Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for the eARC! Worm is so cute- a fun spring read. The adventure of him losing something for the first time and how his friends helped him! The added picture hunt at the end of the book is a great way to get young readers to really look into the details of pictures throughout a book too!
So sweet, so detailed, so nicely pictured.
I enjoyed the story of worm immensely and I am sure my daughter will also love it once I read it to her.
This was a funny book. My toddler had a blast watching these two friends sort through the Lost & Found.
The illustrations were very detailed and my toddler could name every emotion Worm went through. I would definitely keep a copy of this book for my mini. We enjoyed it.
The best part, was the end of the book that turns this entire experience into an interactive one.
I volunteered to read a copy of this ARC through NetGalley.
I grabbed this one the moment I saw the cover. My kiddo loves worms and can't stand to be without his hat so it sounded perfect, and it was! This book was absolutely adorable and funny. Worm runs a lost and found shop, the best around. One day he loses his hat and needs his friend Seal to help him find it. While they look, Worm cycles through lots of feelings and the illustrations for it are wonderful. Kiddo particularly loved pages 11-12. We had to read and reread them in every voice we could manage.
At the end of the story are two pages of objects hidden within the rest of the book for kids to find, which he is happily doing now. I will absolutely be looking form more from this author/illustrator and buying a physical copy for our shelves when it releases.
Thank you NorthSouth Books and NetGalley for an advanced digital copy of " Worm's Lost & Found" by Jule Wellerdiek. I loved finding at the end a page of items hidden in the book for kids to find! That was such a fun addition that I know many kids would love the challenge of doing! I think this was a great book to help students figure out what they can do if something they love is misplaced/missing too as well as knowing it's okay if you don't find it. This book would be a great addition to a classroom or home library for kids!
This adorable book is a must-have for any little one who's ever misplaced a favorite toy! Worm runs the coolest Lost and Found ever, reuniting lost treasures with their rightful owners. The story is heartwarming, and the illustrations? They're like, totally dig-in-the-dirt amazing! Your kiddos will be giggling and wishing they had their own Lost and Found after reading this gem.
Thank you to NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was cute, but it felt really abrupt plot wise. I realize that it's a picture book but it felt like it went from problem to no problem so fast. I liked the illustrations.
Worm runs the best lost & found business in town. But what happens when *he* loses something? Will anyone be able to help him?
There's so much to love about this adorable picture book. As a mom of 4 boys, there seems to be no end to the amount of lost items in our home! This book reminds children that it may take time to find a lost item, but good friends can help you look and help take your mind off of your sadness about a lost item.
Children and parents alike will love this clever picture book. The illustrations are stunning and the story is silly and cute. Kids will love the end of the book, where they are given 30 lost items to locate within the pages of the book.
I received an advance copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

"Worm runs a lost and found office. Seal is his best customer. But when Worm loses his hat... they switch roles. Can Seal's approach of looking everywhere and nowhere at all help Worm find it?"
Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this arc in exchange for my honest review.
Aaawww this was the best! I can’t stop smiling :). A short, fun and sweet story with very detailed, warm and soft illustrations.
Worm is such a helpful character. He runs a lost and found office and we see lots of animals visiting and being helped by him.
But one day he loses something himself, for the first time ever! He asks a friend for help and it’s so funny how he tried to be, but wasn’t very helpful or was he?
This shows us that sometimes we find a solution for our troubles when we let go of them for a while. And that friends are the best in their own unique ways :).
An absolutely charming and visually stunning picture book !
Worm has a very successful Lost and Found, all the animals go to his shop when they’re looking for something. Everything is well until Worm himself loses something… hopefully his friend Seal is here to help him !
Jule Wellerdieck writes and draws an endearing story about friendship and how you and your friends complement one another.
I loved the colours of the illustrations, it’s soft with a chalky effect. Each page is rich with details, such a treat for the eyes !
Thank you to NorthSouth Books and NetGalley for providing me with a complimentary copy of this book.
"Worm's Lost and Found" is a delightful tale about a worm who excels at finding things, until he misplaces his own cap. With the assistance of Seal, Worm embarks on a quest to retrieve his cap and return to his usual activities.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The messages it conveys about resilience in the face of setbacks and the importance of both giving and receiving help are wonderful. The illustrations are engaging and whimsical, and the interactive aspect where children can join in to find missing objects adds to the enjoyment, reminiscent of "Animalia."
I would highly recommend this book to anyone seeking an entertaining read with interactive elements and valuable lessons about coping with lost items to share with children.
Prototype. This will be the first of many in this original story. The illustrations are warm, whimsical and particolored. Every child loves a good mystery and lost & found is both a mystery when you lose something (where could it be?!) and when you must find it (especially if in a big school stockpile). Highly recommend.
I obtained a copy from NetGalley.
This was a good idea for a book, it shows that lost and found is a very helpful place, and that losing things is completely normal, I liked the concept of this book however it wasn’t for me or my child
Worm's Lost & Found is a cute story about two friends who help one another out often. Ironically, Worm, who is typically the one helping his friend, Seal, and many others find things that are lost, loses his favorite hat. He enlists the help of his forgetful friend, Seal. Seal helps Worm get his mind off the lost hat and the hat is found. Illustration of this book is great.
A book geared for younger grade readers. Worm runs a lost and found but is upset when his hat goes missing. Worm calls his friend Seal to come and help. The story is quick and sweet with gentle illustrations. I think more could have been made of managing feelings because losing something important is something everyone can relate with. At the end of the book is a page of various objects to find causing you to explore the book again. Geared for younger grade readers. Thank you to NorthSouth Books for the temporary ARC via NetGalley and I am leaving a voluntary review.
This is a delightful book filled with charming illustrations that are sure to capture your imagination. There's so much detail packed into each drawing that you'll discover something new every time you flip through the pages. What's even cooler is how the book ties into the theme of finding lost things, because it includes a cute little puzzle where you have to hunt for hidden items scattered throughout the pages. It's like a treasure hunt, making reading even more interactive and enjoyable.
What is also nice, is that when the characters are upside down, the text and book follow suit, adding a fun twist to the reading experience.
I thought this book was so much fun. It's about a worm who runs a lost and found business and loses something of his own. Now that Worm needs his own services, he turns to his best friend for help. During Worm's journey, he learns how to manage his feelings. Sometimes it's best to stop and take a moment before getting upset. Kids can learn how to react to losing something and accept help from others in a crisis. I would suggest this to parents of young children.
Note to Publisher:
-At the end of the book, there is a cute finding objects interactive page for kids.
-I suggest moving this page before the story starts so kids can follow along as they read it.
- Another idea, try making this page viewable by QR Code or maybe a tear-out page so they can follow along easier to find everything.
-I felt like it was a hassle to keep flipping to the end to search for everything on that page in that story.
Love Always, Catherine
This is a super cute book about helping kids figure out what to do when they've lost something. Worm is usually the one who helps others find their lost items, but now he's lost his hast. His friends comes over and gives him seemingly unhelpful tips to find them. He gets frustrated but then listens to his friend and does something else, and then he finds his hat! What a great lesson for kids. They can see what worms does and understand his emotions.
A humorous and delightful picture book, author Julie Wellerdiek celebrates the joy that follows finding something that has been lost.
In this story, Worm -- who runs the most successful lost and found business -- can't find his hat. Worm's friend Seal, Worm's most frequent customer, helps with a silly solution.
The animals are cute, the story is funny, and children can enjoy a seek and find game as they read!
