I thought this book was really cute, and I liked the premise a lot. It’s about two best friends Holly and ivy. Holly is all set to get married until her fiance calls off her wedding the night before. She can’t go on her nonrefundable honeymoon, so she tells her best friend Ivy that she should take the trip instead. Ivy has a two week art retreat planned, which ends up being exactly what Holly needs. The two switch places, Holly heads to upstate New York and Ivy heads to Hawaii.
There were some elements to this book that was a little over the top, but if you look past that, its a cute story that follows two people who are on their own journeys and meet some cute boys along the way.
The narrator of this book kind of drove me nuts, so if you plan to read it, i’d recommend reading with your eyes because yikes.

The book started off fairly interesting for me but I had a hard time connecting with the main characters. Honestly felt like it was dragging at times and I started to lose interest. Therefore IDF around 30% this book will be for someone but not for me.

This was a delightful and heartwarming romantic comedy. The writing is charming and engaging and the characters are well developed and endearing. This is sure to leave a smile on the reader’s face.
Many thanks to PENGUIN GROUP Putnam and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thank you for the gifted copy! Unfortunately, this wasn’t for me. I mistakenly thought this was a sapphic romance due to the cover and was disappointed to learn it was not. That’s not what made me not enjoy the book though. I found this to be very cookie cutter. In my opinion this is too similar to other stories and the characters were not as engaging or unique as book with similar premises. Other readers may enjoy this, just not my cup of tea!

I did not like the first chapter of the book i feel like i didnt need a whole back story of Holly and Ivy but It was a good book, very hallmark

This is such a fun book!
I absolutely loved Holly + Ivy, and loved seeing the story play out in each other their POVs. I'm a sucker for second chance romance and insta-love, so having both in the same plot line was a treat. This was genuinely one of my favorite books this holiday season!
If you liked The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren, I highly recommend this book!

The Holiday Honeymoon Switch is a fun holiday romance story about two best friends who discover love after swapping vacations. Holly Beech was all set to go to Hawaii for her honeymoon, but her groom abruptly decided he didn’t want to get married and left her. With a non-refundable honeymoon reservation, Holly instead chooses to send her best friend, Ivy Casey, on her honeymoon trip while she takes Ivy’s winter vacation to have some time alone after the heartbreak. While both friends are on their vacations, they don’t plan on seeking love but it seems romance finds them both unexpectedly.
I felt terrible for Holly Beech, who had her heart broken by her ex-fiancé, someone who didn’t deserve her love. Fortunately, while on her winter vacation, she reconnects with someone from her past who is ten times better than her ex. However, I found her storyline less interesting than that of her best friend, Ivy. Holly’s story seemed to revolve around instant love, which didn’t quite resonate with me, especially given that she had just experienced a heartbreak. On the other hand, Ivy’s storyline is much more engaging; she finds someone who shares similar qualities with her and seems perfect for her. This made Ivy’s story a lot of fun to read. Plus, poor Ivy has to deal with someone on her vacation that she didn’t expect to be there, but she gets to find out the truth about why this person broke her best friend’s heart.
I loved the idea of best friends swapping vacations and discovering love while away. It reminded me of a Hallmark movie, both in terms of the story’s settings and how it ended. If you enjoy Hallmark movies, this book might be right up your alley. It does contain some open-door romance scenes, but they aren’t overly steamy. The story is told from a dual point of view, but only through the FMCs’ perspectives; there are no insights into the MMCs’ thoughts. Overall, it’s a fun holiday romance read, and I would give it 3.5 stars.
What to Expect:
🌲Holiday Romance
🌲Instant Love
🌲Found Family
🌲Dual POV – Best Friends POVs Only

My favorite part of this book was Ivy and Holly's friendship. It truly was the heart of the story, even though they both had their own romances.
I did find myself more interested in Ivy's story than Holly's, even though Holly getting jilted is what started this whole story.
I felt like Holly went from getting married one week to in love with a completely different guy she only just (re)met the next week was over the top, even for an avid romance reader like myself. Maybe having them just like each other or her realizing she could potentially like someone else would have been enough. Their story could have ended with them "seeing where things went" and then do an epilogue with a time jump for them to be in love. In that way, I was not the biggest Holly fan.
Ivy was definitely my favorite character, and I loved how passionate she was about her art, her best friend, and life itself.
I also wish there had been more Christmas in this Christmas-themed book.
3.5/5 stars rounded up.

This dual narrative follows Holly and Ivy, who swap vacations after Holly's fiancé calls off their wedding the night before. The story is sweet and enjoyable, but I found myself torn between the two storylines, leaving me wishing for a bit more depth from each. The settings were gorgeous, shifting between the warm paradise of Hawaii and the crisp, cold beauty of New York.

Super cute read! Not only a story about romance (two romances, in fact!) but also a beautiful story about friendship. Holly and Ivy are two friends who meet while at a party, and instantly bond. Many years later, Holly finds herself going through a rough time and in need of a getaway. Ivy, an artist planning on going on an art retreat, tells Holly she will cancel to be with her - but Holly asks to go in her stead. The two go on their separate trips - swapping vacations for the holidays - each finding romance along the way.
I loved Holly and Ivy's friendship, as well as reading each of their blossoming romance. This was definitely a fun, cozy read - paired perfectly with a blanket and warm tea!

Such a cute holiday read with a fun twist! This book had all the cozy holiday vibes I was craving, and the dual storylines kept me hooked from start to finish. I loved the concept of best friends switching vacations and finding love in the most unexpected places. It gave me all the nostalgic feels of 2000's Rom Coms - kind of like The Holiday!
The story follows Holly and Ivy, two inseparable besties who swap their holiday plans—Holly heads to Hawaii for some sun and sand, while Ivy embraces a snowy, picturesque Christmas. What neither of them expects is to find romance waiting for them in these new settings.
The holiday vibes were spot-on, and the settings added so much to the story. Whether it was Holly’s tropical adventure or Ivy’s winter wonderland, I felt like I was right there with them. The “happenstance” moments made the romance feel magical without being overly cheesy.
My only gripe was that the third-act conflicts felt a bit predictable, but they didn’t detract from my overall enjoyment of the book. If you want a festive, feel-good read with lovable characters, charming romances, and all the holiday feels, The Holiday Switch is definitely worth adding to your TBR!

This book is sweet, heartfelt, and worth reading over and over again. To keep Ivy from missing her relaxation trip.. the best friends Holly and Ivy take over each other’s trips after Holly’s wedding is called off the day before by her douche bag ex. After the wedding is call off Holly is numb to it all and doesn’t know why but also keeps questioning why it doesn’t hurt more. Along the way they finds the love they didn’t know they were missing. This story is beautiful and I loved everything about it.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was a refreshing and captivating experience, and I found the writing to be both engaging and accessible. The story flowed smoothly, making it easy to stay connected to the plot and characters without feeling lost or overwhelmed. The author struck a perfect balance, keeping things interesting while still making the content feel approachable. Overall, it was a wonderful read, and I would definitely recommend it to others who are looking for an enjoyable and easy-to-digest book.

This was a fun, sweet and surprisingly reflective (???) book. Enjoyed both FMC. Had that classic holiday feel to it that I'm so partial to. Who knew that reading this in the winter would still be fun even though the holidays are over!

What an great book! The locations were both dreamy and I want to go to both! You get double the romance during this Christmas with both of these stories in one with a little bit of spice.

Thank you NetGalley for a free copy of this arc in return for my honest review.
This book was okay for me! It somewhat had cozy Christmas vibes, plus some good romance and a fun story.
I liked the way the book had two completely different Christmas love stories, one set in a snowy winery and the other in a warm, tropical paradise. I enjoyed Holly’s story more and was excited to read her chapters. Ivy’s, on the other hand, felt like it was missing something, and her relationship felt rushed and random.
The pacing was slow at first, which I liked, but by the end, everything moved way too fast. Both romances happened in just three days, and suddenly, they were saying they were in love. Holly’s relationship made more sense and felt cuter, so I enjoyed that one more. One thing I didn’t like was the friendship between the two main girls it felt toxic and unrealistic. Also, a lot of the things that happened in the story were so over-the-top that they didn’t feel believable.
Overall, I did enjoy getting to experience both love stories!

This was cute! A little cheesy, but that fit the topic and time and of year. I loved the men they ended up with and the two beautiful settings. There wasn’t a ton of depth to the characters but I enjoyed the story and found it entertaining.

What I Liked:
-The premise- friends switch holidays and find romance on their respective trips? In theory, it sounds like a great time.
-The female friendship- I absolutely love the friendship between these two women. It felt very authentic, and I think it's so important for women to have someone who is there for them through thick and thin
-The romance between Ivy and Oliver - this felt very authentic. They had common interests; it didn't seem rushed and I liked how he showed her around the island to his favorite places to create art.
-The journey of self-discovery that Ivy goes through. She never imagined that she could do her art full time and I love that this trip and her budding relationship with Oliver had her questioning if she really could follow her dreams.
What Didn't Work for Me:
- The romance between Holly and Aiden - it felt very awkward, rushed and unrealistic. She has literally just been left at the alter and a week later she is falling for someone else?
- The writing- overall this one felt a little juvenile for me. It felt a lot more like telling instead of showing, if that makes sense
Overall, this one just wasn't for me. I was really vibing with one storyline but as it is an alternating book - I really found myself wanting to skip over Holly's story. 2.5 Stars

When you are still hanging on to the holiday spirit you pick up a cute holiday romance to keep the magic alive.
This was a cute, quick read that was a perfect palette cleanser from all the fantasy I have been reading lately.
Features dual pov, forced proximity and the perfect best friend switch-a-roo!

This story was a nice palate cleanser to the heavy I had been reading! Will look at finding other things by this author. I am grateful for the early access, thank you to those that allowed it!
