew something was off about Mr Gabriel there. Also, I couldn't help reading some of the parts in Joe Goldberg's voice lol esp when they kept mentioning *you*. So Joe Goldberg coded...
The way I gasped when some things went down and that ending like ?!? Had me shook. Well, everyone go read it when it comes out, you won't regret it!

First I would like to thank Netgalley and Atria books for the ARC.

WOW! What a thriller. I haven’t read any of Vi Keeland’s romance books before but if this is her first time writing a thriller then I will have to go and pick some up.

This is a psychological thriller that I just couldn’t put down. I started it late last night and finish it in less then 24 hours. It’s mind bending and the twists are fantastic. At first you can’t believe all the poor decisions Meredith is making but as the story goes on it just gets stranger and stranger. And that last chapter…fantastic!

4.5/5 stars rounded up to 5.

I really enjoyed reading The Unraveling by Vi Keeland. I’ll call it
a well-written thriller. Shrewdly woven, the world build, the vividly portrayed characters and the storyline full of twists and turns leading to a most unexpected plot and ending gives you so much more. It will pull on your heartstrings and grab you from beginning to end! I couldn't put it down! I don't do spoilers because it takes away from the story, but the blurb gives you an idea of what to expect. There is drama, action, and suspense. The ending really caught me off guard. I highly recommend this book. It’s an amazing, fast-paced story, and you won’t be disappointed. This is my first time reading this author and can’t wait for the next book!!

I have mixed feelings about this book. This is a very bingeable read and perfect for those who are new to the thriller genre. Be warned that none of the characters are likeable and the main character is particularly frustrating. What I felt was an obvious plot for most of the book, the final twist at the end really left me shocked.

Dr. Meredith McCall, is a psychiatrist and married to Connor Fitzgerald, a star on New York Steel's professional hockey team. Life is going perfect until Connor gets hurt badly in a game and then their perfect life starts to unwind quickly. When a horrific tragedy strikes, Meredith finds herself on the verge of nervous breakdown. Fast forward seven months and Meredith just happens to see Gabriel Wright, an English professor at Columbia with whom she shares the horrific tragedy with. He appears happy and can't understand how he can be so happy when she is not. Gabriel suddenly becomes an obsession that she cannot shake and soon she is secretly following him around. One day he shows up at her practice as a new patient. Knowing it is wrong, Meredith continues to see him. As the days goes by, life starts to get even more unraveled until all hell breaks loose and the unraveling is complete and lives can get back to normal....or at least as normal as can be.

This psychological thriller is mind blowing! The twists and turns the author takes you on is crazy. You think you know where the story is headed, and BOOM it takes a hard left! I could not put the book down and read it in two sittings! It's a different type of book than the author usually writes, but it is well worth your time to read.

Meredith, psychiatrist, has just suffered a painful loss. She is struggling to cope, until she crosses paths with Gabriel Wright. Gabriel is also suffered a terrible loss, but seems to be thriving. Meredith becomes consumed with finding out how Gabriel can be functioning so well. One day, Gabriel shows up at Meredith's office, as a patient. Gabriel seemingly has no idea who Meredith is, whereas Meredith is struggling to keep her obsession at bay. Meredith crosses all sorts of ethical lines for Gabriel. She knows it is wrong, but she just cannot stay away....

Wow, what a twisty, engaging, and seductive thriller! Definitely a page turner. I really enjoyed the final twist at the very end of the book. - I will be thinking about it for a longgggg time! Keeland does an excellent job with character development. I also really enjoyed the writing style. The quick chapters made for a fast-paced read. Keeland's writing is sharp and concise, allowing for the story to flow and the reader to follow along easily.

If you enjoy the book/TV series "You", then you will for sure love this book. Obsessive stalkers galore! All the Joe Goldberg vibes!

This was a great first thriller from Vi Keeland. I hope she writes more!

Wow! What the crap? Wow!

I have loved everything that Vi writes so of course I had to read this. I admit I’m more of a romance, romance suspense person over thrillers but this was amazing. I’m just glad that it wasn’t too long as my heart and mind couldn’t take it. I don’t even know how to go about explaining what I read without spoilers.

So Meredith, a Psychiatrist is having the worse time ever. She suffers a terrible loss and she is spiraling. She can barely leave her house, even months later. Until one day she finally ventures out and just walks and walks until she sees a familiar face. Someone tied to her loss. But he suffered a loss as well so why is he ok…smiling even. How can he ok? So she starts to follow him to see if what he portrays on the outside is a facade. Then she sees his name on her schedule. This can’t be a coincidence that he picked her to come to. Everything gets tangled and what a web she weaves. But that is only the beginning. Nothing is as it seems.

I thought this was a great read. I couldn’t put it down so had to keep reading until 1am to finish. I so wanted there to be more although not knowing how much more I could handle. You need to read this!

Vi Keeland is now an auto buy author for me! I loved this book so much and i think that the psychological elements were done really well! I am a sucker for a thriller regarding psychiatrists and patients. I highly recommend!!

Vi Keeland usually writes steamy Romance Novels. This is her first Thriller and what a great effort! I was engaged all throughout the story!

Meredith is dealing with a horrific situation. She's a psychiatrist who begins to obsess over a man. One day that same man walks into her office and declares he's her new patient. I don't want to give too much away. This one is very twisty, twisted and crazy!

A fast-paced thriller that will keep you reading to find out what happens next. Great writing!

I had some doubts for the first half of this book but boy did that change once I got half way through. The reason I say that is due to me feeling the first part of the book was a bit slow and dragged in some areas but after reading everything I can see now why it was told this way. This is not one you can DNF trust me! You'll want to finish it and once you do your jaw will be on the floor after reading that last page. I had seen a couple of people recommend this book and I can see why. I will definitely be recommending this one to my friends, family, and anyone else who asks for a book recommendation. The characters were interesting and the twists are well done. Loved the way the author chose to end this book. If you have any doubts I hope this review helps convince you to give it a try and make sure you read it all the way through otherwise you'll miss out on why this is one that everyone is going to be talking about.
