I enjoyed reading this cute story about friendship, sharing, being kind, and working together as friends. I thought it taught great principles for little ones. The colorful illustrations were my favorite part of the book! I would buy it just for the illustrations!

An adorable book about selflessness and sharing. Even when you don't think you want to.
Loved the illustrations and the message behind the missing hat. This will definitely go into my list of books to buy for family and friends' kids.
I had a lot of fun reading this book. A big day has come to this daycare center, and all the dinos are excited about it. This changes when one notices their favorite hat is missing. They must wear it in the photo, and get everyone else to help find it. Once it is found, they have a tough decision to make. As this story comes to a close Freda has learned an important lesson.
Super adorable! I will definitely be buying this book for all the kids in my family. It reminded me of a dino book I used to read as a child.
This book was so cute! I loved the beautiful and colorful illustrations and the message was so important - all about selflessness and generosity and caring for others. It also celebrated creative problem-solving in a really fun way. Definitely a must for any classroom or children's library!
This was ADORABLE!!
The illustrations were absolutely magical and I loved them.
I loved that there were teachable moments throughout the story that I was able to chat with my son about AND connect it to how he should act in preschool.
Although the title says that it is picture day at Dino Play, that is merely the setup for a much bigger story. When Freda wears her special hat for picture day and then loses it, everyone works together to search for it. When the hat is finally located, she realizes that it can be even more special for the one who found it. This story uses bright colorful illustrations to provide gentle lessons in teamwork, generosity and improvisation to make a change of plans when needed.
It's picture day at Dino Day Care and Freda is wearing her favorite hat that her grandmother gave her. But after playing, her friends discover that Freda's hat is nowhere to be found...that is, until they look up in the trees. Could it be that someone else needs Freda's hat more than she does?
This book was an excellent celebration of selflessness and a reminder that sometimes our favorite things can become more beloved by giving them away. I really enjoyed the message that this story offered, as well as the beautiful graphics.

Picture day at Dino daycare and everyone is excited. Freda has her favorite hat and can’t wait. After playtime outside her hat goes missing and her friends set out to help her find it. When they discover it in an unexpected place Freda has to decide to get it or to let it go. A great story teaching little ones about friendship, thinking of others and finding new ways to solve things. We loved this fun little story. The cute dinosaur illustrations really make this a fun little story. Your family will love it. Enjoy the adventure together.
A heartwarming story about selflessness and caring for others. Quick to read and a really good choice for a child's library or a kindergarten teacher to have in their arsenal. Totally recommend it. There are other books in this series - I've checked - so you can stock on all of them, too, if you wish.

This has been such a fun read-along with my kids. They absolutely loved how beautiful the illustrations in the book are and I really loved the message the story brought for us to discuss about generosity and being kind to those in need. Definitely a great one for the family library!
Such a fun and rewarding read. Lots of beautiful colors or dinosaurs. The story focuses on this one class on 1 day. The teacher is the only adult/parent/guardian in the drawings. A good book to combine with the idea of donating or loaning or sharing with others. As well as good entry point to discussing how to correctly care for wild animals.
Very reminiscent of the Richard Scarry. Cute book on overcoming a bad situation and making the best out of it. With dinosaurs! Cute illustrations!!!
Cute but too tender for my heart... I understood the message behind the story and even though it was remarkable it left me disappointed. Maybe I'm a little to attached to material things but if they have a sentimental value there's no way I appreciate donate it to others. I mean, it'scute helping others but you can do it without giving away what it means so much to you.
Oh! what a truly delightful Pre-School & even early Primary School Book, plus a terrific Bedtime story book for grandparents to read to their grandchildren. It's a wonderful story about selfless acts regarding our precious favourite things that can sometimes become even more precious when passed on or given to someone else. The Illustrations are gorgeous and any young fan of Dinosaurs will adore them. This is a cute, fun little story about a dino named Freda. Freda brings her favorite hat for picture day, but then it gets lost! All the other kids help her look for it, and eventually they do find it... but Freda decides to leave it for now, as a bird is using it for a nest. In honor of this kind decision, all the kids use their craft time to make new hats, and so everyone has a hat in their pictures.
The story features friendship and cooperation. The colors are vivid. And if you have a kid who already loves dinos, you can't go wrong.
I LOVED all the various characters and dinosaurs in Picture Day at Dino Play and so did all my four grandchildren.
Such a brilliant idea for a book with lovely illustrations and a great story that all little ones can relate to and gave us some ideas for dressing up during the summer holidays and having our own Picture Day with all the various accessories required.
A subtle message about sharing, generosity, kindness and finding solutions makes this educational as well as fun. Brilliant.
