Disproven: My Unbiased Search for Voter Fraud for the Trump Campaign, the Data that Shows Why He Lost, and How We Can Improve Our Elections by Ken Block is a meticulously researched and candid exploration of the claims surrounding voter fraud in the 2020 U.S. presidential election. Block, who was initially tasked with investigating allegations of voter fraud on behalf of the Trump campaign, presents a data-driven analysis of the election, ultimately debunking the widespread myths and conspiracies that surrounded the election’s integrity.
What makes Disproven stand out is Block’s commitment to objectivity. As someone initially sympathetic to the idea of widespread voter fraud, Block brings a unique perspective to the discussion. His journey through data collection, analysis, and investigation reveals a reality far removed from the sensational claims promoted by certain political figures. Block’s honest recounting of how his investigation ultimately disproved these claims provides readers with a grounded understanding of the actual outcomes of the election and the true state of American democracy.
Beyond debunking conspiracy theories, the book also offers practical suggestions for improving the integrity of U.S. elections, including reforms in voting procedures, transparency, and the role of technology in the election process. Block’s findings emphasize the importance of protecting the democratic process from misinformation while fostering greater public trust in future elections.
Disproven is a timely and valuable contribution to the ongoing conversation about election integrity. Its commitment to facts and data makes it an essential read for those looking to understand the true state of voter fraud claims and how we can strengthen the systems that underpin American democracy. Block’s work serves as a call for more transparent, data-driven discourse on elections, free from the distortion of unfounded allegations.
I am surprised that this book is not getting more traction. Ken Block was hired by the Trump Administration to prove voter fraud in 6 states. He did not find any proof of that. However, what he did find proof of was that Trump is actually losing support of many Republicans and the amount of misinformation that is being spread to polarize our elections, harming minorities and truly, all Americans alike. Thank you to Ken Block, Forefront Books, and NetGalley for this ARC.
Ken Block's Disproven is a salient investigation into how myths are perpetuated and public perception is blinded by this misinformation often to perilous ends. Ranging from a variety of scientific myths and conspiracy theories, Block explains why people believe false information and how such sets of beliefs linger on despite clear evidence to the contrary.
This book is relevant in regards to todays issues where misinformation is spread rampantly everyday.
Ken Block, the author of "Disproven," was hired by the Trump Campaign to investigate the 2020 election results to uncover evidence of significant voter fraud. He found none, but he failed to discuss the after-action investigations that were done by a former Supreme Court justice in Wisconsin, the research that was conducted in Pennsylvania in connection with the documentary film "2000 Mules, ' or the scholarly investigation done by John Lott, also done in the Keystone state or the scientific work that has been done by Robert Kaplan regarding the negative impact that Google has on fair election results, etc. In short, Mr. Block looked looked at only some of the evidence.
