Young readers will be delighted by the cute and comical illustrations, as well as the quick questions and answers. Short and to the point, this book asks silly questions that will make children giggle, while providing fun facts about animals take care of their bodies. I love that it leaves room for grown-ups to talk about the different ways we take care of our human bodies too!

This is a delightful book filled with fun facts about animal hygiene. A great book to read aloud to children to start conversations about different animals as well as their own routine.

Thank you NetGalley and OwlKids for this advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

I received a copy of this eBook from netGalley for a honest review.

Do hippo brush their teeth? No, of course not but they do let fish clean them. Something I didn't know but really enjoyed learning in this fun, cleverly illustrated children's picture book. I learned lots of little hygiene facts about animals and the reason they do some of these things is very interesting. The kids loved the pictures of the animals doing "human" things and I got a kick out of the pictures of them doing their normal behaviors. I definite reread!

Excellent book for the animal-loving kid who likes little facts presented in an easy and fun way. First of all, the pictures are fun and comical! I love how it relates things that we do, as humans, to animals, making a great connection for kids. This book covers several animals with a one sentence question, and a small paragraph answer, then moves onto the next animal. Great for sparking interest in an animal but not good if you are looking for more facts/information on one particular animal.

I have never considered or thought about animal hygiene until this book. There are so many disgustingly interesting facts and details in this book. Kids will love it for sure!

I love the silliness behind a real life concept. Getting kids to brush their teeth can be a chore, but with a fun story to go along with it perhaps it won’t be. Teaching the importance of exercise and so forth. Cute yet simple pictures that go with. Loved this one!

Thank you to NetGalley and OwlKids Books for my gifted copy of Do Hippos Brush Their Teeth? By Etta Kaner. I absolutely adored this book and loved the facts that were included. I learned so much from this book and I can’t wait to share it with my students. The information is delivered in a fun way that makes children guess the answers. Whether you guess correctly or not, the information will help students grow as scientists. I also did not know that this book is part of a series of other similar books and now I must purchase them all for my classroom!

My kids will love this colorful book in question/answer format! Each question about how an animal takes care of themselves is very silly, but it responds with a page of facts about a way that animal uses hygiene.
