Talk about edge of your seat and nail-biting. I did more than a bit of both. It had just the right amount of action and suspense. It was a great read and I look forward to more by this author.

This was an exciting book! I don’t read a lot of military thrillers but I liked the first Derek Harrington and was quite curious what he might be up to tackling next. The action starts right as this book opens and there is plenty to go around throughout the story. I was never exactly sure what might happen next and loved that there were a few surprises worked in.

Derek is working with the FBI to take down a terrorist group. I quickly surmised that if Derek had been completely in charge things would go much smoother but the bureaucracy seemed determined to muck things up. Derek stays cool when things go sideways and can think outside the box and make difficult calls. The developments in his personal life were just as difficult to navigate.

I listened to the audiobook and thought Jay Snyder did a fantastic job with this story. He brought the characters in this story to life by adding just the right amount of emotion to his reading. This story had a lot of action scenes and I thought he used the perfect amount of intensity in his performance at the key moments in the plot. I am certain that his performance added to my overall enjoyment of this story.

I would recommend this book to others. This action-packed story is centered around a character that I have grown to care about. This book is the second installment in the Derek Harrington series but could be read as a stand-alone since the author does a fantastic job of getting new readers up to speed. I look forward to reading more of this entertaining series.

I read book 1 to prepare for this ARC and I am so glad I did, I would have been lost if I hadn't done so. This was a great read and sadly I could totally see something like this happening today in America. I just hope that if it ever does we have people behind the scenes protecting us. the way Derek and his team do in this book. They are totally bad-asss.

I really liked the first book in this series! This one was not quite as good but I still enjoyed it. If you like Lee Child's books, you will enjoy this one as well!

In the book The Infiltrator, author T. R. Hendricks continues his Derek Harrington series. Harrington is a retired Marine Recon and SERE instructor. He is making a living training survival groups and is the tip of the FBI’s spear to eradicate a domestic terrorist group. After several successful operations, Harrington and his group believe they are about to bring the terrorist group down. But they are not prepared for what is about to happen. Will the team survive? And will Harrington complete his mission while keeping his family safe? I would highly recommend this book and the series. The audio-book narration was very good. I received a copy of this audio-book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I missed the first book in the series somehow, but I was thrown right in to this one without needing to have read it. This is one of those books that is action from start to finish. The kind you read through and finish quickly because there is no natural break to put it down for later. I do think I need to go back and read the first Derek Harrington book to get to know the parts of the character I may have missed.

I believe this is the first I’ve read by this author…but it will not be the last!
Phenomenal, action packed, biting your nails, hanging on the edge of your seat kind of book! So, I absolutely loved it!!

Derrick is a special agent. He’s got skills that I’d guess only 1% of the population have…he’s highly trained (in staying alive)….and, he’s a remarkable sniper!

That being said, he’s found his way back to trouble…as a matter of fact, he’s right in the heart of it! He’s not worried for himself, but he IS worried for his family. His ex-wife and son, who he loves very much…

His main goal through all of his exploits is to keep them SAFE!

When he finds himself in the hills of Kentucky, fighting against the unknown, well…I’m offering up prayers for him. It was that scary…. 😮

I did not realize that his was book #2, which means the author did a great job in continuing the series! I’m hoping that there will be a book #3!

This is my first exposure to this author and I was not disappointed. This is a wonderfully crafted action-packed story with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat right to the last page. His characters are well developed and the action is non-stop. The story grabs you from the first page and the many twists and turns in the story make it a real page turner that makes it hard to put the book down. Don’t start reading it if you are not prepared to stay up all night!

Book 2 in the Derek Harrington series. (note - these should be read in order) After reading The Instructor, as soon as I saw this was available I was all over it. While the narrator was fantastic, when I am reading a military thriller, I have a tendency to want to take notes and keep up with the characters. I mean, some books I want to get lost in, but in this type of book, I want to win. Two agendas coming together, characters are fleshing out and the reader just gets to know them better. I love a character that I can get behind and cheer on and one with flaws that makes them even more real. What makes this a great series is that you will get new characters. Yes I will go back and read this and yes I cannot wait until Book 3!

✨REVIEW: Thank you @netgalley and @readtrhendricks for this eARC audiobook! After listening to “The Instructor” last year, I knew I needed more of Derek’s story. This one did not disappoint! This action packed story had me wanted to speed listen just to see what would happen next! I finished this audiobook in one single day because I couldn’t help myself. I loved following Derek Harrington on yet another journey of nonstop thrill, however, this was one that I wish I had the physical copy to refer to. The beginning with all the character names and changes in perspective really confused me at first. I would’ve liked to have been able to flip back easily to cross check my understanding. In the end, I loved the story, but would’ve preferred a physical copy this time around!

The Infiltrator is the second book in the Derek Harrington series and this should be read in order.

As someone who loves the first book I was very excited to dive right into the second book. The first book was captivating from start to finish with nonstop action. I was expecting more of the same but things seemed to move slightly slower in this one.

Derek is dealing with many problems with his family that carry over from the first book. While trying to figure out what is best for his family he is trying to take down an organization called Autumn’s Tithe.

Personally, I felt the corporation could have been a little more flushed out since this was a slower-paced book but it still hit all the marks. This is a great follow-up, and I look forward to continuing the series with Derek Harrington.
