I love reading True Crime books, but this one was a little different. I couldn't tell if the dialogue was meant to be simple/elementary, degrading t0 the intellect of the supposed speakers, or antiquated as in 1940s "wholesome" speech. The story was definitely intriguing enough to be written about... the villain was vile, despicable, and cruel. The victim along with her family and friends, however, were made out to be simple-minded, naive, and hokey to the point of hilarity. When threatened with the death of a loved one IF secret plans were made known.... EVERYONE spread the secret. Literally no one kept their mouths shut. It was as if everyone was a 4-year-old drama queen with no threat of a timeout in the corner. I'm shocked that half of the people in this book didn't get themselves killed through stupidity.
Then again, I'm not sure if these were the true thoughts and actions of the people in the book or if this was a misrepresentation made by the author in errancy or just for entertainment purposes. I'm VERY interested to see other's opinions on this!
Altogether, this was an entertaining book. If it wasn't a true story, this could definitely be made into a blundering comedy movie.

Great and engaging narration.
