4.5 stars - This is my new favorite Teagan Hunter book!
There's so many factors about this story that I love, and listening to it on audio made it even better. From the witty banter, to the mistaken identity (think You've Got Mail with a little spice thrown in), topped off with a curvy FMC and a cinnamon roll hero...you can just put a fork in me, I'm done.
I laughed so hard through most of this book and didn't want it to ever end. The best friends and siblings are supportive and hilarious, making each moment fly by while putting a smile on my face and counting down until they next appear on page.
Most of all, I appreciate that the author made Olive such a genuine character, and my plus-size heart adored watching her stand up for her beliefs and values while facing scrutiny by the public eye.
Once Jude called her "Sunshine", I knew that I'd love their journey from beginning to end. If you're looking for a cute romantic comedy that will get you out of a book slump, or just make your day a little brighter, add this to your TBR!

A hilarious and steamy take on the pen pal trope.
I found the premise so unique and couldn't help but immediately fall and root for our main characters.
Their romance was fun and the dynamic hilarious.
I am sad to know that this is a standalone because I did like the side characters a lot but still happy that I got to read it in the first place

The DM Diaries by Teagan Hunter is a delightful and heartwarming romantic comedy that kept me engaged from the first page to the last. Olive O’Brien, a plus-size influencer, is a relatable and endearing protagonist with big dreams and an authentic voice. The dynamic between Olive and Jasper Rafferty, the charming movie star, is cleverly crafted and full of unexpected twists.
Hunter skillfully weaves together the themes of authenticity, vulnerability, and self-acceptance in the age of social media, creating a story that feels both modern and timeless. The development of the relationship between Olive and Jude, Jasper's brother, adds an intriguing layer of complexity that keeps the reader invested in the outcome.
The humor and chemistry between the characters make this book a joy to read, and the exploration of the consequences of internet personas and the complexities of modern romance is both thought-provoking and entertaining. The DM Diaries is a sweet, funny, and emotionally resonant story that I wholeheartedly recommend to fans of contemporary romance.

Super cute. Who doesn’t dream of having a Hollywood hunk date them? Add in a plus-size model as the heroine and you were always going to win me over, especially with the spunk and personality that Olive has. Loved the vulnerability they both have but the strength they provide to each other. Few little spicy scenes but the banter and humor is what my rom-com dreams were made of. Thank you to NetGalley for a chance to read and review this book.

I really really wanted to love this book, as i have with all other Teagan Hunter books.
There is just something charming about the charming silly way she writes characters even if it’s just too cheesy to believe.
This book however just didn’t have the magic all her other books had and at multiple times while reading it i had to check about the writer as it just didn’t have the same tone as her other books.
The characters in this were bland and basic caricatures and just not pleasent to read about.
Unfortunately a completely forgettable experience.

A well executed and fun to read book that had me both laughing and crying!
Olive is the perfect amount of sassy, while Jude has major cinnamon roll mmc, but make him famous, vibes. I love that he fell first and hard; and that Olive called him out on all of his BS.
A perfect summer read with "You've Got Mail" vibes.
I recieved a free ARC of this book, this is my unbiased opinion.

Hmm, I was a bit disappointed with this one even though I usually like Teagan's writing. I don't know if I just wasn't in the mood for it at the time of reading but I just didn't really have any interest in the story. I kept dropping the story and then forcing myself into picking it back up again because I don't love DNF'ing books and I wanted to edit and review this one for my ig. I've held off on reviewing for so long though because it is TH's FIRST trad published book and I'm happy that bigger things are coming for her.
For me personally, something about Olive just didn't have me hooked, there were a few times at the start in particular where she annoyed me and I just couldn't seem to change my opinion on her. And whilst I didn't mind Jude, I still wasn't fully invested. I was actually more invested in his brother having an enemies to lovers style relationship with Jude's PA, or their sister getting a story. Unfortunately, TH has already said that this is a standalone and won't become a series though, so my dream is shattered lol.
One thing I did really like though was the sibling relationship between the Rafferty's. They were fun and charming and I enjoyed seeing them interacting with one another.
*ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

I genuinely love this author - both as an author and as a person - so it pains me to say I DNF'd this book. A story based on lies is never going to stand out for me, and the immaturity of these supposed adult characters was just too much.

The DM Diaries from Teagan Hunter was a quick, fun read with great banter. I really enjoyed the book.

I do love how Teagan Hunter can always make me laugh out loud while reading. The playful banter was my favorite part. I know she.has become popular with her hockey romance books, but I've been reading her for years and it was fun to see her write outside of hockey again. It took me back to her Testing series when the DMs and the in person meetings!

A cookie-cutter read of heartfelt, confident heroine (sexy plus size model) and earnest nepo-baby actor (off-the-charts attractive) trade cockiness and eye hearts in spades. If you like the trope of good-looking, privileged young people easily falling in love with HEA, this ticks the box, but is in no way elevating the genre.

I loved the first 50%. There was mystery and mistaken identity, and so much messaging. The tingles were so great. But around 60% when the MCs get together it fell off for me. They were cute but it was only so-so.
This book would have gained a whole star from me if the MCs had been in their 30s instead of 25.
Around 70% I started to drag my feet. I personally felt the third act drama was good but the reconciliation was too quick and close to the end of the book. There is an HEA but we see NONE of it.

Thank you NetGalley and Montlake for an ARC of this book.
What I liked best about this book were the well-rounded characters. I've always liked it when authors combine the familiar trope of a mistaken identity or secret identity with an unique virtual message, pen pal, or text message mix-up, so when I spotted Teagan Hunter's The DM Diaries, I knew I had to give it a shot! I really enjoyed Jude and Olive's interactions in their DMs, which were full of witty quips and the ease of two people who truly understood each other. Overall, I thought the book was pretty entertaining. There was a lot of drama, but I would expect no less from a relationship with celebs and influencers!

I had so much fun reading this book. We have a curvy FMC who owns her curves and the sweetest cinnamon roll hero. I love the support both of these characters had. It was just all around a great read.

I really enjoyed this story. The banter between the two main characters and the meet cute were perfect.i also really loved the the MFC was plus size. I feel like we don’t get much representation in romance novels so it was really refreshing

loved this romance and her mom wants her to date this guy she has these amazing friends who are all dealing with different relationship issues . loved that she found her way in the job and found love

I really enjoyed Olive and Jude's story and chemistry, I think it's a bit predictable the ending, but in general I like reading this story.
This is my first time reading the author but won't be the last.

Was this my favorite book by Teagan Hunter? No, but I still really enjoyed it. Jude and Olive were sweet characters, and their chemistry was palpable. I liked how the mistaken/hidden identity aspect of this story played out and that it wasn't this super drawn-out thing taking up a huge part of the story. I liked how their relationship developed, and I appreciated how they came back together in the end. Jude's grand gesture was honestly so perfect for this story.
I understand why people want this book to turn into a series, as I am very curious about Jasper's story, but I also really appreciate this being a true standalone, where we get to decide for ourselves what happens with everyone else after the story ends.
I'm still very much a fan of Teagan Hunter, and I will definitely be reading whatever she comes out with next.
✔️ Hidden/Mistaken Identity
✔️ Celebrity

✔️ He Takes Care of Her
✔️ First Person Dual POV

I really enjoyed it! I gave it 4 stars and would definitely recommend. I loved the banter between the characters, the idea of the meet cute, and the plus size representation's. As a plus sized woman, I love seeing plus size women portrayed in books.

I just finished reading The DM Diaries, and I have to say, it's a delightful rom-com that kept me entertained from start to finish. The story follows the journey of a young woman who falls for a charming guy, but their paths keep crossing in unexpected ways. As I read, I found myself drawn into the narrative, which is engaging and well-balanced with humor, romance, and emotional depth.
One of the things I enjoyed most about this book was the well-developed characters. The protagonist's growth throughout the story was palpable, and I found myself rooting for her. The author's writing style is smooth and easy to follow, making it a pleasure to read. The pacing is well-managed, with a good mix of lighthearted moments and more serious scenes.
What really stood out to me was the author's ability to capture the complexities of modern relationships. Themes like communication, trust, and vulnerability are tackled in a relatable and realistic manner. The dialogue is witty and natural, making the interactions between characters feel authentic.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the story, there were a few areas where I felt it could be improved. Some of the plot twists felt predictable to me, and the ending could have been more satisfying. However, these minor criticisms didn't detract too much from my overall enjoyment of the book.
Overall, The DM Diaries is a fun and heartwarming read that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance. If you're looking for a lighthearted escape with a dash of emotional depth, I'd definitely recommend giving this book a try. It's an easy, enjoyable read that will leave you feeling good.
