Christina Lauren is one of my duos! These two pump out some of the best romance novels and I can't wait to read what they write next!
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.

I was excited to dive into Christina Laurenโs latest novel, with a lush tropical setting and a grumpy-sunshine couple.
Anna starts out not overly likeable - she starts out quite immature and doesnโt seem to care much about others, which I found a bit grating. Liam (also known as West) seemed so much more mature that I wasnโt sure how they were going to fit (but they do!). I loved the nods to Pretty Woman, including a best friend named Vivian and a business arrangement (that puts a twist on the fake dating trope by having the characters still be married from college). Christina Laurenโs writing is sharp and vivid; the island truly does sound like paradise. The humour comes alive in how Anna teases Westโs family with funny innuendos and when she tries to not look at West naked in the shower, which had me laughing out loud. The chemistry between Anna and Liam builds well; this is partly due to the stellar voice performances on audiobook of Patti Murin and Jon Root. Liamโs father was the perfect rich-asshole antagonist, and I adored Liamโs siblings, Jake and Charlie. I wouldโve loved more of them, especially interacting with both Anna and Liam. I didnโt love when Anna would use the phrase โgod damnโ to describe Liamโs penisโฆ it felt cringey rather than cute.
The Paradise Problem is a story of familial relationships, allies, money, leverage, and love. Itโs another solid book from Christina Lauren, and I hope we havenโt seen the last of these characters - Jake needs his happy ending too! Thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada and NetGalley for the ARC!
I really really enjoyed this one. It was a perfect summer read; I felt like I was right there with them on a beautiful private island. I loved the main characters, I loved Annaโs humour, I loveddddd the family drama. A little too spicy for my tastes, but I think a lot of people are going to love the open door scenes!
Christina Lauren books can be hit and miss for me, but I really loved The Paradise Problem!
The banter in this book was top notch, and I laughed out loud at the Twilight joke (IYKYK!). Even though a lot of Liam's family is terrible, they make a great supporting cast. I even would have liked some more interaction with them. They really highlighted the differences between Anna and Liam. I also want to know more about Liam's mom, and what her relationship with Blaire is really like.
If you're looking for a great rom-com I highly recommend checking this one out.
Really loved this book, it was my first Christina Lauren book but it did not dissapoint. It was everything and more I hoped it would be!
Another amazing read from Christina Lauren! I absolutely loved the witty humour and silly characters but at times got frustrated with the characters.
This book was an unexpected surprise but in the loveliest way! It has the usual Christina Lauren charm and hilarity and honestly was the PERFECT beach read for mid-summer. It delivered exactly what it needed to and I loved it.
The Paradise Problem was exactly what I was in the mood for. Filled with their witty banter, memorable characters, and their ability to make their readers fall in love right alongside their characters, once again, Christina Lauren delivered a book that was just so much fun to escape with.
It was impossible not to adore Anna Green. She was quirky, delightful, down to earth, and I wanted to be her best friend. She was down on her luck and money was tight, so when she got an offer that she just couldn't refuse, she went for it. All she had to do was be whisked away to a tropical oasis and make her rich husbandโs family believe that she was happily married to him, and in turn she would walk away with a nice sum of money. Since she was already married to Liam Weston, it shouldnโt have been too difficult to take up the charade that they had started almost five years ago, all in the name of convenience. After not seeing him for a couple of years, though, it was a spur of the moment agreement that had the potential to be pretty risky. Putting up with the majority of the Weston clan, however, would prove to be a daunting chore.
Anna and Liam were opposites, but this made their interactions so good. They each had an act to put on, but their attraction for each other made this ruse a bit easier to portray. Since they also had to share living quarters for a couple of weeks, this just made their chemistry even more intense.
There was just so much to like about this book. I was easily swept up in the charactersโ lives, pulled into the story, and entertained from beginning to end. There was plenty of romance, an abundance of steamy moments, and a story that made you root for the couple right from the get-go. A book from this writing duo has never steered me wrong, and I am already looking forward to reading their next novel.

Another great read from Christina Lauren. The Paradise Problem follows Anna Green and her fake marriage with Liam โWestL Weston as he tries faking his way to his inheritance. Anna, however, has difficulty fitting in and family members start to question their marriage.
Great read. Funny, witty, and good story line! Recommended for all who love a good romance story.
* I received an advanced readerโs copy of this book from NetGalley and Simon & Schuster Canada | Gallery Books in exchange for my honest review
I started off really enjoying the book! I loved Annaโs sense of humour and enjoyed reading Liamโs back story. Anna was presented as being very quirky, creative, and fun. Liamโs character is pretty constant throughout the book, and much of his story is centred around his family dynamics and, of course, his predicament regarding his inheritance money.
While the book was a lot of fun, it started losing some of its charm somewhere in the middle, and I didnโt find myself wanting to pick it up as much. Iโm unsure why that is, but I suspect I might have an idea. Anna had to act as Liamโs wife, and her personality changed to fit that role. But, with that change, I missed seeing her quirky side emerge as it became more dilute. The last 1/3 of the book was much better for me, though not quite as engaging as the first third, and I thought it wrapped up very well.
Who do I recommend this novel to? There is also quite a bit of spice! I typically enjoy less spice in my romance novels, so readers who enjoy medium+ spice levels would likely enjoy this. Tropes that may entice you are fake dating, paradise escape, one bed, and a wedding set on a private island. Fans of Christina Lauren will adore this book. You most likely will enjoy this if youโve enjoyed The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren.

Thank you to NetGalley and Gallery Books for this ARC! All opinions are my own.
This was my first Christina Lauren book, and it definitely lived up to the hype! The Paradise Problem is your classic fake relationship/marriage of convenience trope where a somewhat ditsy artist doesn't realize she agreed to marry her college roommate, so she is quite shocked when 5 years later he is back and asking that she help him with one last thing before they get divorced. The book is equal parts funny and sexy with just enough wealth and extravagance on a beautiful tropical resort that readers can virtually get transported straight to the beach while reading. It is a quick read and generally pretty light hearted. It is a bit of a slow burn, but once things get heated there is definitely some spice. If you dig a little too far into it, things are a little unrealistic and there may be a plot hole or two, but this is definitely more of a relaxing beach read than a carefully-crafted plot-twisting tale. The characters are cute and well developed and their romantic connection is a good one. Definitely a book I'd recommend for romance fans. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read and review this one. It is out now so grab your copy!
Iโve been a fan of Christina Lauren for quite some time now, and am always excited for any of their new works. Recently though I have not found myself enjoying these books, as much as have previously.
In Paradise Problem we follow Anna Green, starving artist, and West who is estranged from his family by choice. West has found a loophole to receive his inheritance - and that is through Anna, whom he married back in college so that they all could get cheaper residence while going to school. Anna thought they got a divorce, West knows theyโre still married. Now West is being force to attend his sisters destination wedding, and to bring his wife that no one has ever met.
West confronts Anna with the situation, and Anna ends up agreeing to play pretend. Now these two head off to the wedding, and have to do their best convince everyone else that theyโve been happily married together for the last few years. All they know is that no one can know the truth other wise everything is about to go up in flames. All the while, Anna and West really get to know each other - and just maybe this whole marriage situation isnโt a fraud.
This book was a SLOW BURN, the tension that is built between Anna and West had me grasping for more. I really wanted to see Anna and West fully in relationship mode, but we only get a glimpse of that before our 3rd act break up. The book did take me a while to get into, I found the beginning to be quite slow, but once the tension between Anna and West really started to build, and the drama between West and his family were in play I just didnโt want to put the book down until I finished.
I wouldโve like to see more of their relationship developed after all that had gone down with the two of them and West and his family. The ending felt a little rushed, so many things happening in only a few chapters.
Overall I did enjoy the book as a whole, but it doesnโt fall in my top favourite books by Christina Lauren.
Thank you to NetGalley, Simon & Schuster Canada, and Gallery Books for an eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Christina Lauren is hands down one the best duo authors out there, I've loved every single book of theirs that I've read. My favorite so far has been The Unhoneymooners, so I was soo excited for The Paradise Problem since it was giving similar vibes! I loved the concept of two people getting fake married, hardly knowing each other throughout their time living together, then a few years later they are thrust together again. I died laughing when Liam showed up at Anna's door asking for help and she couldn't place him and then even when she did she didn't remember his name! Their banter was excellent, exactly what you expect from Christina Lauren, and while it was a slow burn, there was a touch of spice. You really loved to hate Liam's family, but the ending was honestly perfect. This is for sure going to be my go to beach read recommendation this summer!
I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are mine.
Christina Lauren does no wrong! This was the funniest ,heartwarming and of course I laughed out loud so much. It is every girls dream to marry an heir who wants to marry for love right!? Well I think the Paradise problem will convince you otherwise. The book follows Anna who is a starving artist and Liam a professor who were married at one time and separted because of their indifference. However Liam's family want to meet his wife and he has to ask his 'ex-wife' for help. It's a good fake dating ,second chance romance and I want everyone to read it.
This book drew me in from the get go. I loved Anna's free Spirit and Liam's practical nature. The were the epitome of opposites attract.
The descriptions of the opulence that surrounded the wedding was a bit hard to read, given the current world circumstances, but the fact that from the get go both main characters were visibly uncomfortable from it helped.
Overall, I loved the story and the premise, this is definitely another win from the authors.
I wouldn't be mad if I had to fake marry a hot, rich, nice professor who promises an exclusive remote island vacation and a credit card with no limit. Safe to say Anna is not mad either. Christina Lauren does it again. This was a fun quick paced beach read with a bit of spice and a lot of sweet. While it is not my favorite Christina Lauren book, I really did like it. There was an interesting family dynamic and I enjoyed watching Anna and Liam fall in love. What I liked almost as much, was Anna inserting herself into Liam's family. I loved the relationship that formed between the niece and nephews. I liked Anna befriending the drunk inappropriate sister-in-law and turning the siblings on their heads.
Overall a good quick read. Not perfect, but really good none the less.
Thank you NetGalley and Simon&Schuster for the Arc.

What to expect:
โข Marriage of convenience โ fake relationship
โข One bed
โข Tropical summer vibes
โข Private island in Indonesia setting
โข Opposites attract
โข Wealthy hero
The setting of this book was amazinggggg, I could read about this private island in Indonesia all day! And this book had so many funny moments, especially at the beginning.
I loved the characters (particularly West โ we love a hero who has gone to therapy!) and I thought this take on the marriage of convenience trope was really fresh.
The family dynamics were so well done, and the drama was great intrigue, there were times when I couldnโt put this book down. And the ending was very satisfying!
Not to mention that the cover is also gorgeous!
Thank you to Simon & Schuster Canada and NetGalley and for this ARC
Love love love this one! Last few new releases from Christina Lauren didn't hit for me but this one was great! Was a little slow in the middle but picked back up. I also just fell in love with Anna. She's so creative and brash and flirty and just knows who she is in the world. Ugh L-O-V-E. I'd definitely read more of Anna if given the chance.
This book grabbed you from the first page and you couldn't put it down until you finished it. What an amazing story and the good news is that the good guys win!!! The characters were well developed and you felt both their joy and their pain. I highly recommend this book be added to your summer reading pile. You will not be disappointed.
what an incredibly far fetched premise that was actually kinda very amusing and entertaining. loved this so much despite picturing ray weston as galen weston the entire time and thinking they were the owners of loblaws (all of this??? for loblaws?????)
anyway thank you to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review
