Usually, I'm not one to pick up this kind of book, but when it comes to logic puzzles, count me in! So, when I spotted this gem, I couldn't resist the urge to grab a copy and dive into it with a steaming cup of joe on a lazy weekend morning. These puzzles? They're not your run-of-the-mill brain teasers. Nope, they've got everything from quirky images to intriguing receipts and even letters to decipher. It's like stepping into a whole new puzzle universe!
Now, don't get me wrong, I had a blast working my way through them, but here's the kicker—it was over too soon! Yep, just a dozen puzzles, and poof! You're done. So, if you're anything like me, you might find yourself wishing there were more to sink your teeth into. But hey, while they lasted, they were an absolute riot! And here's a thought—why not rope in a buddy or two for some tag-team puzzle-solving action? Trust me, it's a hoot!
Bottom line? If you're on the lookout for a fresh twist on puzzles that'll keep you entertained, this collection is where it's at. So, what are you waiting for? Dive in and let the puzzling adventures begin!

My husband and I are obsessed with puzzle books! This one was more difficult for me and it made it a great challenge. Would recommend if you enjoyed the Murderle books.
I really love logic puzzles so I was excited to read through this! Some of them were a bit long to read for my preference, but overall really fun! They were a good amount of challenging too!

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
The Imposter Puzzle Book by Roland Hall offers a delightful array of twelve whodunit stories that promise to engage and challenge readers. My experience with this book was a mixed bag, as I managed to correctly solve eight out of the twelve mysteries. Despite the occasional misstep, diving into this type of puzzling literature was a fresh and enjoyable experience for me. The concept was novel, and each story provided a quick and entertaining read.
Admittedly, as I progressed through the book, I found myself losing a bit of interest, which might have contributed to my missing some crucial details towards the end. Initially expecting only five stories, the abundance of content might have stretched my attention span thinner than anticipated. However, I believe this is more a personal reflection than a critique of the book’s quality.
For those seeking a brain-teasing diversion to while away a mundane afternoon, I would wholeheartedly recommend The Imposter Puzzle Book. Its puzzles are engaging without being overly challenging, making it accessible to a wide audience. While I may not rush to tackle another puzzle book anytime soon, that’s more a reflection of my personal preferences than a fault of this particular book. Overall, The Imposter Puzzle Book offers an enjoyable escape into the world of mystery and deduction."
I received this DRC from NetGalley.
Fun concept. I liked that the evidence presented had variation to it. Some of the solutions were obvious, some weren't as much. I would've liked the solutions to be a bit more of a story as well, instead of just the quick answer, especially with the ones that didn't have as much evidence. But it was fun to try to figure out the solutions, knowing that all the clues were organized for you.
This is the type of book I would not normally buy or pay much attention to if I'm honest, but I LOVE logic puzzles and could not resist the thought of looking at these puzzles over coffee on the weekend. Unlike a traditional logic puzzle that's just a word problem, these puzzles include images, receipts, letters... they are much more immersive than the standard logic puzzle and they were a lot of fun to think about and find the answers.
My only complaint is that the book ended too quickly. There are only 12 puzzles to solve, so you'll get through this book quickly if you don't ration the puzzles, but they are great fun while you're working through them. They might even be fun to complete with someone else.
For those looking for a new type of puzzle, this collection will surely entertain you.

If you like reading long mystery novels then this is right up your alley!
I enjoyed solving the puzzles outlined in the book, it is a lot of reading though beware! I also found the stories behind the puzzles to be entertaining and engaging.
The author has written a good mix of varying levels of difficulty throughout the book. (don't be discouraged if you find the first one to be 'too' easy it does have much harder puzzles to solve)
I am giving it a 4.5 star, I found some of the puzzles to be a little 'simple' (in solution and story) at the start but as the book went on the stories were much more engaging!
A fun puzzle book where the reader has to try to spot lies in stories, interviews, etc. to figure out who the traitor is. I thought this was a fun spin on puzzles, but wish I had a paper version instead of a digital one. It would have been easier to make notes/flip back and forth to check inconsistencies!
I absolutely love this one as it is so different from everything that I have read so far. It is extremely well-done. The puzzles will get you thinking. I am definitely buying this when it is out.
I enjoyed this I loved the puzzle and trying to find the imposter.
I loved how it flowed and how different each puzzle was some more harder some easy it was so good.
What a good idea!
This was such a good book to try and figure out who the imposters were in each chapter!
Lots of fun. The explanation was clear, and the chapters had varying difficulties.
i am all in for fun puzzle books but i am even more in for creative puzzle books you can do with friends. i feel like this is that book. i almost feel like this is a board game as a book. can't just save it for one person, its more fun to figure this out with someone else. this sounds like an odd recommendation but i would love to do a puzzle book like this for a date night, where you can sit next to someone you like and figure it out together. so fun and would read something like this again!
This is a fun concept. The format is easy to read. I enjoy puzzles. Some were more challenging than others. As well some were more interesting of a topic. Helps give something for everyone.
I loved watching the television show the Traitors so I was excited to explore this puzzle book and see how to deduce who the imposter is.
I enjoyed the concept of this book, having to gather information and the clues given to try and figure out the imposter and i also liked that i was able to check whether i was right or wrong at the end 😂 This was out of my comfort genre but im glad i took a chance on it.
This is such a fun concept of a book! Very original and different to the classic riddles, and will take you longer to solve as well.
I absolutely loved that this was almost like a book version of those crime solving games that have been so popular! Often when you find puzzle books the description sounds like you’re going to be solving a crime in some way and then it ends up being something completely unrelated but this one truly does what the description implies. With full evidence to analyze before you make your decision, this will test your skills and get you thinking!
While I’m more of a fan of quick riddle scenarios, this one was interesting to try out! Patience and reading between the lines is key here. I still prefer quicker riddles, but would recommend for someone with more patience than I!
