The Apple in the Orchard by Brian Dedora is a fascinating piece of literature. It was necessary for me to start over and ground my reading with "The Beloved Buyer" prose as I was able to then place the author in space and time before the next verbal sketch
The premise is a traveller stopping into a diner, the prose is his journey back into his memory and reflection. It is ordered as if the subject was conducting a self analysis while creating a personal narrative and questioning its validity and truth at the same time
I have never read literature in this form of prose before and as such it was challenging. A tale ideal for both reading and spoken word
Absolutely fascinating read and definietly a book to worth taking your time to get your head around
Thank you to Netgalley, Guernica Editions and the author Brian Dedora for this fascinating ARC. My review is left voluntarily and all opinions are my own
