Lyrical and sweetly dreamy, this one takes us through a child's day in a fun way. There are lots of little touches throughout within the pictures that add to the atmosphere without being disruptive. Let's face it, the goal is to lull a child into dreamland. My favorite was the parrot on the Pirate Moon pages. The moon has a cloud teddy, too, at one point so look for it. Grin.

While I'd wish for more of a story, this one was cute and has the nice rhytmical/lyrical repetition that helps lull children to sleep. There's an emphasis on routine, too, as we see the child initially at play, then things slow as the day wanes and bedtime approaches. The colors are largely pastels and at one point the sky seems to even be swirling in the distance, a nice touch. The word choice is simple with repetition, ie nothing jarring to jolt one out of a sleepy mode. There's some whimsy to the story which, again, I wish had been a bit more substantial. The ending seemed abrupt, too, though maybe that was just me. Don't get me wrong, it's a cute book, just not quite what I expected. Much of the humor, which is always a bit plus to me, was conveyed in the illustrations, I'll note. Still, for younger children, this book should be a nice touch, with soft colors and lyrical repetition to help them drift off to sleep after their bedtime routine. Thanks #NetGalley and #Familius for sharing this sneak peek with me. Made me feel like summer was here.

This is a gorgeously illustrated bedtime board book. Simple rhymes with few words nicely flow on each page. The illustrations truly tell the story, following the main character from the start of their day until it ends, as they say goodnight to the June Moon. Definitely recommended for a cozy and light bedtime read!

June Moon is a calming and sweet bedtime story capturing a little boy’s adventure filled day with the moon by his side. This is primarily a picture book, so words are sparse. However, June Moon is charmingly illustrated and written in a fun rhyming style that is sure to engage young readers.

Wonderfully cute rhyming book with beautiful pictures. This is a perfect bedtime story, that preps for bed in a cute way. This is a book that could be loved and reread many times over.

This is truly beautiful artwork. The story is all lovely rhyming and its short and sweet. Definitely something I would read to my four year old before bed and recommend to all my mom friends.

From rise and shine to time to sleep, June Moon poetically spans various events of a child's day. The short, rhythmic verses are soothing making it a great bedtime story for children and a quick read for parents. The muted artwork adds to the book's relaxing theme. June Moon will make a great addition to a child's library.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this book for free in exchange for my review! All opinions are my own.

I think this book might be a modern day classic children's book. This story was so moving and beautiful. The illustrations were also really fun. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I can see it being very popular!!

June Moon is a fun, sing-song board book for tiny tots. Lynn Becker's rhymes and rhythms are perfect for creating an easy-to-listen-to story. The moon in the book shares fun summer times with the child, including the bath and bedtime routine. Nate Carvalho's illustrations are colorful and charming. The book is warm and comforting. This book is sure to delight little ones.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for the eARC! A cute, short, bedtime book that features the moon. Short text and bright pictures make it very inviting for very young readers. This would make a good addition to any young child's nighttime book collection.

"June Moon" by Lynn Becker is a charming bedtime tale that beautifully illustrates the connection between a little boy's changing moods and the different phases of the moon. With delightful rhymes and a rhythmic flow, this book is perfect for early readers. Accompanied by captivating illustrations by Nate Carvalho, the vibrant visuals will enchant even the youngest readers, creating a truly delightful reading experience. However, it would be even more engaging with a longer storyline and a named central character.

I just reviewed June Moon by Lynn Becker. #FamiliusBooks #NetGalley

This was a very sweet book. The pleasant and simple rhymes take the reader (and young listener) along on a journey with a small boy as he gets ready for bed. The illustrations were gorgeous and the colors - especially the muted colors of the evening sky - created a beautiful backdrop. The parallel between the little boy's bedtime adventures and the moon were fun to see, and the clouds cleverly took on various shapes that added to the moon's story. I would recommend this soothing little book for little listeners!

Thank you to #familiusbooks and #NetGalley for this arc.

This summertime board book goes through a child's evening and bedtime routine, with short little rhymes that end in "moon." The repetition will be soothing for young children, even though it may get tiresome for parents, and the illustrations are cute. Overall, this is nice, but I don't feel that there is anything exceptional or memorable about it.

If you are looking for a quick bedtime story with rhyming words and beautiful illustration for you little, then pick up June Moon by Lynn Becker. I enjoyed the silly rhymes, all with the word Moon. This book is more for the pictures than it is the content, but it is still cute. I'd recommend this book for littles 6 months-2 years.

Omg 🥺

These are the types of books I wish I had when I was a child, bed fine stories.
This book would definitely be something I would buy for my future children, and it seems great if you have little kids that have trouble wanting to go to sleep.

Highly recommend!

This was the cutest picture book. I absolutely adored the illustrations. They were all so beautiful and had such vibrant colors. I could see kids absolutely loving this book. It is the perfect book to read before bed. If I saw this in a book store I would definitely pick it up.

Thank you to Familius Books and Net Galley for the ARC.

This adorable board book is perfect for the nighttime routine with a toddler or baby. It is cute and simple.

Sadly, it is not a book I can read to classes so it is not one I will add to my library.

This is a lovely children's book that follows a boy's day spent (and his thoughts and daydreams) with the moon as his companion. It's written in poetic form, which is cute.
What really shines in this book are the beautiful illustrations. They're detailed and filled with gorgeous colors that bring the story to life. From the twinkling stars to the beach, each page is a visual treat.
The simplicity of the text makes it perfect for young readers, while the words used make it enjoyable to read aloud.
I highly recommend!

The rhyming was nice in this one but I can't say I or my children really understood what the June moon is. It might be helpful if the back cover explains that. Illustrations were just ok.

This was such a cute read.

Between the child and the facial expressions of the moon, this was beautifully done. We would read this beautiful summertime story any night.

I volunteered to read a copy of this ARC through NetGalley.

I could see this book being read in a storytime for ages 18 months - 3 years old. The book would also lend itself to being good for bedtime. I liked that the illustrations started off with light pink colors and transitioned to darker colors, setting the mood of the sun setting and the moon coming out to play.
