Like Book 1 in the Lost Bride Manor Trilogy, Book 2, The Mirror, will suck you in and leave you wanting more. Nora Roberts is a master of spinning an interconnected story. This one will be un you through your emotions for sure. But you'll keep coming back because like Sonya, you have to know, you have to see. My favorite part of The Mirror is watching the four deepen their bonds, from Sonya to Trey and Cleo to Owen. But my favorite is really watching Owen break out of his shell a little. I loved seeing him open to letting Sonya in and how reluctant he was that he has found his one in Cleo. The conversation between him and Trey, first on the shore and then in his workshop made me laugh at his reluctance and respect that he knows himself that well. I never wanted to put it down and I hate to have to wait for Book 3, even though I know it will be worth it! Well done! This is one of my favorite reads of the year to date!

Can I say just how much I just love Nora's trilogies? After Inheritance ended on a cliffhanger, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book and it didn't disapppoint. With just the right amount of spookyness, romance, and heart, this is a perfect follow-up to the first novel. We get to learn more about the lost brides and Dobbs and also spend more time with Sonya, Cleo, and Trey's families. I can't wait for the third book to come out!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc.

Nora Roberts' talent at capturing the mystery and paranormal never seem to fade, book 2 holding me in as firm a grip as the first. Ending on a chiffhanger, I'm a little sad but looking forward to reading book 3 the minute it's released. There's a reason I 1-click on every story with her name on it. This is a book for lovers of paranormal, mystery, and suspenseful romance. The cast of characters feel both freah and familiar. I can't wait to finish this series.

I was excited to receive a complimentary copy of The Mirror by Nora Roberts from NetGalley. Opinions in this review are completely my own.

Nora Roberts is one of my favourite authors and every time she comes out with a new book, I immediately want to read it. Her trilogies are my favourite. The only issue I see with reading an ARC for this book is that I will now have to wait even longer for the third book in this series.

I absolutely loved this book! The friendships between Sonya and Cleo and Owen and Trey make me yearn for this type of friendship where it feels like family. I love how they all hang out with each other and have dinner together and enjoy each other's company. All of the characters are so real and I want them to be my friends. I enjoyed seeing a little more of their families in this novel. As well, I love how they interact with the ghosts through music with Clover, things coming up from storage in the dumbwaiter from Molly, etc.

I cannot wait to see how they banish Dobbs from the Manor and how they get the rings back and what happens to the ghosts once the witch is gone. I am a bit concerned as her powers seem pretty strong with how she was able to get rid of some of the Poole brides. I'm curious why she wants to be the Lady of the Manor so badly...

That said, I keep thinking I need to draw out a family tree for the Pooles because I keep getting confused of which bride belongs with which groom and when they were alive. I can see myself flipping back and forth to this anytime they go through the Mirror.

Welcome back to Lost Bride Manor. The Mirror starts where Inheritance ended, so be sure to start there. Nora Roberts does an excellent job of winding the paranormal with everyday occurrences of living in the Manor, so if you don't believe in it, it makes you wonder why. I especially love the music provided by Clover. I'm eagerly awaiting the conclusion of the trilogy, where everyone, human and ghost alike, will hopefully receive their HEAs.

This is the second book in the #LostBride Trilogy by @norarobertsauthor I was fortunate to have received an #arc from @netgalley While I'm not what my friends would consider to be a paranormal reader I love stories that have hints of ghosts, and other supernatural aspects. That being said, #thelostbridetrilogy fits my reading tastes 100% Sonya is continuing to make the manor hers, but to the dismay of the ghost who has put a curse on the manor. The other spirits who inhabit the home are on Sonya's side and do what they can to assist her. I typically find the second book in a trilogy to be what I consider a bridge book...something to get me from the introduction of book one to the conclusion of book three, but The Mirror is most definitely not a bridge book. It's full of action, intrigue, humor, and romance. As Sonya, Cleo, Trey and Owen start bonding, and working together more and more they're getting closer to finding ways to break the curse. The masterful Roberts gives you just enough hints about those ways to make you satisfied, but also angry at how long you as a reader needs to wait for the final installment. Since both Inheritance and The Mirror are clear the schedule reads, I can only anticipate that the third will be as well. #trilogy #paranormalromance #suspense #nobookmarkneeded

This is the second book in the Lost Brides trilogy and it didn’t disappoint. More family stories and more Ghosts. Who wouldn’t love a ghost that cleans your house and does your dishes. I especially loved Clover and her musical selections. I can’t wait for the last book to see how Sonya finds the rings.

The second book in this new series builds on the first. It is lively, romantic,
complex and endlessly entertaining with an ending that makes me want to wish away a year of my life!
Nora Roberts does not disappoint.
I know there are clues here but I don't know what they are. I love this town and the characters.

I was happy to be able to read the second installment in this series. I felt it was a lot of recitation of what happened in the first book, so by that accord, someone who had not read the first book could easily start here and have a solid understanding of what was going on within the story. So I, personally, would have preferred more newer content, but I still enjoyed this book nonetheless. This was a lot of fun as it had a great mix of the ghostly brides and everyday life, romance and friendship. This book also did a great job of building anticipation for the third installment.

The Mirror is the second installment in the Lost Brides trilogy. I couldn’t wait to read this book and now I’m sorry I did because I’m gonna have to wait longer to read the final portion of this trilogy.

Nora Roberts The Mirror picks up where the Inheritance ended - Sonya and Owen stepping into the elusive mirror portal to the past. They enter as present day ghosts and relive the horrific history of.Lost Bride Manor.

Sonya and Trey step up their relationship. Cleo moves into the manor and evil Dobbs isn’t having it.

No, this doesn’t fall into the second bookitis category. We learn a lot more about relationships, old and new and how those relationships color, the life of the manor.

I enjoyed this book and look forward to the final installment of this trilogy. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this advance copy.

This book title is perfect for this read. We are back on our journey to see. What all is revealed in this part of the story.

Nobody can write characters and situations as well as Ms Roberts. The way she connects the characters and the back stories is riveting. I like that Sonya and Trey’s relationship keeps growing with respect of each other and how they handle the ups and downs of living in an unusual manor. The relationship between Cleo and Owen is happening organically, beginning with friendship and respect. I love the interactions with some of the ghosts. Except, of course, Hester Dobbs. It’s going to be hard to wait on the next book to see how Sonya resolves retrieving the seven rings. My only advice is to try to read each book, one right after the other, to get a better and more fulfilling experience.

Nora Roberts is back again with book 2 of the Lost Bride Series and this second book does not disappoint. If you haven’t read the first book, I highly encourage you to read the first book to get a better sense of the story and characters. However, even without reading the first book, the continued story is done well and you can easily pick up the story.

Sonya MacTavish has learned a lot about the Poole side of the family since inheriting the Poole Manor. Along the way, she has found her strength, her determination, drive and her heart has found love. With the help of her best friend, Cleo, her newly-found cousin, Owen and the man she loves, Trey, together as a team, they are working to break the curse of the murdered brides. Well written, the characters and settings are people and places you’d want to meet. The Poole manor is a character in itself, the spookiness and antics of the ghosts are all part of the story. But this isn’t a ghost story for the campfire, this is a story of love and loss, of finding true bliss only to have it ripped away from you. It is ultimately a story about love and how it will prevail. Get comfy and enjoy this read.

I received a free e-arc of this book through Netgalley. I just read[book:Inheritance|65213377] which is the first book in this trilogy and I must recommend that you start with The Inheritance before you read The Mirror which is Book 2 in The Lost Bride Trilogy. It just makes so much more sense to read them in order. I really enjoyed Book 1. I felt there were some good plot points in Book 2 to move the series along, but it also felt a bit stretched out so while I look forward to Book 3 in this trilogy, I think it might've had better timing as a 2-book series. There are good ghosts and a jealous mean ghost to make life more exciting. It made me think about the pros/cons of living in a mansion full of ghosts. Thankfully some of them like to do dishes and pick out your clothes so that helps with the workload. A good read, but I really want to get to the conclusion to see how they out Dobbs from the mansion.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, The Inheritance, and was looking forward to reading the next one in the series. However, it reads a lot like the first one with some more details about the brides. Hopefully, the third book in the series will be better.

Thank you, NetGalley and the publisher for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The Mirror picks up right where the Inheritance left off, so the plot moves quickly and continues this pace throughout the book. The mix of everyday life task with the mystery and hauntings of the house move the book along, and the mix of history as Sonya sees what happened to the seven brides brings the emotional pull to the story. Sonya and Trey continue to develop their relationship. Trey is the best boyfriend material, and Cleo and Owen deepen their flirt. I can't wait to see how this foursome defeats the evil witch.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book. I have been reading Nora Roberts books since I was a teenager and for the past twenty something years she has been an automatic read for me, her trilogies being my favorite.

I am giving this book four stars only because I feel as though it was a little long in places. I enjoyed going back to the story of Sonya, Cleo, Trey, and Owen, but I feel as though some parts were redundant.

That being said, I really enjoyed the book. Learning more about each individual Lost Bride and their thoughts was an important and enjoyable part of the book. I also really appreciated the closure for Sonya in her professional life.

Overall, a very solid and entertaining read!

The Mirror picks up with the story right where The Inheritance leaves off, and in true Nora Roberts fashion, it’s hard to put down. The world she has created is such an intriguing escape. It’s got a great balance of spooky and comedic timing. And the friendships, living situations, and relationships— while hard to believe in real life— are written in a way that makes it easy to suspend disbelief and go with it.

The Mirror fleshes out more of what was introduced in The Inheritance. The reader gets the back story on the lost brides of the manor as well as more details on the evil villain, Hester Dobbs. I was a bit surprised by the revelations on Dobbs, as the foundations for her character seem oddly flimsy, but I’m willing to bet the full arc of her character and motivations won’t be revealed until the third installment.

This is a true middle novel and cannot stand alone, so I’d definitely recommend reading The Inheritance first.

I’d like to thank St Martin’s Press and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I dove into "The Mirror" with high expectations as a Nora Roberts fan, and I wasn’t disappointed. The continuation of Sonya and Cleo’s journey at Lost Bride Manor, intertwined with the evolving romances of Sonya with Trey and Cleo with Owen, kept me engrossed. While the focus on daily details occasionally slowed the pace, the supernatural elements and the unraveling mysteries surrounding the manor kept me eagerly turning pages. I’m eagerly anticipating the final installment to see how everything resolves. A solid continuation in the trilogy, deserving of 4 stars.

Let me start by saying that this book is far better than Identity. However, this book is far longer than it needed to be.
And, Ms. Roberts is overly obsessed with those blasted dashes. There's not a page without one, usually 3 or 4. Add all the dashes to the awkward sentences and there were some pages I had to read twice to try to figure out what was being conveyed. I wasn't always successful with that task.

Let's not forget the unbelievable perfection of the 4 major protagonists plus their pets and the entire Doyle family. That much perfect is just not possible.

The Mirror has a particular peeve for me. It's the andouille sausage. I'm from Louisiana. Grew up in New Orleans and lived in various parts of the state. You can't always find andouille in the grocery stores there. You're surely not going to find such a specific type of sausage in small town Maine.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for an ARC of The Mirror
