What a good phycological thriller! I couldn’t stop listening to it. The narrators did great! I loved the plot and the twist in this book.

Sometimes, I really just hope the ultimate reveal will be something more substantial than “All the women were fighting with each other over some man.” And sometimes it is, but more often than not, that turns out to be the story.

This book was mostly fun, fluffy, and reasonably intriguing. I enjoyed it. When I need another quick, suspenseful thriller, I will consider other novels from this writer.

Cassie has it all: the perfect house, exciting new job, handsome husband, and cute son. Her life looks absolutely perfect on the outside. When she and her family move to her husband's childhood home, past family secrets cant help but come to light. She has a history of being paranoid and it doesn't help that her husband is being evasive about his past and feeding every insecurity she has.

I absolutely loved this read! I could not put the book down. I don’t think I’ve ever read a book so quickly! I ate this one up. I’m usually pretty good as guessing the ending of a book up in this case I was absolutely wrong. By the end of this book my jaw was quite literally on the floor! I highly recommend this thriller. It was definitely hard to put down. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC it was definitely one of my faves!

The Narrator did a good job distinguishing between who was speaking. The accents and voices were distinct From each other.

Overall, a fairly easy read.
Easy to put down and pick back up again. I found myself rooting for certain characters.
I thought that the neighbor's mother was gonna have more to do with the plot, and I really wanted suki to be involved in john's take down!
I didn't find the twists to be too outrageous, and I liked that most plot points were wrapped up in the end

I Let Her In is a psychological thriller that asks the question, do you really know the people you meet, your friends? Are they really what they seem or who they say they are? Cassie is thrust into a new town where she befriends Amy. The rest of the story you must read to find out, who really is who they say they are.
This was a good read that I will recommend. Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for my advanced audio copy.

A dark secret is revealed revolving around characters that seem untrustworthy. The protagonist & myself were wondering who was lying & who was the one to be afraid of.

With several layers & twists in this psychological thriller, I finished it in one day.

Kristin Atherton & Emma Swan do an exceptional job narrating the different characters telling the story.

Thank you, Maria Frankland, bookouture, Bookouture Audio & netgalley for my copy. All opinions are my own.

I love when audiobooks have different narrators for each POV, although I preferred one narrator’s voice over the other. I didn’t find it to be as twisty or suspenseful as I would have liked, but it was a quick listen and kept me entertained enough to keep wanting to know what happened.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.

Always something dark and twisty bound to happen when a couple moves back to one of their hometowns. A hometown with a history. A wife looking for new friends and a place to call home. Soon in in the book ,“I Let her In”, becomes a twisty psychological suspense book that will not let its readers down. Recommend to all who like a fast paced thriller.

This was a super twisty and crazy ride and I was totally here for it! I just knew her hubs had something to do with the bad thing that happened in the past...he was a total bag of dicks! I didn't see that last twist coming and I love that! This was my 1st book by Maria Frankland but is definitely not my last!

This was a slow burn for sure. I struggled to want to keep going. I was starting to think it was me, but once I hit 51% this book picked up and took off like a Boeing 747 being tossed around in a tornado. So if hang in there when you read it, it does pick up. It was told in different POVs. Like one POV was about 8 chapters. That was ok for the first character shift, but I really struggled after it shifted back, but then I got the hang of it. I just wish the shifts were more often, but perhaps that helped set the story up, but for me it was tough, I just wanted to see the difference in the other character. I really enjoyed this book once we got through the 50% mark. I listened and read this book. The narrator did good, my being midwestern American I had to turn the speed down from 2x to 1.75x and then it was an easy listen. #ILetHerIn #NetGalley

This audiobook was made available to me by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I feel like the narrators did a good job and were distinctive enough that I could tell the difference between the characters right away. Personal preference, I wasn't the biggest fan of the voice of Cassie but I did like the voice of Amy, but that didn't take anything away from my ability to listen and understand.

Unfortunately this story fell a little flat for me. Everything played out without much suspense. I wanted more buildup and reasoning behind what the summary gave away and I don't feel like I got it. And I wanted more twists. The main reveal didn't seem so revealing since we knew the characters so well. But maybe I could say that's good on the author for letting us know the characters?

Overall it was a quick one sitting read and I did enjoy my time reading enough to give it 3 stars.

Apparently, I am in the minority with this book, because I really, really didn't enjoy it. I have never cared less about what happened to the characters in a book. To sum up my feelings, after reading the entire thing, my main thought was, "so?"

My rating guide:
1- Hated it, don't read this
2- Not for me, you might like it
3- Very good! Add to your long list
4- Loved it, you need to read
5- NEW FAVORITE!!! READ IT NOW!

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the advanced copy of the audiobook of this book. It was a bit of a delay, for my life has undergone so much change lately, and I couldn't be more thankful.

As per the audiobook, the narrators were fine. They were able to give life to the story and aid in my immersive reading as I figured out the secrets of the book.

The characters were relatable, and I loved the twists and turns and the drama that this book brought to the table. I found myself relating so much to Amy that I questioned myself at some point. I didn't expect the reveal that happened around 90% of the book when we switched POV.

As per the pacing, it was fine. There were just inconsistencies that I found in the character of Cassie, which I didn't really mind as I saw the bigger picture. I questioned her character as a mother. There was some point where she didn't really care when Teddy got sick, but when Teddy disappeared, her mother's instincts were very visible.

Overall, I recommend this to readers who love rich people and domestic drama. It's insanely thrilling, and I loved reading from the heads of these amazing women in the story.

I really enjoyed I Let Her In. It was my first read by Maria Frankland and I will be sure to check out her other work in the future.

I thought the story was fairly fast pace and the twists were great. The characters were charmingly un-likeable but I was really into that.

🎧📖 note: Kristin Atherton & Emma Swan did a fantastic job with their characters.

Lies, deception, and secrets saturate this suspenseful thriller. The role of victim and villain is ever-changing as truths come to light and lies are exposed. I was entertained by the different POVs and constant sense of foreboding. The narrators masterfully brought the characters to life while adding a layer of intrigue and intensity. I enjoyed the many cliffhangers throughout along with the satisfying conclusion. Thank you, NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for my audiobook.

I LOVED this audiobook from Maria Franklin - fellow fans of psychological fiction will appreciate that this is just on the right side of creepy...

The plot revolves around Cassie, a woman who, along with her preschooler son, Teddy and husband, Jon, has moved to her dream home - the property the family have inherited following the passing of Jon's mother. While the couple's marriage is fairly stable, Jon is a man of high standards, and as such Cassie needs to be on top of her game - the perfect trophy wife. Cassie persuades a grudging Jon to allow her to pursue a career, and is delighted when she meets Amy, a young woman who volunteers her services to walk the family's dog. It is not long however, until we become privy to Amy's thought processes, cue the creepy!! What follows is one hell of a read / listen! Woah, this book is an absolute rollercoaster! Utterly gripping and had me listening until the early hours!

A gripping story, narrated with utter expertise, there is nothing not to like! I would 100% recommend this audiobook.

My thanks to Netgalley, author and publisher for the opportunity to review this audiobook on exchange for an advance copy.

"I Let Her In" is an intriguing and unsettling tale that explores the theme of revenge and justice, offering a captivating blend of mystery and thriller genres. At times, I found myself fascinated by the story but also unsettled by its dark and creepy atmosphere. The characters in the novel were complex and well-developed, and I appreciated the different perspectives from which the story was told. Despite the fact that the identity of the villain was clear from the beginning, the plot remained engaging and kept me hooked until the very end.

One of the things I enjoyed most about the novel was the plot's pacing. It was fitting, neither too slow nor too fast, and kept me on the edge of my seat. The story held my attention from start to finish, and the ending was rough and graphic, leaving a deep impression. I highly recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys a good mystery novel, as it is both thought-provoking and thrilling.

Finally, I would like to sincerely thank NetGalley for providing me with a free and advanced copy of the novel.
