This is a quick, fun read that shines a light on the pitfalls of the celeb life: Olive might be trying to build her career as a model and influencer, but gets a little more than she bargained for when she ends up in the orbit of Jude and his ultra-famous acting family. While I found the initial premise a bit of a stretch (would you really use a famous actor’s DMs as your personal and private journal?), there’s no denying that Olive and Jude have plenty of chemistry. The relationships with the supporting characters - Jude and his siblings, Olive and Annie - were also very strong, and I’m guessing there may be more to come in this particular world.

A slow burn done right with an amazing balance of romance and side characters. The overall plot was good, the Hollywood of it all was off putting at times but Teagan always nails the story

I really love this book. It had me smiling almost the entire time. It was so freaking adorable. As a plus size girl, I love that the FMC was curvy on top of fun and strong and Jude was so sweet. This was highly enjoyable and I definitely recommend

The premise of DM Diaries had a great hook. DM'ing a stranger - a Hollywood Heartthrob, no less- about your every hope and dream, and suddenly getting a response and moving on to becoming friends was a very interesting story line. Olive and "Jasper the movie star" (but not really Jasper) got along so well online. Jude, Jasper's less famous and definitely introverted brother, was DM'ing Olive in his brother's place because he read her VERY personal messages and thought she seemed like a nice person. Their story progressed - very very slowly- until they finally went from BFFs online and "Hate your guts" offline to all consuming love.
What really irked me is the fact that they kept bumping into each other at the coffee shop and Jude never recognized Olive. Yes, she had a hat and sunglasses on, but is it really so difficult to recognize a person with a hat and sunglasses? And not recognizing someone you spend so much time talking to online? And even after meeting them MULTIPLE times? Wasn't the most believable "OMG I did not know who you were" scenario.

This was such a fun, light read. I adore both Olive and Jude from the very start.

The banter between Jude and Olive was fantastic, before and after Olive knew his true identity. There is very obvious chemistry between the two of them from the start, too. Jude is super sweet and protective. I love how he is with Olive and how supportive of her he is. Olive is equally as amazing, I love that no matter what she stands for what she believes in. I also love how supportive she also is of Jude.

I loved the secondary characters in this book and I love the overall premise of the story. It was something a little different and fresh.

If you’re looking for a strangers to lovers rom com check this one out.

Normally, I love all titles from this author, however I was disappointed with what I was reading and had to DNF. Teagan Hunter is one of those authors that I can count on for a fun, lighthearted romance usually with hockey themes and female characters who go outside the norm. Plus size and curvy are what I love to read. The heroine felt so immature, and I couldn't connect with her at all.

I had such a fun time reading this one! It had me cracking up through out the whole book and i really enjoyed most of it! Olive and Jude were the sweetest and i loved their dynamic and their banter was amazing! I loved the build up to the identity reveal, it was such a fun story! honestly the only part of the story i didnt enjoy was the breakup but im so glad they were able to make up and get their HEA!

3.5 this book was fun and quick read. Olive and Jude’s relationship starting off with him impersonating his brother online while also running into her in real life and starting to like her in both places was cute. Once she found out who he was the relationship became even better with the banter and the situations they found themselves in. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC

I read 23% of this book, but I just got annoyed by both Jude and Olive. I’m not sure why their characters were bothering me so much, because at first they were okay. When I got to the point that I didn’t want to read either of their POVs I decided it was time to dnf this book.

This book was awesome! I loved the cute banter between Jude and Olive. The fact that they didn’t know who they were arguing with over coffee added a layer of anticipation that had me deliciously anxious how their true identity would be revealed. And holy heck! It was more than I expected.

I loved that this was a mishmash of humor, drama, and emotion with fantastic secondary characters making up this couple’s friends and family. This is a quick paced read that never slowed down, holding my attention from the first page to the last. As someone who rarely reads rom-coms, there is only one way to describe this…utterly delightful!

I have two kinds of book categories, weekday books (books you can put down in order to work the next day) and wekend/time off books (books so good you may need to binge so you should have a day off). I discovered Teagan Hunter by accident on my first subscription run of Kindle Unlimited, read her Texting Series in a span of about 3 days (thats 4 books), and she quickly fell into the weekend category. When this book showed up on NetGalley, without even an approval gatekeeping, I quickly requested it and couldn't wait to read it (on the weekend of course).

Not only have I loved the Teagan Hunter books I've read in the past, but I'm such a sucker for a texting/messaging trope and great banter. This book's premise is centered around DM messages so it seemed right up my alley.

I loved both characters of Jude and Olive. At first it took me a bit to get into Olives "influencer" job as sometimes that rubs me the wrong way in real life when you can't tell what's real or true opinions when you make a living by convincing people to buy the things people are paying you to. What I liked about Olive's represtatiom as an influencer is that she really wanted to make a difference with inclusive and sustainable brands and even turned down a lucrative offer from a major brand who didn’t fit those values.

The messaging banter was sweet and fun, and I loved that the author mixed in some interactions in real life with some banter too to give it a good mix. I also liked that the book didn't stay in the "digital" world for too long...about half the book.

Overall this book was a solid 4* for me, and the only reason it wasn't a 5* was something that was sort of annoying to me. Without giving a spoiler, there's a typical 3rd act drama that Olive is pretty upset about. She eventually realizes she doesn't blame Jude at all, but she's mad that it happened and so distraught by the whole thing she acts devastated. The thing is though, she did it to herself. Those that haven't read the book won't understand this, so I hesitate to even mention it, but Olive did not know Jasper Rafferty at all. He was a huge celebrity and she only knows what's in the media, which having the job she does should tell her she knows nothing "real" about him. He could have been an absolute asshole and totally got his rock off by doing himself what happened in the book to Olive. Regardless of her relationship with Jude, Jasper was an even bigger celebrity so what happened to her could have happened on that large of a scale even without Jude. It really didn't make sense to me the way that she reacted when she was the one who caused it. Overall, it was drama for the story and added to how the rest of the book played out, but reading that chapter or two sort of annoyed me.

Overall still a fun book that I enjoyed and will continue to read anything Teagan Hunter writes...on the weekend 😉

This book was everything I knew it would be. It’s got the flirty banter. It’s got the sassy heroin who deserves all the love. I literally love when there is cute emails involved and then you have like the hidden identity kind of and you have all the lovely banter. This book was so cute.

Teagan has been one of my favorites for a while and this one is no exception to that. This book was so much fun!
It had me smiling through the whole book. Olive and Jude have the best banter and messages.
Olive O'Brien, a plus-size model and influencer, never expected that sliding into Jasper Rafferty's DMs would lead to anything. Jude Rafferty took over his brother's social media, he's intrigued by Olive's authenticity, which is vastly different than he's used to. What will happen when his secret is discovered??!!
Both Olive and Jude had the best support system. Annie is a great friend to Olive. Jasper and Cait were great siblings to Jude and really good side characters in this book. I'm crossing my fingers that Jasper will get a book too.
I absolutely love a good secret pen pal / wrong number trope and Teagan has always been one of my favorites at it.
...Let's get textual is still one of my favorite. I loved the banter between Olive and Jude. Their DMs made me laugh with the corny jokes, talks of chicken n aliens. I also found the book had a great plus size representation and everything that comes with being a plus size woman and the struggle and self image.
Overall, this book was a lot of fun to read. I truly enjoyed the laughter it brought.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy

Liked this one a lot, I’ve loved all the books by this author so this wasn’t a surprise to me. How can you go wrong with these tropes?

So this was a sweet story and I liked that both of the characters had a certain amount of fame (rather than the famous/common pair up). Olive is an instagrammer and model while Jude is an actor. I loved his siblings too. The overall story was sweet and played on the whole "you've got mail" idea except using tech and direct messaging. I enjoyed learning more about each character and while the story was unbelievable (why would you assume that your personal information was safe when writing to an actor's instagram account? Olive did and used it as a place to store her diary-like information), the characters were just well developed enough to make this reader entrenched in the story. I did think parts were really slow but there was enough movement for me to flow through the story. Overall a good read.

This book was super cute! The characters had a great chemistry and banter and it was a lot of fun. I liked the relationship not only between Olive and Jude but Jude and his siblings and Olive and Annie. They all worked well together and I was rooting for the happy ending! Such a fun, easy read!

I had trouble with the story but it was because I don't prefer influencers and all the bullshit with fake news, paparazzi, and all the yellow pages and they are a huge part of this story. Olive and Jude are ok and have a few funny moments but nothing new.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgalley

The DM Diaries is an entertaining story! I found myself laughing as well as feeling compassion for both characters.
This book had quite the dilemmas that most people face, except these characters are in the limelight.
Its an enjoyable read with some interesting people and emotional moments as well. I applaud Ms Hunter for writing it. I have always loved her work and it didn’t disappoint!

"If there's anything I've learned, it's that life is too short not to forgive, and really too damn short not to love."

Olive O'Brien is a plus-size model, living with her roommate Annie and going on with her life trying to succeed in a world where plus-size women are looked down upon and sometimes bullied.
Her therapist advised her to write down her feelings and thoughts but what Olive did was write a digital diary not on an app BUT using Jasper Rafferty's DMs as a method to write down everything she is feeling coz in the end who would read them, he isn't going to check out his DMs coz he is a very famous Hollywood actor.
However, fate had other plans where Jude Rafferty for reasons explained in the book had to log in to his brother's account and so he came upon Olive's DMs and couldn't stop himself from reading and TEXTING HER!!!
So, what started as a msg continued to talk daily while Olive thought that she was texting his brother.

As for Jude Rafferty, he is the youngest brother in the Rafferty family. They come from money and fame and he's making his comeback movie and focusing on bringing back his career. Never did he think that he would find love in this unexpected way but life has other plans for them and things are about to get EXCITING!!!!
Loved every single page of this book. It was funny, sweet, and romantic.
It focused on how famous people are viewed and deemed and how tough that life could be especially if you are trying to have a relationship in a world where there's no privacy.
I LOVED Jude and Olive they were so cute together and he was a total cinnamon roll hero.
Highly recommend making sure to pre-order your copy 😉.
Thank you so much @netgalley and the publisher for granting me an ARC of #TheDMDiaries in exchange for my honest review.

Xoxo💋
