Cute counting book. My daughter really enjoyed it. I love how it was centered around community and have multiple examples of things you could do to help your community that can be applied to more than just the playground idea of this book.

Counting books are always popular in my classroom and this one was that and more. From one to ten we watch as the community works together to breathe new life into a local park. The images were simple but engaging. A welcome addition to any personal or school library.

This book was just fine. There is plenty of kids’ literature exploring similar themes in a more exciting way and with better illustration.

Super gentle and calm illustrations and simple writing. A good diversity of community ie old, young, folks of many colors and ethnic and religious groups, mobility device users, Pride symbols, recycling, and more! Love the representation packed into this short book.

This was cute but I would have loved if it had included other ways of helping the community, perhaps one idea per page/number. I didn't feel like the story necessarily matched the title since it was focused only on fixing the park up. I'd be more likely to purchase a book with more variety because it would be able to spark better conversations and ideas with my children.

This ebook was made available for me to read and review by Annemarie Riley Guertin, Familius, and NetGalley.

The illustrator of this picture book is Cory Reid. The illustrations are bright, textured and recognizable. The images are layered as the story progresses and they tell most of the story.

This inviting picture book is perfect for new readers. Each page has a simple sentence describing how the community is cleaning up the community park. This reinforces responsibility for our community and shared play area. Also reinforces counting to 10. Perfect for little kids because the images are very busy.

Thank you to Annemarie Riley Guertin, Familius, and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this ebook. All opinions and viewpoints expressed in this review are my own.

This book was very cute and helpful for our littles who are working on number recognition. I loved that it all took place in the same setting, so you could directly see the impact the community was making on the area.

123 Counting on Community is a short book about a community coming together to clean up a park and build a community garden. The book starts with 1 messy park and counts up to 10. The illustrations are also colorful. The book would be fun for kids who are learning their numbers while also teaching them the importance of community and change.

In 10 steps 123 counting on community tells about how to make once dilapidated park and children's playarea into a place to connect.

It is simple and easy illustration with simple short sentences, easy to understand and catch up the meaning.

This was such a sweet "count with me" book that centered around community.

The pages were colorful and it gave my toddler the opportunity to count along with the book. It was beautiful to see the community come together to give TLC to the neighborhood park. They all worked together and will benefit from that work.

I volunteered to read a copy of this ARC through NetGalley.

Thank you to Netgalley and Familius for an advanced read copy of this book.

123 Counting on Community counts all the ways from 1-10 that a community can be united in reviving their park. My kids were once part of a community garden and they loved it! So for them to read about it was a treat for us all! I definitely will be sharing with my community Parks & Recreation Department so they can have this to share with younger ones about the importance of taking care of your community.

5/5 Stars! Thank you, NetGalley and Familius for this eARC of 123 Counting on Community by Annemarie Riley Guertin.

Very cute book and a strong message about the power of community. We are exploring the special needs world right now and the power of community is amazing with the support group. The colors are beautiful and my boys enjoyed this - especially my youngest because he's learning his numbers right now. The book was very short and it was able to catch my boys attention for the short time that I had before they run off the next fun thing. Very helpful and great to introduce to young kids.
