Absolutely adorable and hilarious. Our family loves the first book The Leaf Thief and we were so excited to see these characters again in The Snow Thief. The illustrations were engaging and my little one laughed throughout the story. This is one I will be buying for our seasonal shelves.

The Snow Thief again features Bird and Squirrel — but this time, we have a snow thief on our hands!
The illustrations in this are SO cute. My son (3.5) and I both preferred The Leaf Thief, but this story was fun too. My son thought Squirrel’s exaggerated reactions were hilarious. The ending section was a great segue for us to talk about how things are different in winter versus other seasons and how different animals respond to it.
Thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for the ARC!

I loved the Leaf Thief, so I was very excited to read Alice Hemming's newest book. Such a funny yet informative way to teach kids about the changing of the seasons.

I love these picture books! They are such a great way to explore the seasons. I love using them in Storytimes, especially with older kids. They really get a kick out of our squirrel friend. The illustrations are perfect for reading to a large group - clear and colorful!

My daughter loved this book. We ended up buying the physical book bc she wanted to read it over and over

I have loved every single one of Alice Hemmings' books, and The Snow Thief may be one of my new favorites! This crazy squirrel can't help but make me laugh, and my kiddo loves it too.

This is a Children's book that I read to my twin boys, and this is part of A Squirrel & Bird Book series. This is a cute and fun book to read. I loved that there is a lot of facts, and I love squirrel and bird's characters. The pictures are bright and bring the story to life. My boys also really enjoyed this story too. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

This is such a cute kids book. I LOVED it! It is the perfect type of book that my mother would love to read to my kids. It was funny and winter themed and I can’t wait to give to my kiddos.
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a copy to honestly review.

A super cute read aloud story! So much fun for kids of all ages. Perfect for the classroom, home, or library.

I love Alice Hemming's work SO MUCH and The Snow Thief was not an exception. My boys are 5 and 7 and my oldest is sometimes "too old" for picture books. But not this one. My kids both think this story is so funny and love when we do voices, with squirrel being always outraged and bird being long suffering and tired of explaining things. Such a cute story, great characters, and the artwork is beautiful. Absolutely an add to our collection.
I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

In The Snow Thief, Squirrel is back with his antics and frenetic energy, and Bird is there to provide perspective and chill. My kids LOVE reading these stories by Alice Hemming together, and as a parent, I appreciate the bits of little kid-appropriate scientific explanation in the back. I highly recommend all of the Squirrel and Bird books for families with younger kids!
Thank you to SOURCEBOOKS Kids for gifting my family with an ARC to review. All opinions are our own.

I loved this book! The story was cute and so funny. I also really liked the illustrations. A very nice seasonal book to read.

This charming picture book tells the story of Squirrel and his friend Bird. One day, Squirrel wakes up utterly bewildered because the grass, covered in snow, has vanished. Bird reassures Squirrel, and together, they joyfully embrace the snowy wonderland, playing every day. Eventually, as the snow melts, Squirrel becomes convinced that a "snow thief" must be responsible.
Filled with humorous scenes and playful speech bubbles, this delightful book is sure to captivate children's attention. The engaging characters and thought-provoking questions encourage young readers to explore their curiosity about the world around them.
At the end of the book, parents and educators will find additional information about winter and snow, providing an opportunity for further discussion and learning.
I highly recommend this book to be added in your child's bookshelf. A special thank you to NetGalley for providing me with the chance to read and review this wonderful book.

5 Stars!
Squirrel and Bird are back! My family loves The Leaf Thief, and The Snow Thief was the seasonal sequel we all wanted and needed! We have so much fun reading these books. Much like my little ones, Squirrel has several questions about the white fluff falling from the sky. Alice Hemming has another hit with a cute one.
Thank you to Alice Hemming, NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy!

This was one of the cutest books in the series. My daughter loves these books and this one didnt disappoint

In this book we can feel the love for winter and everything it brings us. The joy of snowball games, drinking hot tea or hot chocolate at home with friends, snow breath in the form of smoke coming out of our mouths. ice skating and all the snow antics that make winter fun. At the end of the book, it is expertly explained to us why the snow is white, the shape of the flakes, why our breath is like snow smoke, why we can slide on the ice! A great book for a winter and Christmas gift! Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book and reminisce about the snow days of my childhood!

First introduced in THE LEAF THIEF, Bird and Squirrel make a triumphant return in Alice Hemming’s THE SNOW THIEF. Experiencing snow for the first time, Squirrel has lots of questions for Bird about the chilly white stuff that has coated his surroundings and changed the familiar landscape. He soon overcomes his initial alarm and with the help of Bird’s calm and informative responses to his many questions, Squirrel even learns to enjoy it.
Like THE LEAF THIEF, this book is perfect for engaging young learners in an exploration of seasonal changes. The contrasting personalities of calm and patient Bird and inquisitive, impulsive, and anxious Squirrel propel the story and provide both humor and information. With its vibrant illustrations and engaging characters, this book will be a hit with readers.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for sharing an eARC of the title with me.

Just as charming and funny as The Leaf Thief, this will be a great addition to curious readers’ collection. Parents and children will find a very relatable companion in Squirrel, who asks “why, why, why” just as often and in much the same fashion as the 2/3/4 year olds who will be delighted with this read.
Thank you to Sourcebooks Jabberywocky, the author, and NetGalley for the ARC!

Thank you SOURCEBOOKS Kids, Sourcebooks Jabberwocky, and NetGalley for the advanced electronic review copy of this delightful book. This wonderful book with fun illustrations is just as awesome as the other Squirrel and Bird books in the series. Young readers learn about seasonal changes with the somewhat confused Squirrel. More detailed explanations to the Squirrel’s are provided at the end of the book. I can’t wait to share this newest addition with my students! Definitely recommend!

This one green bird sipping hot tea and reading a book is so me! Find me there in the book!
This board book describes perfectly the curious nature of a child who experiences snow for the first time and gets curious where it all disappears when the next season begins!
The writing is fun with full of action sounds and words. The illustrations are pure joy!
Just the perfect read that will explain who keeps stealing all the snow!
Thank you, Sourcebooks Jabberwocky, for the ARC.
