The Mirror is the second book in The Lost Bride Trilogy. We pick up where the last book left off on a cliffhanger. Sonya is working to live her life and create a successfully one woman graphic design firm while also uncovering the stories of the seven Poole brides who have died over the centuries. There is a curse that must be broken and Sonya is hopefully going to be the one to do it. As she uncovers the truths behind each death she starts piecing together the puzzle, but will she be able to figure out how to break the curse before it’s too late?
I have been waiting all year for this second book in this trilogy. After the cliffhanger that the first book left us on I couldn’t wait to read this one and see how things played out. So many things were answered in this book, but there are even more questions to still be resolved. I really enjoy the case of characters in this book and love following along with them as this trilogy unfolds. I love the ghost aspect of this book and how everything ties back to the curse. I can’t wait to see how the finale plays out and will be impatiently waiting for it to come out. If you are looking for an intriguing and captivating series about a haunted house and the curse that needs to be broken look no farther! This series needs to be read in order to make sense of it, so start with the first book!

The Mirror is a testament to Nora Roberts’ skill as a storyteller. The novel’s blend of romance, mystery, and supernatural elements creates a unique and memorable reading experience. The themes of love and redemption resonate deeply, leaving a lasting impression on readers.
I would highly recommend The Mirror to fans of romance and mystery genres. Nora Roberts’ masterful storytelling and well-developed characters make this book a must-read. Whether you’re a long-time fan of Roberts or new to her work, The Mirror is sure to captivate and entertain.

THE MIRROR, second in the LOST BRIDE trilogy, is wonderful! I got caught up with the characters I met in INHERITANCE, and was pleased that the story line picked up where it left off. I love the quirky spirits that live in Sonya's house and their interaction with the living. I don't want to give anything away, because this story is so good, you deserve to read all the details yourself. My only complaint about this book, is that it is another year before we get the conclusion. I can't wait to see how Nora weaves the remainder of the story line.

I love Nora Roberts books but this one was just ok for me. The Inheritance was so good so maybe it was just hard to enjoy this one as mooch. Thank you for the opportunity to read this arc.

I really enjoyed getting caught up with Sonya, Cleo, Owen and Trey. The continuation of the story from The Inheritance kept me engaged, Hester Dobbs is trying to win the manor but Sonya is determined to get rid of her so she can enjoy her house, I loved when Sonya inadvertently brings down jerky Brandon all while winning a big job. The other ghosts are also very enjoyable: Jack, Clover, and Molly add so much to the story. Clover’s playlist is amazing. I especially liked the scene where Cleo & Sonya are working on the mural for Anna & Seth’s nursery and the inaugural voyage of Cleo’s boat. The story was great and I’m so looking forward to the final book in the trilogy.
Thanks to NetGalley & St. Martin’s Press for a copy of this book..

After reading the first installment of the Lost Bride series, "Inheritance," I was eager to follow Sonya and Trey's narrative. Unexpectedly, my interest waned repeatedly as I progressed through the book. It took an embarrassing amount of time to finish; each night, I managed only a few minutes of reading before sleep became the preferable option.
I'm reluctant to disclose the actual duration it took to complete the book, but let's just say it was lengthy. It might have been influenced by the high I experienced from reading Roberts' "Mind Games," which was a solid five-star experience for me.
I extend my gratitude to St. Martin's Press and NetGalley for the electronic advance review copy. The opinions expressed herein are genuinely my own.

Sonya MacTavish is going on with life trying to figure out a way remove the dark spirit Hester Dobbs from her house as well as accepting the nice spirits in her house. Her visual arts business is flourishing....she even won an account over her ex! Sonya and her roommate Cleo Fabares are even planning a huge open house party and plan to invite all their family, friends and local townspeople.
At the end of the last book, Sonya and her cousin Owen Poole learned some new information that may help them with Hester Dobbs. Sonya's boyfriend, Oliver Doyle III a.k.a. Trey feels nervous with her and Cleo living alone in the house especially during the night when strange things keep happening so he ends up sleeping over most nights along with Owen.
As days go by Sonya, Trey, Cleo and Owen keep finding out new information. New portraits of the dead Poole brides keep popping up as well as a mirror. Whenever the mirror appears Sonya is drawn to go through the glass. Each time Sonya goes through she learns something new about one of the seven brides. But one thing that is constant every time is that Hester Dobbs takes the bride's wedding ring. Now Sonya realizes that in order to break the Poole bride curse, she must find all seven rings of the dead Poole brides.
This story was an enjoyable continuation of the first book. You do need to read book one first. It was interesting learning about each of the brides, while at the same time everyday life was happening. I cannot wait to see how the fearless foursome are going to take down Hester Dobbs. It's going to be crazy!

The Mirror is book two in The Lost Bride trilogy. In book one, Inheritance, we meet Sonya MacTavish in Poole's Bay, Maine after she's found out she's inherited a mansion on the ocean. By the end of the first book, we are really getting into the meat of the story. And, much like book 1, I read book 2 in two days - soooo captivating!
In The Mirror, we are still following the same main characters from book 1, but are traveling deeper into the story and going down the proverbial rabbit hole. As the title references, the elaborate mirror is the prominent feature in this book.
I find the characters, both living and unalive, extremely likeable in this story line and I was happy to see the original unalive characters making reappearances and showing their personalities. While this story in a bit predictable in relation to the living characters, that doesn't detract from the story. I reality, I was rooting for the hook-ups that happened. I really can't wait to get the final book in the series to see how things turn out for Sonya and her friends as well as the ghosts, who have been waiting for all of the wrongs to be righted.
The Mirror, book #2 of The Lost Bride Trilogy, is a paranormal, fantasy, romance. It definitely doesn't stand alone and readers will have to read all three books to get to the resolution.
I received this book from St. Martin's Press for free in exchange for an honest review.

Book 2 of the Lost Bride Trilogy does not disappoint. As Sonya and Cleo settle into the manor, Hester Dobbs becomes increasingly agitated. Finding out the key to the curse is helped by the visions presented through the mirror. While gathering the information and forming a connection with her family and community, Sonya also enjoys her new relationship and her work. Sonya is destined to break the curse and just may succeed with the loving support of Trey, her favorite cousin Owen, and Cleo.

You can never go wrong with a Nora Roberts book. Despite the numerous titles she's written her stories continue to be fresh and engaging sweeping her readers into her fantasy world.
This is the middle book in the trilogy so sadly it does end in a cliffhanger. However, given that it is the second book we get to know the characters both main and supporting better. The relationships deepen and a lot of the history of the brides starts to come to life. The house comes to life with love and laughter much to the chagrin of the evil ghost.
Sonya and her friend Cleo continue to live their best life, forging deeper ties with the community and with each other and with Trey's family and is there a romance budding between Cleo and Owen? This is a time for living, and for loving and continuing to find a way to collect all the wedding rings and defeat the evil that has flourished unchecked for so long.
I hate waiting another year to see how it all comes together and how the foursome will be victorious.

After reading The Inheritance, the first book in the trilogy, I was super excited to read The Mirror. I couldn't wait to continue the story of the brides and the charming cast of characters.
However, while we were treated to more information about some of the brides, especially Clover, and we were introduced to a new furry family member, the story dragged. Don't get me wrong, the story progressed, but I think there was a little too much emphasis on their (Sonya and Cleo's) day to day life.
I will definitely read the third book, as Ms. Roberts' books tend to pick up near the end. I'm curious to find out how they break the curse!
Thank you to William Morrow and Harper Collins for sending me the second installment as an ARC!

I can’t not wait for the third book in this series. This has been one of the best fiction books I’ve read.

Once again Nora Roberts has written a magically delicious suspenseful romance that kept me up all night reading it because I just had to know what happened next with the best side character aka haunted house ever. I love that we get to see more of the brides’s stories and heartbroken that all those lives were ruined. The Owen/Cleo side story was so sweet and I can’t wait to see more of them all in the next book.

This series is so atmospheric - perfect for the Fall months! While I felt the plot was a bit slower than book 1 (I kept hoping for a little bit more!), the relationships is what really carries this series for me! I love the found family and friendships, the haunted house on the ocean, the New England setting, the ghosts and spooky underlying mystery... Nora never fails to drag me in with her storytelling!

I’m sad to say I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first. I loved the first and found this one to be too slow. I will still read the next. But this one didn’t live up to the first :(

The Mirror
The Lost Bride Trilogy, Book 2
by Nora Roberts
The Mirror, the second book in Nora Roberts’ Lost Bride Trilogy, is a spellbinding blend of mystery, romance, and the supernatural. Sonya MacTavish inherits a Victorian mansion in Maine only to discover it’s haunted by a dark family curse. With ghostly footsteps, mysterious music, and an enchanted mirror that pulls her into the past, Sonya is drawn into uncovering the secrets of Poole Manor.
Roberts masterfully creates an atmospheric, suspense-filled story that kept me turning pages. The mix of family mystery, eerie history, and Sonya’s determination to break the bride’s curse makes this book impossible to put down. The supporting characters add warmth and humor, especially Sonya’s friends, who bring a sense of camaraderie to the chilling scenes. The Mirror is a perfect balance of romance, supernatural thrills, and intrigue, and I’m eagerly awaiting the conclusion to this haunting trilogy!

That this book and series would be good was almost guaranteed. Nora Roberts didn't get where she is by writing uninteresting books. I love that she can write all different genres and do it so well. I really like the paranormal aspect of the book and the way it's just a fact of life to so many that this house is haunted. They don't like it but that don't question whether a ghost is tormenting them. The stoic way Sonya and those around her approach the spirits is intriguing. She loves the kind ghosts who do nice things for her,; pick her clothes, play appropriate songs, clean the kitchen, play with the dogs. She stand up to the one who is evil and angry and trying to make her leave even when it's terrifying.. She walks through the mirror even though she'd rather do almost anything but..
Every day Sonya finds out more about the spirit so determined to drive her out. She learns about each bride and their deaths. Knowledge is power and Sonya is moving ever closer to the answers she needs to give her the ultimate power. It's intense reading about the things she must deal with, her exploration of the house and it's so many rooms, the management of a fortune and the estate, all while trying to start a new business and a new relationship. She is surrounded by so many great people who she can lean on when life gets tough. Her roommate, boyfriend, mom, the townspeople, her newly found cousins, everyone is so likable, supportive and caring. She even takes the time and makes the effort to help locals in need.
The book is a page-turner. There's so much action, so many touching relationships and so many great people. I recommend this book and cannot wait for the next one.
Thanks to the author, St. Martins Press and NetGalley for the ARC.

After Sonya McTavish inherits a house from the uncle she never knew and learns of the with, Dobbs, who lives there, she has made every effort to make the manner her home and find a way tp get rid of the witch for good. Being pulled into the mirrorto learn the stories of the manors seven dead brides is key to uncovering the way to remove the curse Dobbs left behind.
I have actively awaiting the chance to read the next book in The Lost Brides Trilogy. Nor Roberts writing seamlessly picks up from the end of book one easily so it feels like a true continuation. The story is reaching its apex and working towards the showdown between Sonya and Dobbs and will be quite the scene I am sure. Roberts writes amazing novels with just the right amount of closed door romance. I can't wait to read the final book in the trilogy.

I couldn’t wait even one more minute to read this second book in The Lost Bride Trilogy and I am so glad I got the opportunity to continue on this journey with Sonya! There is a reason that Nora Roberts is one of the best authors out there and she perfectly shows that in this book. I was pulled back in immediately and felt like I was on the roller coaster with Sonya, Trey, Cleo and Owen. Cleo is probably my favorite character, so I was really excited to get more with her and see her character develop. I’m not sure how I’m going to be able to wait for book three!!! The ending had me absolutely stuck in SHOCK and I don’t know what will happen next! I cannot WAIT!

No one does a suspenseful, atmospheric haunting like Nora Roberts can! While her In The Garden trilogy is a long time favorite, and this new trilogy may end up there right next to it! Nora will sweep you away with her characters and settings for
page one.
