Cash is back in town as the town veterinarian and he's best friends with the single mother Becca. Both are keeping secrets which could possibly make or break things with family ties and with friendship but at the end of it all can they really open up to one another and those around them to really fix things?
This was a pretty heartwarming story. When it comes to Cash's side of the story he's dealing with finding out that his parents were keeping a big secret that truly broke his trust and had him wanting to jet. The family since secrets and lies are a really big issue for him. Meanwhile Becca on the other hand is holding a big secret herself not only does she like her best friend but she's also hiding the truth from her family and friend about her daughters father. When you read the book and get to know the characters you can kind of understand why Becca was keeping her secrets and I was curious on when and what what happened when she does eventually reveal it. Then there was a whole crisis that Cash was dealing with when it came to his family and it was interesting seeing how that was revealed and how it would impact the family the way it did and wondering why it was kept this even in the first place. I also enjoyed seeing the friendship between Cash and Becca and couldn't wait to see them find their happily ever after. Overall really good book I really enjoyed it.
The Rancher's Reunion by Lisa Childs, the seventh book on the Bachelor Cowboy Series, has Grandma Sadie and Lem finally tie the knot. Sadie March Haven Lemmon's matchmaking continues and she has her sights on Cash and Becca who are just friends, best friends. After learning that everything he thought he knew about his father was lies, Cash Cassidy runs away from home, believing there were too many secrets. Now a local veterinarian, he has returned, realizing he was wrong to run away from his dad and brothers, hoping they can find it in their hearts to forgive him. Cash is determined that there will be no more lies or secrets in his life. When he comes home to Willow Creek there’s his best friend, single mom, Becca Calder and her daughter Hope, who hold his heart. Becca has a secret and is afraid Cash will never trust her again when discovers it. Becca and Cash actually have feelings for each other, but believe it is one-sided, and fear of rejection keeps each from sharing. A sweet story that is heartwarming, yet heartbreaking and filled with lots of secrets and suspense, it takes a leap of faith to find love, and so much more.
Although I enjoyed the story, I struggled with Becca’s secret. In this day and age, it was not as devastating as she made it out to believe. In fact, no one held it against her once it came out. It also would have helped to have a family tree, so new readers could follow who belonged to which family and how they were related.

Cash, a veterinarian, struggles with relationships and has a deep aversion to secrets. His childhood friend Becca harbors a secret she feels increasingly compelled to reveal. Cash’s mistrust stems from his strained relationship with his father, JJ, who concealed their true relationship until Cash confronted him and then left town. Upon returning, Cash aims to reconcile with his family and hopes to transition his friendship with Becca into a romantic relationship. The story is realistic and engaging, featuring vulnerable characters navigating past mistakes. The moderate pacing suits the family's journey through obstacles toward a fresh start. The humor and wisdom of Sadie, the matchmaking grandmother, add charm. Cash stands out for his eagerness to make amends and seek forgiveness. This heartwarming tale of friendship evolving into romance includes some intriguing twists and a touch of mystery.

Or run for good?
Veterinarian Cash Cassidy and single mom Becca Calder have been each other’s best friend through everything, including raising her young daughter, Hope. But Becca has been keeping a secret from Cash. Now he’s insisting on truth from everyone in his life, and Becca knows she'll have to confess. Can Cash move past his old wounds and see that the loving family he desires has been there all along?
This is Becca Calder, daughter Hope and Cash Cassidy's story.
BECCA SCRAPED THE shovel across the floor of the stall, scooping out the last bit of soiled wood chips. She turned to drop them into the wheelbarrow outside the stall, but her hair had fallen into her eyes. She exhaled a big breath to blow the black strands out of her field of vision.
Between the nickname and how much he’d changed, nobody had recognized him as a Cassidy from the Cassidy Ranch in Moss Valley, an hour’s drive from Willow Creek. “Yes, you called me about a mare,” he said.
“Thanks for coming out on such short notice,” she said as she walked up and extended her hand toward him.
I recommend this book.

A sweet cowboy romance. Many heartwarming moments. I probably would have enjoyed the story more had I read a few of the previous ones. Lots of family issues that had me sort of confused, especially when they were known by more than one name. It was still an enjoyable story and I look forward to reading the next one. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
