Thank you NetGalley and Page & Vine for the ARC!
“Say you'll marry me. Say we belong together. Say yes because I'm asking you now.”
I knew this was going to be a 5-star read before I even started the book because nobody does billionaire romances like Shain Rose. I am utterly obsessed with the Hardy brothers.
I don’t know where to start with this review, maybe with the part where she decided to use all my favorite tropes in one single book.
Second-chance romance? Yes.
Brother’s best friend? Yes.
Forced proximity? Yes.
Overprotective hero? Also, yes.
Keelani and Dex hold a special place in my heart. Their love story was touching and beautiful, but as individuals, they were just as perfect. Dex is a protective, passionate, and hard-working man. He may be tough and fierce, but he is also loving and caring. Kee, on the other hand, is loyal to a fault and will do everything in her power to ensure the safety of her loved ones.
I genuinely enjoyed reading this book. I had read the previous two books from this series and loved them so much that I was worried this one would not live up to my expectations. However, I am glad to say that it was the complete opposite. This story was as beautiful as it was painful. I have always enjoyed second-chance romances because there is something extremely comforting about seeing two people who were victims of bad timing or circumstances, slowly finding their way back to each other.
Like I said at the beginning of my review, I CAN’T WAIT FOR DIMITRI’S BOOK!! I am absolutely feral for the Hardy brothers.
Unfortunately I didn't really love this and struggled to connect with the characters or the storyline.
Wow. I enjoyed this story so much. It’s nice to read a celebrity romance where the women is famous and not the man. Also Dex Hardy!?? Where can I find one of him? The two main characters were truly soulmates and their story was so lovely to ride out.
I was never bored and the plot had me gripped from the first chapter.
I didn’t realise this was a series when I read it so I can wait to go and read book one and two now.
Thank you Shain for this beautiful arc 💓
Dex and Kee came in like a wrecking ball. I thought that I loved Clara and Dominic the most but these two take the cake in this heartbreaking novel.
Dex desires control, and protects his emotions. While Kee has to do what was right by her career and contract all those years ago when they broke each others hearts. Now that Kee lands back in Dex’s life she is a totally different woman and neither truly knew what to expect.
In a world of trauma there is so much healing that is done in this book between the main characters which only made me love them more. Dex comes very close to that morally grey, dark romance vibe with how protective and utterly ruthless he is and the lengths he’d be willing to go if he had to.
Dex may protect his feelings but he did not waiver with Kee. He was all in. Period. Hard stop. He never stopped having feelings and it’s so evident in the novel as you read along as Shain sends us through a rollercoaster of a romance novel!
Thank you to Page and Vine and Shain Rose for the eARC!
I really wanted to enjoy this story, but it fell flat. The storyline was very weak - from the accident to the contract Keelani signed and continued to renew for 15 years! to the mistreatment Keelani endured at the hands of a major shareholder and executives within Trinity Enterprises to the stalker. The dialogue between Keelani and Dex was not very deep and often repetitive. It’s hard to believe that Keelani would have continued to renew her contract with her record label and endure years of mistreatment when she was best friends with Dimitri, who is one of the most powerful men in the world. It literally took less than 24 hours to resolve Keelani’s problems when Dimitri and his family got involved. Not a very realistic story. I was really hoping to like this third book in the Hardy Billionaires series. Too bad the story fell short.
Between Never and Forever took me by surprise and has become my favorite book of the entire series by far. I didn't expect another Hardy will top Dom until Dex. When Dex and Kee's history and romance were hinted in the second book, I was looking forward to reading their story.
The beginning of the book is full of angst and I really felt for Dex. I was hundred percent on his team. I couldn't fathom the pain he is in and how Kee was being ridiculous. I eventually understood where Kee is coming from. And, was able to connect to her character. Their chemistry was there which is what I often look for in a romance novel.
Their are a few time jumps in the book which I liked. It gave a clear context on what happened between the main characters rather than it being described in just a few paragraphs.
The appearances of the Hardys and Armanellis was something I was looking forward. I always enjoy any crumbs I get of the couples from previous books and series. The new characters were also enjoyable to read and I am looking forward to reading their own stories.
Between Never and Forever is book 3 in the Hardy Billionaires series by Shain Rose.
This story is so absolutely addictive!
I could not put this book down.! Shain creates such an amazing connection with her characters.
Dex and Kee's story is phenomenal. I cannot recommend this book enough!!!!
Thank You NetGalley and Victory Editing & Page & Vine for your generosity and gifting me a copy of this amazing eARC!
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
We have Dex and Kee who are the main characters, we start the book out with them having been together for a while in High school. They have been keeping things a secret though at the behest of Kee's record label. She announces she is moving to Nashville after graduation and breaks up with Dex, providing slim to no details.
I didn't enjoy Kee in the beginning and I think her POV could have been written better. I honestly felt bad for Dex in the beginning because she did treat him poorly. We fast foward to the future and find out that things aren't what we thought they were. At this point they are grown a** adults, and the miscommunication is OFF THE CHARTS. Dex was honestly just a dick, I didn't enjoy his character for the majority of the book. I felt bad for Kee once I figured things out but if she had literally just told him everything from the start nothing that happened would have had happened.
I wanted to like this book so badly but I just didn't really enjoy it. At some points I disliked both of the main characters and the plot honestly gave me so much anxiety.
This book was a cute read in the Hardy brother universe and it was fun to read about the Armenelli's again as well. However, I personally was not a fan of the constant dialogue between Kee and Dex and found it repetitive. The plot was fun and predictable for a romance book. I did not care for Kee's character either, which shows how well the author wrote her character to be a doormat and eventually "free".
Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for the opportunity to read and review this book. I received a copy of the ebook in exchange for my honest review
Loved it! Nice easy read and kept you wanting to read more. I highly suggest it, a nice mix of romance and new adult. Excited to read the rest of the series!
Thank you for the advance copy of this book! I was not familiar with the author or any previous work but the synopsis and cover grabbed my attention. Unfortunately this was a book I did not finish. I read at least 50% of it. In my opinion the main characters Keelani and Dex do not have a real connection, they just don’t seem to have chemistry. The agreement to be fake engaged and sex Keelani out of his system doesn’t make sense because outside of having sex one they don’t even be in the same space half the time. Keelani allowing her record label to control her life as a teenager was understandable but 12 years later? What type of deal could she have been it and it seemed unusual. Overall I didnt see the value in finishing. I also want to note this is apart of a series and I’m not sure if that helps the story line or make things better.
Best friend’s older brother who is also your high school sweetheart that you haven’t seen in almost 15 years…what could go wrong. I could not read this book fast enough! He’s secretly never gotten over his feelings for her and forces her to be engaged to him for PR reasons and so he can get over here but then it becomes a little too real for him.
This book had everything. The tension, the longing, the second change. Another great book by this great author.
ARC Review
Between Never and Forever by Shain Rose ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5
I did not think you could create a more feral and crazier man than my fav Cade. But no here comes Dex. He was down bad! It’s not what I expected from Dex and Kee but I loved them so so much. Dex’s need for control and to protect his emotions was so sad. He was so protective that it was nice to see someone stand up for Kee in the way he did.
Kee was heartbreaking. Putting herself in positions due to loyalty and it was so good to see her come into her character and stand up for herself, fight for herself.
The spice was spicy with some kink sprinkled in.
I love this book so so so much. Highly recommend reading. There are trigger warning on Shain’s website if needed. Thank you Shain for writing this and giving me the opportunity to read it before it released. This was such a breath of fresh air.
Thank you for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinions
A good read for the vibes and for adding another one of the Hardy brothers under my reading belt! The writing felt a little rushed and the storyline seemed all over but not bad for a good time read.
4 Stars. I received an arc of this book and this is my honest review. I didn't read the 2 before it but this can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the story. The family swooped in in full force to help save the day and I loved that! Will definitely be reading more by this author.

4.3/5✨
3.5/5🌶️
This was my first read from the author and I kinda have mixed feelings. I loved it, but it had some little parts which haven't pleased me🤷🏼♀️.
The story starts pretty abrupt, with young Keelani and Dex. They were in love but their relationship was forbidden because Kee had a to strictly respect her music contract - she had to date another fellow music peer for her success and to continue into this industry. But even this under the radar relationship couldn't happen after a tragic accident. Kee was forced to leave her town in order to protect her family - she had to keep her music contract.
After three years Keelani returns into Dex's life, but he was really different from the boy she left behind. He was very powerful after he had built a strog business with his family. She was still affected by this man and she didn't know what feelings Dex had for her now.
Dex had never forget her and with her return his feelings were stronger than ever and he was decided to protect Kee at any costs! So, he demanded to be part of her life and become her fake fiance, but he had other plans to keep her by his side forever. In order to succeed with this plan, Dex has to face with Keelani's music company and some creepy stalker, who threatened Kee.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and made me curious about the previous parts of this series 🤭. I'm definitely adding them to my TBR list 💙.
If you love these next tropes, then you should read this book 🤗:
✨Alpha hero;
✨First love;
✨Obsessed hero;
✨Possessive hero;
✨Bad boy/Good girl;
✨Protector;
✨Soul mate;
✨Secret romance;
✨ Forbidden love;
✨ Returning to hometown;
✨Marriage of convenience.
4.5 stars! Whew, this one had all the angst and all the spice! I absolutely loved this book, I read it so fast! I got totally sucked in by Dex and his totally possessive, obsessive need for Kee, despite their history full of trauma and tragedy. I had all the feels with this one and the spice was spicin'!!!🌶🌶🌶🥵😅
This was the third book in a series of standalones but the first one I read. I definitely plan to go back and read the first two because I loved this one so much!!
I loved the previous 2 books in this series and was strangely hesitant to start this arc as I knew I would never want it to end once I started.
Another adorable alphahole brother, Dex and Kee’s relationship has been mentioned in the previous books but never really expanded on so to see more of them and see it unfold in this story was satisfying.
I loved lots about this story, how there was so much love and history between them which made it so hard to navigate their way to a future, how they knew yet didn’t know each other and how loving Dex was to Kee, even reluctantly.
Overall I enjoyed the story and as expected I didn’t want it to end - and am eager for the next book.
However….this book did have some parts that left me feeling mildly unsatisfied, elements that were left hanging or just never explained.
- What happened to Dex in town after the incident, it had such a major effect yet was hinted yet never expanded on. How did Kee seemingly know nothing about this…if it was such a major thing how did she not know.
- Ethan…he fell off a cliff never to be seen again (not literally, don’t worry this isn’t a spoiler) but there were hints about him yet he wasn’t there for 90% of the book
- Dex and his proclivities…how did he end up being this person, needing to be so controlling in all (and I mean all 😉🔥) areas of his life.
Kee and Dimitri, their friendship was described as tight yet not really explained why or present in this book much at all.
I did feel there were a lot of things hinted at or started in this book that came to nothing or fizzled out which I did end the book wondering about, however my overall feel for this book was positive and I did enjoy it.
This review is gonna be a tough one for me. I liked this book in the beginning I really did up until the resort part then it was like fifty shades vibes with the ben wa balls and dex with his controlling ways. I got whiplash one minute he hated her the next he was all lovey dovey.. I loved the characters even Kee and I love fifty vibes normally but I just got really bored with it like ive read stuff like this before. I kept putting my kindle down and wandering about doing stuff and thats not like me. I would then go back to try again i would read a bit more and it just wasn't grabbing me at all. I finished it eventually as I hate not finishing a book and it was just okay for me as a personal preference. Some people may love this book but for me it was just okay.
3.5 stars
Thank you NetGalley and Shain Rose for the chance to read this book
I only have 4 words… I love you Dex.
That is it.
With no spoilers, there’s parts that make you sad, but in the end you love Dex.
