Thrillers with a strong female lead character are always a favorite genre of mine, and this one delivers. I had not read the first of the series but easily "caught up" with the backstory and read this as a stand alone. I loved seeing minority characters, strong female characters, and a great setting. The plot was good with some nice twists I didn't see coming. I plan to read more of this series.

The Murder Club was a gripping read from the very beginning! I could not put this book down. FBI Agent Susan Parker is smart, charming and likeable. Will she be able to catch the Clothesline Killer before he strikes again? Will her family become his next victims? I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this book and am looking forward to reading the next in the series! Thank you to Sam Baron, Storm Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me to read this book prior to publishing.

FBI Agent, Susan Parker is back to investigate the death of a local wealthy man murdered in his home. The investigation reveals he belonged to an underground club obsessed with the ‘clothesline killer’ who focussed on single mothers who neglected their children. Susan is introduced to a local girl, with a scrapbook linking more unsolved crimes to the clothesline killer. Then another member of this murder club is found dead, and Susan fears the clothesline killer is trying to silence those getting close to their identity.
This book can be read as a standalone. Susan’s character is likable and her background story well developed, her loyalties are split between her deaf daughter, Natalie and her passion for the job. An enjoyable read and already looking forward to the next instalment.

Book 2 FBI Agent Susan Parker series. Another great gripping read! In this story we follow Susan Parker and her team as they try to figure out who is killing members of a Billionaire Murder Club

This was such an interesting concept for a book and I was surprised by the ending and the multiple shocks throughout the book. The author kept you on the edge of your seat quite a bit by dropping mini twists and bombs throughout, but there was still a big lead up to the end with a shocking ending. I didn’t initially realize this was the second book in a series, but that didn’t affect my enjoyment or understanding of the plot and characters. This book can easily be read as a standalone but I do now want to go back and read the first one. The ending also made it seem like there might be a third book in the works so I’ll be on the look out!

Read book 1 and couldn't put it down. Same goes for book 2!
Im thrilled to read book 3.
I love how this series has strong female characters but there are modern day relstions (i.e. POC, suicide, single parent, adult with parent trouble, unconventional family, etc)!
I need more Susan Parker & Co. in my life ASAP

Thanks to NetGalley for the ACR! (Even tho I managed to read it a month (or two) after I got it🙈)
Honest review -
3.3/5 for me
Mostly because I like Susan's character for the mother that she is(so millennial, it's not even funny) I like that she's Goan. I'm Goan so I relate. But that's where it ends. Sure she's Indian but Goan Indian's are very different in comparison to most Indians. AND IT SHOWS. But for Susan it doesn't really. She morphs into the stereotypical Indian.
Maybe I'm just being hard on Susan cz she might be the closest to the Susegad (laid back) Goan character I've ever read. But it still hurts a lil that her Goan Heritage wasn't used enough :')
Story wise it is your typical "I'm seeing the perspective of the killer and the cop" and because of that you see the killer and the *I can't say it* from a mile away and that kinda sucks.
And if I'm being totally honest, I think I liked The Therapy Room (Book 1) better.
This book has its moments. Good and bad ones (Take a Shot every time someone calls Susie, Jefe)
But I will definitely read the next book.

This book is the 2nd book in the Susan Parker series. This was fast paced and kept my interest. I feel like it would have been better if I had read the first book.

I love a good thriller and this was a lot of fun to read. Recommend. The premise was very compelling and I enjoyed the read/
Thank you to Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed this story, it was quick and easy to read.
The Main character though, oh my goodness. She was something else. She was my least favorite part of the book. I felt like the author added in multiple people just so the book could be inclusive. I'm ok with everyone being represented in the novel however when someone is deaf and communication in ASL they don't' "say" anything they "sign". This error annoyed me and I hope it was caught before being published.
This one wasn't for me. I probably will not continue on with this series.

Many thanks to Netgalley for this book. I received this book in exchange for my honest review. My thoughts are entirely my own.
In this book Susan Parker is requested to investigate the murder of a billionaire and his mother tells Susan that it’s the billionaire murder clubs fault, they were able to tap into a serial killer’s stream where the killer records each murder and now the members will slowly be picked off. Trevor Blackburn is the only member that Susan and her team are unable to talk to because of lawyers and when Susan gets a warrant to seize computers and things Chief McDougal arrests her on obstruction of justice and Trevor vows to help her in exchange for being able to talk to the killer. The killer poses as someone from child protective services and threatens to take her daughter Natalie away. The killer comes to Susan’s house and puts something in her garage that ends up with a fire. Susan and her team figure out that the killer is actually Trevor’s son and he murdered his wife with a clothesline and left him to fend for himself. Trevor kills his son before he kills him. Trevor is placed under arrest and Susan reports to a new supervisor.

Not my favourite read. It was ok but didn’t find myself wanting to keep reading. It was enjoyable though and my first from this author

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the arc in exchange for my honest review!
I'm going to be honest, I struggled with this one. It was hard to stay focused and at times I was just bored. Lot's of questionable decisions with the main character that didn't make sense and left me scratching my head.

FBI Agent Susan Parker finds a body. This person belonged to a club where they watched people get murdered. Others are killed as well.
A most interesting book. There is twists and turns that keep you waiting for the next one.
Thanks to the publisher Storm Publishing and to NetGalley for the ARC.

This was a very good book and quite chilling. I could not put this book down and read it in one day. I would definitely recommend this book.

I got bored with this book. I found nothing about the characters that made me want to keep reading. I'm looking for thrillers that are fresh and new and this wasn't it for me. I found the main character unlikable.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a review copy of this book.
The Murder Club is an FBI thriller where we have a string of different murders that all lead back to one individual.
Through the thorough detective work of a pizza delivery girl and her friends, our main character Susan comes to learn that there has been a serial killer at large in their area for some years. Though the method of killing and the profiles of the victims are similar, they have never been attributed to the same individual. As Susan starts to unravel this mystery, she soon realises that her personal life is affecting her work on the case and the serial killer seems to turn his attention to Susan and her family.
I enjoyed this book and was invested from the get go however the ending was a let down for me. There were a lot of things happening that were unbelievable and convenient and it really didn't pack a punch in the way that the author intended.

Thank you for allowing me to review this book. I found it very exciting. I liked the characters and the respect shown to Urduja, the local pizza delivery girl. It was fascinating how the murders of some women over many years are quickly digned off, due to their impoverished backgrounds. This was well written and the twists and turns kept me interested. So many votes ups, so many people who were being manipulated. The ending wax unexpected.
A great read and an author I look forward to reading more from.

This book was not what I expected it to be and I loved it! I didn’t realize it was part of a series, but that didn’t prevent me from enjoying the book. I appreciate the opportunity to review this advanced reader copy thanks to NetGalley and the publisher and look forward to reading more books by Sam Baron

Absolutely gripping and thrilling read! I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t put it down. Bonus points if you read this in a cabin in the woods :) highly recommend!
