Three’s Company in this romance between former College Sweethearts. This second-chance, forced proximity romance, shows that sometimes you have to take a leap to change your life.

It's hard to have a unique premise in a second chance romance, but this one did. Rose and Tom have been divorced for many years when a hurricane upends their lives. Told from both POVs, we see Tom and his friends try and help Rose save the family inn.

I had a hard time connecting with Rose so in turn I had a hard time rooting for them as a couple, but friendship and strength of it really propelled me to keep reading. That rag tag group of friends was a fun addition to the romance. And Tom willing to do anything for Rose stole my heart.

While this isn't one of my favorite romances of the summer, I did enjoy the read.

This book is a bit of puzzlement for me when it comes to giving it a rating. There are moments that sparkle, and the angle it take on 2nd chance romance and on modern social media's influence on everyone, whether they like it or not is wonderful. While the main characters are relatively robust, some of the 2ndary ones leave me with questions. Why is all of Rose's family so against her restoring the old house her aunt has asked her to manage? How can the lead man be so attracted to another one who seems to be dumb as a box of rocks?
That said, the story of the rehab of the property, the shifting relationship between the two main characters, and the actual effect that secondary characters have on the outcome of the story are delightful. If you're looking for a lively romance and not too invested in background details, this is a winner.

A second chance romance, a b&b and a hurricane makes for a fun story! Not to mention a fun cast of characters made this so enjoyable!

This was an ADORABLE read and will most definitely going on my list of favorite rom-coms of 2024! Katie Shepard has done it again!

I loved the chemistry between Rosie and Tom, and I enjoyed that this book put a spin on the trope of having a second chance romance...but this time it’s between two exes who are divorced. That seems to be a rare occurrence in the romance books that I have read, so it was quite refreshing to me.

This book reminded me of a Hallmark movie and I ate up every second of this charming romance.

The audiobook is narrated by Savannah Peachwood and I love how she brought the character’s voices to life. She is a wonderful narrator with a soothing, sweet voice like honey!

If you are looking for a “second chance” romance to curl up with this fall, I definitely recommend this book!

This was my first Katie Shepard book, but it won’t be my last! While its slower pace made it harder to get into, the found-family aspect was strong, I loved how Tom and Boyd made Rosie’s dreams come true, and Tom’s commitment to both Rose and her aunt warmed my heart.

I didn’t realize this book was part of a series until after I finished it, but knowing that, I’m eager to go back and read Katie’s earlier books! I feel like her writing has potential, and I’m curious to see what the other books are like. Rose is a sweet, spunky character and the motley crew that rallied around her yo babe her bird-inspired inn a success made me smile 😍

I found myself having a really hard time getting into this one for whatever reason. I really liked the story line but I just was never fully hooked on it and kept getting distracted.

This was a no for me. Would others like it? Yes.

I didn't feel like the two main characters went together well.

The story itself was slow and hard for me to get into. The idea of it sounded amazing though. I love old houses and it's even better when it's a family home they fix up.

This could have been my mood at the time of reading, but I just couldn't connect with anyone in this.

Im going to be honest with you, I don't know what has gotten into me but I have been binge reading romcoms lately.

I don't have a preferred trope as Im not too well versed in the romcom lingo just yet but I can tell you that I am LOVING this genre and this book might have just slid right into my top five !!!

Second, I fell in love over and over again with Rose and Tom.

Everything.

I loved everything.

I enjoy stories where there is reconciliation and that was my favorite part of No One Does It Like You. There were parts that made me laugh, parts that were interesting and parts that made me think. It was a bit crass for my taste. I did like Rosie and how she was determined and gained confidence in herself.

I love a second-chance romance so this one is an automatic love for me! This was a super easy read with the writing and story being super great to follow. The characters had amazing depth. They are imperfect people who really care about others.

This was a great take on a second chance romance. I enjoyed the reconnection journey of Rose and Tom especially with of the remodeling shenanigan's that happened. I also like the addition of the former ex lover of Boyd and his influencer entourage with the hilarious names. This book had some fun banter and just gave gave this trope a unique spin!

I'm a huge fan of second chance romances and we rarely get to see a second chance book where divorced exes get back together, which is why I was very excited to read this one. The beginning was very enjoyable and I liked Tom & Rosie but these characters were supposed to be in their thirties so I was expecting them to be a lot more mature but both of them were still somewhat childish tbh. Still, I liked the chemistry between Rosie & Tom and the way he was always so straight forward about his point of getting back together was nice because there was so much miscommunication between them in the past, so it was refreshing to see that Tom was really trying. Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and some instance made me laugh but some side characters except Adrian & Ximena were so annoying.
This had its cute moments, but I found I had trouble suspending belief in places. I still don't buy into the circumstances around Tom and Rosie's initial break up. It fell flat. I did like some of the quirky additions, though. Like the walls being infested with bees, Boyd careening on the roof in the middle of a thunderstorm, and the fandom girlies showing up on the B&B property. A decent pick for those looking for something light and carefree to close out the summer.

Though the premise for this one sounded cute, I have picked the book up several times, and even tried the audio; but each time I quickly lose interest. Second chance romance is one of my favorite tropes, but this one lacked the bittersweet history that would have had me longing for this Rose and Tom to get back together. I felt there was no chemistry between Rose and Tom, and I especially didn’t care for the immature Tom. He didn’t seem like the strong, yet vulnerable male main character that I usually like. This was a DNF for me. I will not be sharing my review, and I do apologize for this. I just can’t recommend it.

I enjoyed No One Does It Like You even though it wasn't too realistic. The main characters Rosie and Tom were likeable. They are speaking the first time in 10 years. Tom reached out to her when he thought he might die. Rosie returned his call to see if he would help her when no one else would. They aren't perfect people but they do care about others.

Tom and Rosie were married 10 years ago and he never really wanted to divorce. He just didn't understand what Rosie wanted or needed. Now he is determined to have the women he has always loved back in his life.

Rosie is trying to help her elderly aunt, Max, repair the inn after the hurricane. The Inn has been the place where the family always gathered for holidays and events. Rosie had her wedding there. Unfortunately, other than Max, Rosie's family are crap. They just want to sell and aren't interested in helping Rosie or Max or having family events.

Tom is going to take it on and no matter what, show Rosie he will be there and be what she needs. Things are a huge mess, really a disaster. Rosie with her allergies and asthma can't really do the work and Tom isn't really experienced in construction. Her family won't help with anything. I was especially appalled by the cousin who managed the property ( and is paid to do it) hadn't done a thing even to remove foodstuffs there after the hurricane and just left them to rot. I wouldn't be letting them manage the property in the future.

Tom, wants help from a female actor who is good with design, and reluctantly lets other people from his upcoming Broadway play, come and help. They care about Tom and if he cares about Rosie they will help. Boyd is a quite well-known star and he brings "groupies" who are surprisingly helpful, along with others who want his star to shine on them.

Even after things are renovated, her family wants Max to sell to pay for her care. They expect Rosie to figure it out, Max's care and finances, and sell the inn so they don't have to do anything. Tom and Rosie have different ideas and I loved them.

This was not a very memorable read. I just finished it a couple days ago and I already barely remember it and I felt the same way about it while I was reading it - I'm not going to remember any of this. The characters were kinda bland and the storyline was too. Even though it's a second chance romance, I didn't really feel anything for the characters until maybe the very end? It was just easy reading but not very fun.

Second chance romance is a favorite! Throw in an acts of service mmc trying to fight his past wrongs, delicious forced proximity, and a dreamy setting? I was hooked!

I do think this book was cute. There was dry humor and shenanigans, but I feel like I failed to connect to the characters. I also feel like there was miscommunication abound. Miscommunication works in some novels, which I accept, but in a second chance romance I find it really hard to accept. If the couple still can’t communicate the second time around, it makes it really hard for me to cheer them on and believe in their HEA.

I love second chance romances. I seriously think it’s my favorite trope. Add home renovations and it’s the perfect book for me. Unfortunately. This one didn’t work for Me. I DNF around the 30% mark., I think the main problem was I couldn’t connect to the characters
