Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book in exchange for my review! All opinions are my own.
This was a cute story. While I wasn't super obsessed with dinosaurs when I was a little kid, I did watch DragonTales on PBS. In a sense, this book reminded me of that. I really liked the colors of the dinosaurs. Another thing I liked was that in this story, dinosaurs were not portrayed as scary. This is a good thing for little kids who might be afraid of dinosaurs. I think parents, teachers, and librarians should consider adding this book to their collection!

I really liked the message this story was sending about sharing, especially things you love! The artwork was beautiful, it was engaging to look at and something that could be a discussion point alongside the story, like pointing out different items etc. I also appreciated the font placement of the slide scene, again it just makes it more engaging for the reader!

The ending was super sweet, and it was a charming story. Would highly recommend!

Picture Day at Dino Play is such a cute story. It’s the perfect book to teach the young ones that sharing is caring. It’s the second book in the dino adventure series and it’s just as good as the first.

The illustrations continue to be colorful and adorable. And all of the characters just come alive on each page. I had fun reading it and it will be a great book for preschoolers and toddlers anytime — bedtime or story time. Five stars

I was invited to read a DRC from NorthSouth Books through NetGalley. The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.

The drawings are awesome, packed with cool details that grab your attention. And the way they've played around with the fonts and text placement is really fun. Like, when Freda goes down the slide, the text looks like it's sliding too—it's super clever! But it's not just about looking cool; there's a sweet message for kids about helping others and getting something back. It's all about doing good stuff and how it pays off in the end. It's a story that sticks with you, reminding you how being kind and helpful can make a big difference.

I adored this book. The illustrations are cute and adventurous. It's about a young dinosaur named Freda who loses her favorite hat. Her classmates and teacher offer to help her find it. As they were searching for her hat, she learned that working as a team can be helpful. Once her hat is found, she discovers her hat is being used for something good. She learns that sometimes our lost things can help others in need. Sometimes, we can become attached to our belongings and not realize how helpful it could be for someone else who doesn't have it. Kids can learn a valuable lesson from this story.

Love Always, Catherine

I liked the illustrations in this book. They were cute and colorful. I thought the story fell a little flat though.

Whoa! Dinosaurs on Picture Day! I imagine this book being great for classroom libraries and public libraries. There's many lessons on the practice of picture day, retracing our steps when we lose things, and how to turn around sad outcomes.

I've found that some of my favourite Children's books to read are about dinosaurs as the art style really suits them and this one was no exception, the story was perfect, about a dinosaur losing her hat right before picture day. There isn't much to say about it but I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for quick and easy children's fiction

I was sent this e-Arc on Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This book is TOO cute! Freda wears her favorite hat to photoday at daycare, but during playtime realizes it's not on her head anymore! after searching and searching for it, Freda sees that a bird has found a new way to use her hat, how will Freda respond?

This is an excellent book about going with the flow, being selfless to other people, and finding good outcomes. I loved how Freda used her loosing her hat as a way to include the rest of her classmates and make a memorable day for everyone!

Oh this is darling. Could it be that someone else needs Freda’s hat more than she does? What a great lesson for kids of all ages.

This book is so sweet! The illustrations are colourful and have some fun details in them. The story itself is heartwarming and has many messages for little kids, from being careful with their possessions, to helping others, and being selfless. I loved that there was a wide cast of Dinos that all interacted with and helped the main character.

Picture Day at Dino Play is such a cute, sweet book. As a former preschool teacher, the book lends itself to so many possible life lessons - perseverance, kindness, selflessness. As a culminating activity, I would also do a craft activity - possibly a hat, like Freda’s, or other accessories (scarf, ties, etc).
The illustrations are fantastic and help bring the story to life.

This was a sweet story to read with my dino loving son. The illustrations are bright and colorful. The story is engaging and was able to keep my four year olds interest I enjoyed the message of keeping a positive attitude when things don’t go as planned.

This book was so cute! My 3 year old and 5 year old loved it. It showed that some times things don't always go as planned, but good things can still happen.

This book was very cute and teaches that sharing is caring and sometimes there are other people/animals in need and Freda was there to help provide the birds a home with her hat :)

I am a big dinosaur fan, so when this book came across my screen, I just knew I had to request it. This is a very sweet story about losing something important to you and learning how to accept it. The artwork was colorful and fun! I loved the small bits of rainbow scattered throughout the book. Kids love bright colors, so it was a great touch! The friendship between the dinosaurs was also adorable. Everyone chipped in to look for Freda's hat!

Oh my gosh I am in love with this little picture book. It's picture day and Freda is wearing her favorite hat, but she loses track of it because she's having so much fun. The pictures are adorable, the characters are sweet, and you really feel what it's like to be in a busy room with a bunch of bright youngsters. I can't stop smiling. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

I grabbed this book as a read now from Netgalley because it looked curate and who doesn’t love Dino’s. My 6 year old loved it haha. This was a super cute story. I don’t want to spoil to much but she said her favourite part was the end where all the kids made their “craft” based on what happened earlier and the pictures lol.
Thanks again to Netgalley and NorthSouth Books for the complimentary copy to review.
