While I didn't enjoy this one as much as I did the first one in the series. I did like that it continued the series arc and the friendship amidst war of Mellie, Georgie and Kay. I loved the friendships. It was just the relationship between Hutch and Georgie that kind of fell flat for me.

I have enjoyed reading many of Sarah Sundin's books, since it is clear that she does her research into the time period! This story was no different. I loved the characters and the story line.
