I grinned as I read this. Partly because it was cute, partly because it seemed as much a beacon for parents struggling to get their children to bed at a normal time as a cute story. The book is quite short and no adults appear but, well, the siblings in this story are playing parent/caretaker to a dinosaur. Yes, you read that right. A fun dinosaur. But, they're finding it tiring as it doesn't want to sleep when they're trying to sleep. Sound familiar to any parents out there? Grin. You'll get a chuckle out of the use of the dino's horn in a puppet show, sure, or how the clever siblings have a ladder handy to assist in efficiently giving it a bath, but the purpose of this book is really to remind those in charge of the necessity of routine, routine, routine.

As for the children, looking at a troublesome, not-at-all-sleepy charge from the vantage of being the ones in charge of not just it getting rest but them, too, might provide some welcome understanding of the importance of sleep. The basic steps are listed as part of the action (ie in a sibling's hand) as well as then illustrated step-by-step. Nothing surprising, of course, as we know setting a routine and keeping to it is important, but it also shows the need to be able to handle those hopefully occasional "but I don't want to go to bed" nights. All in all, a cute story that offers help, with well done illustrations. I mean, the dinosaur with its rubber ducky is just too cute. Thanks #NetGalley and #Familius for sharing this with me. I know the importance of keeping to a routine, so this is a nice reminder.

This children's book is very cute. The pictures are lovely and the text would amuse a toddler!

Super short book with a story about keeping the Dinosaur and kids in bed at bedtime. Rather than doing a bunch of activities that children like to do at bed time.

Thanks to NetGalley and the Publisher for the ARC.

A routine is a parent’s best friend when it comes to bedtime for little kids. This book attempts to show a popular evening routine using the children in the role of parents and a dinosaur. It is very short and while the description says “hilarious board book”, I found it pretty straightforward, sounding like a parent. The random capital and lowercase letters bothered me as an educator and I don’t understand the one page with a random fact about dinosaurs, but that’s a personal preference. The pictures are really beautiful. Overall, it’s cute bedtime story, but I think it missed the mark appealing to little kids.

I read lots of kids books to my own children, I have three of them so like lots!!! I feel like this one will be liked by kiddos. It’s easy to read and understand with a little Dino face thrown in there. But I don’t necessarily think it’s anything special.

Really cute bedtime routine book. My daughter is Dino obsessed and is 2. This book is perfect for her. My only criticism is the Dino in the book is a triceratops and the teeth Dino fact is about T rex. My daughter asked where the T-Rex was since we talked about one.

How to Put a Dinosaur to bed is a cute story about two siblings helping a dinosaur get to bed. The story is sweet and simple. It follows a typical bedtime routine and included fun facts about dinosaur teeth. The illustrations were cute and colorful and the text is easy to for little ones to understand. It's perfect for any dino loving kids bedtime!

Pleasant, cute, and brief book about bedtime habits which work, wondrously, on both human children and dinosaurs. A fun read, and will likely be helpful to put the kidlings to bed.

I loved this book, I've been wanting to get into more Children's Fiction as I find that they are a good way to switch off my brain and just enjoy the art style and the cute storylines from them, this was a simple book about two siblings telling you how to make sure that a dinosaur goes to bed and falls asleep, it was cute and I loved it, I highly recommend it

I was sent this e-Arc on Netgalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.

How to Put a Dinosaur to Bed is a children’s book written and illustrated by Alycia Pace. Since this book is short (around 9 pages), it’s perfect for young children. It’s also a board board, which provides a fun, tactical experience for little ones.

The illustrations are lovely and colorful, and the book relays how taking care of dinosaurs, like taking care of children, is tiring. This children’s book reminded me of the How Do Dinosaurs…? series. If you like this book for your children, I’d recommend checking out How Do Dinosaurs Go to Sleep?

My favorite part, and what differentiates this book from the How Do Dinosaurs…?” series, is the random dinosaur fact about teeth. Did you know a hadrosaurs can have upwards of 900 teeth? If the author continues writing dinosaur-themed books, I would love it if she included more facts like the one about the teeth. It makes the book feel more educational while also being fun to read. Thank you to NetGalley, Alycia Pace, and Familius Publishing for the advance copy.

I grabbed this one to read to my daughter as well because it looked cute and she likes Dino’s ahha. This book was super short but it was funny and rang true if you change the dinosaur and insert my child Hahaa. She actually loved it a lot too. We had to read it twice because she liked it so much haha.
Thanks to Netgalley and Familius for the complimentary copy.

This is a very short, easy book that children will enjoy. The illustrations are very cute. There is one page with dinosaur facts that I thought seemed out of place. If facts are going to be part of the book, they should be throughout, not just one random spot.

A perfect bed time book! The illustrations were gorgeous and the story easy to follow. I love the idea of using this book to show the importance of a routine. The little fun facts about dinosaurs were so cute. Could definitely see this becoming a series with other dinosaurs.

This is super cute and I would definitely use it with my own kids to teach a bedtime routine. I think my 3 and 5 years old would still enjoy this, but it is especially ideal for younger toddlers who are trying to learn routines.

Oh my gosh, this is so cute, and such a perfect bedtime book! I loved how it talked about how exhausting dinosaurs can be, because it reminded me how exhausting it can be when your kids are little. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.

This was such a cute book to read with my daughter! She loved the illustrations and all the steps for getting ready for bed, which are the same as we do for her! I’m hoping this will help when we are having difficulties getting her into bed!
