4.5⭐️ For 26 days Phoebe has been stuck living the same day over and over again alone. Until her former childhood best friend Jess hits her with their car. Now Jess is somehow stuck in the time loop with Phoebe and before figuring out how to get out of it they decide to take advantage of the situation by having a little fun. Phoebe and Jess were so cute together and I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow as the story went on. The adventures they go on were really fun and I really liked all the side characters.
Time and time again is a heartwarming queer romance that has amazing representation and very relatable characters. It was very entertaining and I highly recommend.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bloomsbury for the ARC of this book, I enjoyed it very much.

This is a book I was really excited for - two disabled protags, nonbinary lesbian rep, time loop! - but right now I just feel…bored. I don’t know if that’s because the book is from Phoebe’s perspective for more than 30 loops she’s followed the same routine or my own focus issues, but I’m just not invested enough to find out what caused the loop or how Phoebe and Jess get out. I may give this another chance at a later date when I’ve got a better focus for quiet-type stories, but for now this is just feeling like a book that isn’t for me.
Phoebe finds herself in a timeloop. She's reliving the same day, over and over. Until she suddenly pulls an old friend turned....not quite enemy, but not friend either, into the loop with her by accident. From there, the duo have fun, grows, learns to stand up for themselves, and fall in love.
I really enjoyed every second of this book. It was fantastic watching Phoebe break out of her shell/. Phoebe has IBS, and over the course of the story learns to stand up for herself to her well-meaning but unknowingly ableist parents. She also learns the truth about parts of her life, like what happened between her and her time-loop companion, Jess, years before when they were little, and more recently, when Jess kissed Phoebe for a game.
Watching Jess and Phoebe fall in love was so much fun, though with two separate climactic dilemmas, I was so stressed before the end of the tale. But they learn to communicate with each other. While this is a love story between the two, it is also Phoebe's path to loving herself, which plays a key role in her being able to love Jess.
This book features a variety of rep as well, unless I am miss-remembering both leads are Jewish, both are disabled (Phoebe with IBS, touching on the inability of doctors to listen to those who are chronically ill, especially when fat, and I will admit Jess's specific disability is escaping me but they actively uses a cane and walker, and there is discussion about ableism in regards to young people with mobility aids and pushing your body too far), and both of them are lesbians, with Jess being an amazing nonbinary lesbian rep.
Overall, I had so much fun, and fell in love with these characters.
I have so much love for this book. I struggled in the first quarter, but then I couldn't put it down. Phoebe is me and I'm a 30 year old nonbinary plus size person who struggles with IBS. So seeing her struggle as she did for long hit me. How many times people point at the weight as the issue instead of really focusing on the person. I felt for her. When she time loops with Jess, I loved every minute of it. How it's like they shared a lifetime when it was only the same day. It's crazy how it all happens and how it all ends. But I left this book with a smile and a hope for the happiness of two fictional characters.
I really loved this sweet story about being stuck and being brave.
Phoebe and Jess were such great main characters. I loved that they were both imperfect, and I loved how they communicated with each other. I think the author did such a great job of embodying what it's like when you fall in love with someone who just feels like they were made for you. Phoebe was so relatable, to me. Even reading this as a 32 year old, she reminded me that things are not always what our anxiety is making them out to be. The friendships in this were also so fun! I loved all of the dynamics and diversity, especially with how things ended up with Phoebe and Bea.
This is truly one of those books that I really think could have helped me as a teen, and I am so glad I got to read it!
I had such an amazing time reading this book. I think this was the perfect book to pick up while I was dealing with my own bit of ongoing pain. The two mc’s were so relatable and fun. There were many moments where I was cheering for them and laughing out loud. This book also had sapphic, Jewish, and chronic pain representation.
Definitely check out this book if you like time loop books because this is such a fun one!!
TIME LOOP TIME LOOP TIME LOOP SO CUTE SO CUTE SO CUTE
I was so mad when I was parted from this book when I had to go to work. I just wanted to follow these two forever! What a fun, romantic, and relatable book. I love time loop romances and this one is definitely at the top of my list now.
A compelling time loop romance with incredible characters.
Phoebe has relived August 6th over and over - literally. She's stuck in a time loop doing the same things over and over until Jess taps Phoebe with their car and now Jess is aware of the time loop too. Together, the two get up to shenanigans and fall in love along the way.
I have so many feelings about this book! This book tackles hard topics like disability, fatphobia, generational trauma, friendship, and families that aren't perfect. I loved Phoebe's development and the way her relationship with Jess evolved. I kept wanting to know what was going to happen next. I can't wait to see what the author does next.
Thank you to NetGalley and publisher for the opportunity to read and review.
A delightful YA romance! I loved how developed Phoebe and Jess felt as characters and their chemistry was spot on right from the start. I also really enjoyed their approach to spending their time stuck in the loop!
While I really enjoyed how the time loop was written, especially after Phoebe got out, the other elements kinda fell flat for me. I did enjoy the read but I just wasn’t blown away. I wish more time was spent learning about the time loop rather that being thrown into it because I think it would have been more interesting. We also don’t get much closure with things that happen during the loop which makes it seem unfinished. I did really like how the disabilities worked/were affected in the loop. Even with the little things I didn’t like it was still a cute book :).
If you are looking for the next great YA time loop romance, I am happy to tell you that this is it! Phoebe has lived through almost 30 August 6ths, and is losing hope of ever reaching August 7th when her former childhood best friend Jess (they/them) suddenly ends up inside the loop with her. Together they explore the world around them, knowing that everything will reset the next day. They rekindle their friendship and it slowly grows into so much more. Phoebe suffers from chronic and debilitating IBS while Jess has an arthritic condition that requires them to use a cane or a walker depending on the situation. Their adventures in the loop are a lot of fun and their romance is super sweet. The book has a satisfying resolution at the end. I was impressed with both the disability representation and the Jewish representation. Highly recommended for grades 8 & up.
thanks to NetGalley for the eARC

summary: two queer disabled Jewish lesbians get stuck in a time loop and have to find their way out and fall in love and have Character Growth!!
thoughts: cute! good romance means the characters have to want and need something other than each other to grow!! and this has that!!!! it’s a little cheesy, but that’s okay! we need cheesy happy endings for ppl that don’t always get to see those for themselves elsewhere, and I think this was very well-executed.
Phoebe Mendel has been trapped in the same day for a month. As if reliving the same boring, over-hot August Florida day wasn't bad enough, it always ends with the worst IBS flare imaginable. That is until Phoebe's former friend and crush Jess crashes into her with their car - and then starts crashing Phoebe's time loop. Now that they're both stuck on August 6th, Jess is determined to ensure Phoebe has a good time. But the more time they spend together, the harder Phoebe starts to fall for Jess all over again - and the more she longs for a future that might never come.
As someone with a chronic illness/invisible disability, I'm always on the lookout for this particular kind of representation. Time and Time Again did not disappoint. Phoebe's voice was authentic, her experiences a mirror of my own, and Jess was a worthy love interest. Will be highly recommending this title to my school partners.
Thank you so much to Bloomsbury for sending me an early copy of this book! All opinions are my own!
How does one even begin to express their love for such a cute and simultaneously deep and soul-revealing book? I feel like it showed a part of me that the world hasn't seen as a chronically ill plus sized person, and I can't explain the ways I loved seeing my heart on page as these two amazing characters.
Obviously the disability and chronic illness representation was particularly special to me, but there was so much more as well. From Jewish representation to nonbinary and lesbian rep, this book is such a beautiful blend of diversity and never once shies away from it. It takes you into every part of these topics, even the internalized ones, and leaves you learning along with the characters about their (and your) places in the world.
The romance is so cute I can't even begin to describe how it kept me kicking my feet and giggling. I loved the slight enemies to lovers feel and the way that this is woven into the story even toward the end with the reveal as to why their friendship ended in the first place. They are so perfect together but also because neither of them are perfect, it feels so real and vulnerable. Then there are the platonic relationships that are so beautiful as well. The way that friendship is described and navigated was wonderful to watch grow and develop.
This book is such a beautiful blend of humor, depth, and vulnerability. If you are looking for a summer read, pick this one up the moment it hits shelves. You will not want to miss this!
I loved this book from start to finish. There's so much I loved about it, I'm not even sure where to begin. First, I loved that we started well into the loop rather than watching the main character discover that she's in the loop. That combined with the addition of a second person into the loop made this take on the time loop trope feel fresh and different. I really loved both main characters. They were unique but relatable. I enjoyed the fact that they both had a disability/chronic illness but were at different stages of acceptance and willingness to discuss it. Phoebe's growth on this topic felt very realistic and genuine. Similarly, the progression of their romantic relationship felt very natural, and their dynamic was very sweet. I was rooting for them the whole time. When they finally broke free of the loop, I was worried about how everything would be resolved, but I was happy and satisfied with the resolution. Truly a hit for me from start to finish. Easily a five star read.

"Time and Time Again" is a wonderful read that will appeal to fans of young adult romance. Chatham Greenfield has woven a story that is both heartwarming and thought-provoking, making it a standout in the genre. I'm thank you write a books that is so inclusive.
Thank you to NetGalley, Chatham Greenfield and Bloomsbury USA Children's Books for allowing me the pleasure of reading this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I’m a sucker for a time loop romance—Palm Springs is one of my favorite romcoms, and See You Yesterday was one of my favorites the year it released. (Oddly, I haven’t watched Groundhog Day.) So it should come as no surprise that I adored Time and Time Again. Not only did it feature some classic time loop story sequences (trying to stay up to see what happens, breaking laws, maxing out credit cards), it also had a really poignant storyline about coming of age and learning how to be confident as a young adult. Excellent writing, adorable romance, just an incredible debut.
A ground hog day with a fat mc and a non bianary character! I’m in love.
Swoon!!!! Phoebes had a month worth of living the same exact day. But when she gets hit by a former friends car they end up stuck in the time loop together.
They decide to just go for it and have fun and try new things while they have. no consequences and along the way phoebe falls in love! But what happens if they break the time loop and go back to normal!
I absolutely loved this and was drawn in from the start. The characters are so funny and entertaining. I was worried living the same day again and again would make the book feel repetitive and too similar to other books that do the same. But this was refreshing and fun from the start.
This book took a common trope--a daily time loop, a la Groundhog Day--and brought so much new life and interest to it.
The main character, Phoebe, is so believable as a rule following teen who tries to study her way out of the loop (ha, this is exactly how I would have tried too). She also has the extra element of chronic illness/pain to cope with, and as someone who also has chronic pain, the thought of a lifetime of pain is bad enough--I certainly don't want to keep living one day of it over and over! I related to these aspects of her so much.
The love interest, Jess, is a perfect foil for Phoebe, and it was so fun to watch Jess nudge and push Phoebe into some shenanigans. Meanwhile Jess is up to something themself, and their history with Phoebe is intriguing ... all these elements add up to a page turner.
a fun book that I read in calc today. Also Gasped out loud at one part but everyone ditched so no one was near enough to hear. Very cutesy and made me consider what i would do in a time loop
