Getting more and more spicy!
Book 1 is my favorite so far, but cant wait to hear what is next!
Publisher's summary
She was taken from us…again. And now she’s in the hands of that sadistic psycho. But thanks to our bond, we have abilities that surpass even the strongest of our kind. We’ll get her back. And when we do, those who have hurt her will pay. Along with anyone else who gets in our way....
Blood and Wrath is a paranormal romance and the second installment in the Blood and Ruin trilogy. The FMC will not have to choose between her five love interests, but this action-packed story contains violence, adult themes, bad-language, and content that some listeners may find upsetting.
Thank to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for the ALC of Book 2!

Series: Blood and Ruin Series, Book 2

Loved this audiobook! You can see improvement and growth from book one ( I loved book one as well !) I liked the different point of views and character development. The spice was definitely there! If you love brooding males with powerful females, this book is for you!

After not enjoying the first one as much as I would have liked, I decided to give the second a shot. Because I truly don't think you can make decisions on just one book from an author. But I have to say, I really didn't enjoy this one much either - I think I am done with this series. I think there is a spark of an idea here, the execution just isn't. Heavy repetition is used, and it just isn't exciting. The MC's are all bland and their individual traumas are fairly generic feeling. The plot itself dragged, giving the 'middle book syndrome' vibes.
The redeeming qualities were the narrators. All of them were excellent and did the best they could with the material they were given.
Special thanks to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an ALC in exchange for an honest review. Blood & Wrath is available now.

I enjoyed the second book as much as I did the first! The characters were s interesting and I liked the action and romance. The narrator is very good, I like how they read

3.5 stars
The romance really amped up in this second installment and I am here for it! There's still angst between Kierra and the guys for various reasons, but they're seeing how capable she is as she comes into her abilities.
I do think the worldbuilding could be better and I struggle to keep track of who's who with the guys and what their supernatural capabilities are. To me, they aren't different enough and need more depth to really become their own people.
I love that the audiobook has narrators for each character! More of this please.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All opinions are my own. Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the copy.

I’m going to give it a 4 because I was totally invested the entire time and thoroughly enjoyed myself. I do hope that the plot is more fleshed out in the next because if definitely took a backseat to the spice but…..that’s not really a complaint because WHEW 🥵!
There was a moment early on where there was some microphone noise but it wasn’t distracting!

This is the second book in the Blood and Ruin series.
While not for the faint of heart, this installment largely revolves around a reverse harem trope, evoking penthouse forum vibes with our main characters.
The book provides a substantial amount of world-building alongside numerous inner monologues. However, the writing tends to be somewhat repetitive, with phrases like 'mine,' 'mate,' and 'delicious' appearing on nearly every page. Despite featuring shifters, witches, and paranormal romances, the narrative fell short for me. It seemed rushed, more focused on setting up future novellas or a spin-off. Additionally, the rapid introduction of new characters made the storyline slightly confusing.
Overall, while it may not have fully met my expectations, fans of the series will still find plenty to enjoy in this continuation.
This review is based on an ARC provided for free by NetGalley. I want to thank the publisher, author and NetGalley for allowing me to review this book. These are my honest and voluntary opinions.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.
I am glad we were able to learn more about Kiara’s powers in the book, but I still have a lot of questions about her power and what it can do. The multiple perspectives of all the guys and Kiarra was a great change from the first book and gave so many insights into the bond of all the mates. I did have difficulty with the first half when the guys were separate from Kiarra, but once they were reunited the story really picked up the pace and was so interesting. I am looking forward to the next book on this series.

God I’m loving this series! It’s so good. The multiple POVs this book is exactly what it needed from the beginning imo. Full cast audio! Love that. There’s increased spice in this book. The tempo is the same as book 1 story wise.
A why choose romance must.

I did not like this book very much. It was repetitive, the story was not interesting, so I found myself disengaging quite often while the audio was playing and honestly, most of the times I didn't find the will to go back and relisten. The characters where not likable, just bland and generic.

I was so excited to find out what happened next and how the men rescued her but it ended up being really repetitive and too much like the first book which was pretty disappointing. I wanted so badly for there to just be more, but in the end it wasn't there.
It just felt very flat and generic.
I reviewed Blood and Wrath by Rumer Hale for # NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Thank you NetGalley for the audio arc! I enjoyed this book! The spice!!! I loved seeing the growth of the bond between the mates as well as the growth of powers in Kiarra! She is an absolute badass and I cannot wait to see her retaliate against King in the next one! He is in for a rude awakening and I am here for it! I loved getting to learn more about her background in this one! I will absolutely be reading the next one!

This is the second installment in the series and the plotline continued right where the book one had ended, it was smooth and easy just like the book one of the series. The alphas looking for their parted mate and simultaneously, the plot unfolds more and more. I had a great time reading this one too. The characters are wonderful and the narration is smooth. Eagerly waiting for the next part in the series now.

I am a horror reader.
These books came up as “horror” on NetGalley because of the demons and monsters and gore. But good golly Miss Molly, these WHITE HOT books are NOT horror.
I recently finished this second book in the series involving the supernatural being, Kiara, and her harem of five alpha shapeshifters. The first book is Blood and Ruin which introduced us to Kiara, trapped in an abusive relationship with her powerful crime kingpin stepfather, named, of all things, King. Kiara meets her childhood friends and realizes they are her “mates.” Her mates give her hope and a reason to escape.
In Blood and Wrath, Kiara finally consummates her relationships with her mates. Repeatedly. And with fervor. Then they learn their newfound peace is under attack by the Underworld.
Blood and Wrath is a fiery reverse harem tale of sex, magic and violence. It’s fun and fast-moving, explicit and over the top. I had a gotdam fiesta listening to this bawdy tale. It ends in another cliffhanger and I would listen to the next to see where this story goes.
Thank you @NetGalley and @Dreamscape_Media for sending this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

To be completely honest, this wasn’t written for me. I can appreciate a fantasy series with a “mate”, but multiple mates? No. Feels performative, like the only way the author could make the book special (because the plot definitely did not), was to have a bunch of horny mates. Felt like I was reading a fan fic written by a porn-obsessed teenager rather than a book written by an actual author who had a plan and plot.

Blood and Wrath is book two in a paranormal romance series by Rumer Hale. Thank you to NetGalley, Rumer Hale, and Dreamscape Media for providing me with an audio ARC in exchange for my fair and unbiased review!
What I loved:
- The narrators were absolutely wonderful!
- More insight into each of the guys' past
- More nuanced enemy development compared to book one
- The spice was spicing!
What I didn't love:
- The plot felt very flat to me, not a lot happened besides breaking her out and a lot of sex
- The guys' possessive alphahole behavior got old very fast
- The pacing didn't make sense to me
- Idk I feel like something was missing, like a plot twist or something
Overall, Blood and Wrath was entertaining, but I hope the plot picks up in book three! I am rating this title three out of five stars. You’ll love this if you enjoyed The Bonds that Tie!

This was actually a really good audiobook. They have 2 different speakers for the male/female parts and it flowed nicely. The story line was also much better for the second book as more of the world/relationships developed. However, I still feel a bit confused. This books still doesn’t ever go into how/why they love her so deeply and how the feelings developed. It was just like a mate bond and then done. And even that bond was never fully described. The plot is minimal and the focus is heavily on the reverse harem romance, the FMC just wants to get her hands on every single one like constantly. I actually do like this book series and I am really curious about the shadow powers/realm and the FMC power awakening, I just don’t love it. I would definitely read/listen to the next one.

I Really Liked The Story
“Don’t let yourself get lost in the dark, not when you still have a light waiting to guide you home.”
Thoughts:💡
This was good. I really liked the story even though I picked it up in the middle of the series. There was a bit of angst and loads of trauma but also a strong sense of perseverance in each of the characters. The FMC was really fierce and by the end of the story she was really starting to embrace her power and revel in her inner strength. The guys were completely “He Man - Alphaholes” but they worked well together as a team and created a family.
DreamScape did a decent job with the audio, it was fully casted with a line by line narration that was edited together really well. The narrators were okay. Tbh, I would have loved it, but the cadence they spoke with was frustrating. It was like their tone switched the slightest bit up at the end of their lines. It was just enough that it sounded like their speech had a sound curve. Some people might like it but I felt it detracted from the story and took away from the overall experience.

This book was giving The Bonds That Tie plus Shatter Me vibes and I was totally here for it!!
Without spoiling anything, I really loved the adventure in this book. Newly discovered powers, saving their girl, fighting off scary asf beasts (multiple times), astral projection type scenarios, and the depths of hell??? I need the next book ASAP!
We get a taste of the FMC opening up to her harem and some insight into some of the harem’s personal struggles. I can’t wait to see how these are continued to be explored in the next book. There are themes of self acceptance that were an emotional roller coaster.
Overall the narrators were amazing and a special thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

We pick up where we left off and our five (yes, five) Alphas are wildly searching for their captured mate. I liked the different individual stories and personalities of the guys and Kiarra’s magic was interesting as it developed.
The spice in the first half of the book was light but then it really picked up haha. It’s short and sucks you in to want to read the next one, though luckily it didn’t leave us on too much of a cliffhanger.
