Doon

Doon was a fantasy that started off pretty slow and it was hard to get into. I was disappointed in this book. I thought there was no real rhyme or reasoning for some of the actions in the book. Both Mackenna and Victoria were not very likable. They also had no personalities.
The world building was non-existent. Nothing really made me want to keep coming back to the book.
Thank you to Zondervan and NetGalley for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I could have easily LOVED this book, but there were a few things that really bothered me. (Since I lost my super long review, I'll just keep it to a few major points.)
This book had potential to be really great. I loved the concept, and I really enjoyed the magical feel to the book. Duncan was an amazing character, and Veronica wasn't so bad.
Reviewing old arcs, have tried to read but couldn't get into. Won't be trying again so no formal review will be posted on social media.
I requested this one back in the day as I had every intention of reading it. However, its been years and I still haven't gotten around to it and while I feel guilty at not reviewing a book I think that I need to admit to myself that I won't be reading this one anytime soon....if at all.
I'm always a fan of fantastical novels that whisk characters off to another world...add in some dreamy boys with Scottish accents and some musical fabulous-ness and I was hooked! Doon was dramatic, fantastical, and so much fun to read!
