Tom is a member of the second group and he really is one horrific person. No worries, you would think, because there are always the authorities to put a stop to his disgusting actions. But as the saying goes 'it's not what you know, but who you know', Tom most certainly uses this to his advantage.
His anger is focused on his wife, Catherine. Will she be able to escape his wrath or will she be the pin cushion he pins all the blame on?
This book gave me the vibes of Hitchcock films. I think you should give it a go.
It's suspense is best.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advance copy.
You know the type: charming man, pillars of the community and doing lots and lots for charity. Everybody loves them because they must be saints, right? I don't doubt some of them truly are saints, but then there are a few who have that very dark side they only show behind closed doors.

A book filled with actions I saw as being a possible trap, but proving there still are people who put others first. Great read. 5 stars
Thank you
A real fast paced read. I found myself angry on Catherine's behalf and willing her on all the way. Tom can only be described as a disgusting human being, the type you never want to meet.
A thrilling ride of a read.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.
The Anniversary by Cole Baxter is a fast-paced read that had me speeding through the pages.
Tom and Catherine are celebrating their fifth anniversary with a lavish dinner out. But a car crash on the way home from the restaurant will shatter not only the celebratory evening, but a five year marriage. Catherine comes to in the hospital asking for Tom, but is shocked to learn that someone has died, and she was the one behind the wheel. But that can't be. Tom was definitely driving, so why is he also accusing her of being responsible for the accident? Just who is this man whom Catherine has loved and thought she knew so well through five loving years of marriage?
This was twisty, thrilling ride, and I was caught up in the momentum from beginning to end.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC.
Ah Tom, Tom Tom! We all know one like him we've all dated this kind of utter creep and so this book was just impossible for me not eb caught up in! I was rooting for her every step of the way and really did feel the betrayal she went through. It's a quick read but I loved every second. Some good twists and turns and really good pacing with something new constantly coming to light
This is a gripping wild ride of a read! It pulls you in from the first page and I read it in a few hours! Great read!
I love Cole Baxter. His books make me turn pages late into the night. This book is like being on a roller coaster. Up and down. In every marriage you never know what goes on behind closed doors.
