Cassie has it all: the perfect house, exciting new job, handsome husband, and cute son. Her life looks absolutely perfect on the outside. When she and her family move to her husband's childhood home, past family secrets cant help but come to light. She has a history of being paranoid and it doesn't help that her husband is being evasive about his past and feeding every insecurity she has. When a new friend and dog walker, Amy, enters her life, she starts to realize that her husband and their new home have more secrets than she could have ever imagine. Add a potential former flame of her husband's as the next door neighbor, and Cassie can't help but dig into the past.
As a thriller fan, I was very excited to read this book and it did not disappoint. I was kept guessing until the very end about who murdered Jade and who knew the details about it. I enjoyed Cassie's character so much and loved how the author balanced her need to uncover the truth with her instinct to protect her son at all costs. I feel the character of Amy could have been more consistent throughout the book: in the first half she is sinister and vengeful, but by the second half she is portrayed as meek and a victim. It was difficult to reconcile these two personality descriptions with the same character, though I couldn't help but root for her anyways.
If you love thrillers, you'll love this book and it is worth the read.
Interesting idea to write a book with not a single likable character! Not really a new take on things, but a good book overall.
The narrator was very good.
Cassie has the perfect life. She has a wonderful husband, Jon, and a beautiful son Teddy. They have all they could ever need and money is not an issue. Cassie and Jon are moving into his childhood home after the passing of his mother. They had a much bigger home before but Cassie felt so isolated being away from everything and especially paranoid about the strange noises she had started hearing. The move is her chance for a fresh start and to get back into work and a social life. Jon is a great husband who enjoys having a wife who is always so put together and attentive to their son. Cassie cannot wait to make friends and befriends a woman at the park close to their new home. The woman, Amy, is so nice and friendly and also volunteers to help Cassie out by walking her dog when Cassie returns to work. then the strange noises start also happening in the new house and Cassie has a feeling that something or someone has followed them.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and could not put it down. I love a good thriller and this one kept me very intrigued. I think that the characters were developed really well and the story moved along well.
It’s described as a domestic thriller and it definitely follows through on that. It grabs you from the beginning. It’s full of secrets and suspense. Told from different points of view which is always a plus as you get a feel for the different characters. Well developed storyline and mostly likeable characters but some not so much. The narrator does a great job at keeping you engaged. It’s an easy but quick listen as it moves at a steady pace and it’s one I kept looking forward to picking up. Would recommend…

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC! I really enjoyed this one. I do feel as though many of the storylines were "done before" in other books almost as though it was a mix of other psychological thrillers put together. Not super original but still a little suspenseful. Easy listening read on audiobook. I would read more from this author. At the end the narrator did get the two voices mixed up and that made it very confusing.
I let her in by Maria Franklin’s is a must read. This psychological thriller will have you begging for more with twists you don’t see coming. The suspense will have you continuously reading until the end.
I do love a book where you aren't quite sure of who is lying and why. This was one of those. As the tale draws to a close and loose ends are tied up the story has a sinister twist that you weren't expecting.
well written and keeps you on your toes to the very last paragraph
I loved this book! The narration for I Let Her In was absolutely fantastic. Having the two narrators made following along really easy. And both narrators were so dynamic that I felt like I was listening to a movie or play. It really enhanced the story.
Maria Frankland did a marvelous job with this storyline. I was cringing the moment Amy would not relent when trying to get Cassie to be her friend. I felt the ick and wanted Cassie to run, but she didn't, and I'm glad. The whole progression of the story kept me entertained. I kept waiting for Amy to go unhinged, but was surprised when Jon just lost it was a bit unbelievable that Amy didn't see this at all during their relationship. I also really enjoyed Becca's character. I just wanted her to scream out what happened in the past! I totally thought her mother was actually dead and she had some terrible secret in her house. I thought the story came together really well audibly yelled, "No way!" when it was revealed how the girl actually died. That's a good book.
This is a book I will definitely recommend to friends and family. It was a fun, well written thriller that so many people will enjoy. I will look forward to Maria's future publications! Thank you for this opportunity to listen and review this book on NetGalley!
So when a Maria Frankland book appears even if I have read it I have to listen to it as it brings a different vibe (both really enjoyable). This was so fast paced, and well narrated. It has unlikeable characters, characters on the side-lines who you don't know how they will feature until they do, mummy guilt and loss of identity. It is all in there and made for such an amazing listen.
I liked how it was written- usage of literary tools. The story drags on a bit but there are enough twists to keep up the intrigue.
Narration of the audiobook is clear and well paced but I wasn’t a fan of the voice portrayals.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
This book was so gripping. I really enjoyed this book and I was pretty sure who had actually committed the murder and was surprised to find I was slightly wrong. I really enjoyed the multiple perspectives and how it really made the book for twisted.
This is a well written fast paced thriller. The scene is set in a nice suburban neighborhood with unsuspecting characters. Well at least one was unsuspecting. 2 of the characters teenage pasts catch up to them and the record is set straight once and for all. But first, there's some drama and much harm. Love, lust, kidnapping, murder? Was it all an honest mistake at a high school party or was there jealous driven intent? Don't miss this one!
Honestly… I couldn’t get into this one.
I felt like the premise was interesting. There just wasn’t a part of it that really reeled me in.
I actually DNF. Maybe I will give it another go in the future. But for now it just wasn’t for me.

What a thriller! The book started out slow but it sped up quickly. The ending leaves your mouth wide open. The suspected killer isn't actually the killer.
I highly recommend this book for suspense readers. The characters were tastefully done and their point of views throughout the book made it even better.
I received the audiobook "I Let Her In" from NetGalley for a honest review.
This is my first book by Maria Frankland and boy I can't wait to read more of her books. I enjoyed listening to the audiobook and boy it kept me entertained. The narrator did a stellar job with enhancing the story. The different view points provided an interesting and engaging tale about two characters that meet one day. Within time you find how the characters Amy and Cassie lives are intertwined.
Many of the twists and turns I didn't see coming. If you want a book that will keep you up at night and may leave you wanting more---this is it!
This was the first book I read by Maria Frankland, and it didn't disappoint! It's a fast-paced thriller about a married couple whose lives seem so normal until Amy, their new dog-sitter, comes around. I'm a huge thriller girly, and I enjoyed this book
When Cassie moves to her husband Jon's childhood home, she quickly learns that the house- as well as her husband and the neighbor- have a dark history. Complicating the situation, Cassie hires a new nanny to help with her son, Teddy, and their dog while she starts her new job. Unfortunately, Cassie realizes too late that she may have made a big mistake.
I really enjoyed this one! I liked the idea that Cassie thought she was moving back to this wealthy neighborhood where her husband grew up only to find out that his memories are not so rosy. I also loved the suspense built by the characters from the neighborhood knowing things Cassie doesn't. It kept things really interesting. I would definitely try more from this author!
4.5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
✨Cassie and Jon just moved in to Jon’s parents house. Cassie is always paranoid with the sounds coming from the house. She met a lady called Amy, who had a dog who she has lost but Cassie and Amy gotten close together. Jon’s parents house has a dark secret behind it and why Amy is involved ?
✨ Story was great. Not long not too short. The twist at the end is unexpected so I’m quite impress how it turned out.
✨ Great read. Thriller was mild. Surprises and mild suspense.

The two POVs in this story are used very strategically which I enjoyed as each POV gives new details that are useful to the reader. I found the entire premise a little far-fetched as Amy works her way into Cassie's life too easily, but as the story unfolds I found myself still enjoying the ride.
It was hard for me to get past all the ignorance of Cassie both with her lame controlling husband and with her new-found "friend" Amy. I found myself frustrated by her willingness to assume the best in people, but also recognize people like this exist in real life.
Most of the twists I found predictable but that did not take much away from my enjoyment of the overall read. The narrators did a fantastic job in their parts so I think they are partially to thank for my favorable stars. The narration having two voices helped me keep track of who's POV I was currently on as well.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the ARC!
Settling into her husband Jon's childhood home with their family is exactly what they needed. Everything was going smoothly, but Cassie couldn't shake the feeling of being constantly watched. That was part of the reason for the move, after all. Maybe she was imagining things.
Their next-door neighbor Becca wasn't exactly welcoming, but at least Cassie had made a new friend in Amy. However, can Cassie trust Amy? As I read this book, I was captivated from start to finish.
While I found Cassie overly naive and annoying at times, it did not diminish the book's overall intrigue and suspense.
