Make Indiana Jones female and you have this book. I think Pandian's writing is similar to Elizabeth Peters.

I finished it in two sittings. I love a good adventure story with more suspects than you could point a stick at - and this did not let me down. A bit slow in parts, the story finally picks ups speed in the last 10 chapters when all the pieces of the puzzle slowly come together.
Cannot wait to read the rest of the series.
