Picture Day at the Dino daycare and Freda loses her hat. Where could it be?
Everyone chips in to try and find it and they do. Who has it?
I loved the bright Dinos and all the illustrations. Cute book.

Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the copy of the ARC.

A sweet book! I loved the art style. A simple story, but that doesn't mean it's boring! I do think that the font is too small and a little too simple for such fun pictures. Some pages are a little wordy, which might mean younger readers would lose interest, but the story moves quick enough that I don't think that would be a real issue. Very cute!

The dinos are excited for their class picture. Freda brought a special hat that was her grandmother's. She doesn't want to play at first so she doesn't ruin it. Finally, she plays with her friends, and later discovers her hat is missing. They help search for it and discover it in an unusual place. Freda decides to leave the hat where it is. Their teacher surprises them with a special craft and everyone creates their own hats to wear in the picture.
Sweet story of treasuring items we love and knowing when to share them with someone else and keep the memory. I also appreciate the friends supporting each other, and the honest way the teacher answers questions throughout. The illustrations are fun to study and discover the many details included.

So cute. Just enough dialogue to keep things moving. I loved the problem solving in the plot and the creativity at the end. Very fun story.

A lovely, sweet story about sharing, being kind, and making do with what you have, especially when with friends. The ending is a sweet finish, though predictable. This book will likely be particularly interesting to kids who already like dinosaurs.

What a cute book! The story and illustrations were both really fun. This is the kind of book I love reading with my daughter because it combines illustrations I enjoy, creatures she loves, and a good message. She loves dinosaurs so I immediately knew this would be a hit. But aside from that, I loved the good representation of friendships, being helpful, being selfless, and having fun together.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for the eARC! Another fun book for dino lovers! This would be great to read to a young reader who is going to experience their first picture day either at school or daycare. This book also shows the dinosaurs working together to find their missing friend’s hat. The pictures are adorable and very colorful!

Freda and her class are having picture day. Freda is excited to wear her most favorite hat that her grandmother gave her. When her hat gets lost, the class helps her to find her hat. But, they discover that someone else may need the hat more than Freda. Will Freda be able to loan her hat to someone else? Such a cutely written story and illustrated book that kids who love dinosaurs will enjoy.

I received an eARC of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Thank you NorthSouth Books and Netgally for a digital ARC of "Picture Day at Dino Play" by Sean Julian. This book was really cute and would be great for any kids who love dinosaurs. It would be really great to read around when school picture day is as well since students would be able to relate to wearing their favorite things and hoping nothing will happen to them throughout the day. The pictures in the book are really nice and students will love all the details in them to help add to their understanding of what is happening in the story. Overall, a great story to add to a home or classroom library!

This was such a cute book! The illustrations were so cute and colorful. I would definitely increase the font size unless the book is going to be larger than the average board book, it was a little hard to read.

This book was so cute! It showed that sometimes things don't go the way we planned and wanted but good things can still come from it. It was perfectly short for little minds and the illustrations were adorable.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this arc in exchange for my honest review.

This is the most beautiful and heartwarming little book! I loved everything about it.

It’s picture day at Miss Beak’s play group.

Freda (my favorite kind of dinosaur :)) is wearing her favorite hat, it was a gift from her grandma.

In the morning they all play outside. Freda is reluctant to join the others at first but when she does, after some persuading, she has lots of fun!

At lunchtime someone notices her hat is missing!! Everyone helps searching for it and they find it somewhere very surprising..

What follows made me a little emotional. Freda is so sweet and selfless and her classmates are so kind and helpful.

I loved the ending and enjoyed reading this a lot! The use of color and the cuteness of the little dinos was so amazing. I highly recommend picking this one up.
