This is a Children's Book that I read to my twin boys, and this is part of the How to Catch series. I have read several other How to Catch books. This book was so much fun to read. My boys loved this book so much. The pictures were so bright and colorful and fun, and I felt the pictures brought the story to life. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

This was such a cute picture book that I will be purchasing a copy for myself as well as for my library. The children will love it as much as I did!

My four year old son and I both love this series of books! This was a cute book and I adored the little sandman. My son now has lots of questions about the sandman! It provides a fun opportunity to talk more about sleep and dreams! The story was fun and engaging and the illustrations bright and colorful. This is definitely a fun book to read at bedtime!

This was a cute little story. I really enjoyed reading it to my son. I would recommend it to others, especially teachers of young children and parents of young children. My son enjoyed it.

This is such an adorable bedtime story. We absolutely LOVE the How to Catch series & this one did not disappoint. Always colorful, engaging and fun illustrations. My lil loves looking for the traps hidden amongst the pages, it’s always delightful what the kids devise. I love how the prose captured not only the sandman eluding the traps, but also why he visits the children as well.

My kids LOVE the “how to catch a” books. They know mom likes to review books, so I asked them if they wanted to read this one together and share their thoughts. Here’s what they said:

Pictures: My six-year-old described the illustrations as “cool” and “colorful”. My eight-year-old liked how detailed the drawings were and said they helped support the story. She also liked the dreams the Sandman thought up for the children. “There’s lots of options, so any kid can find one they like.” My daughter pointed out that the font was in all caps, which made it easy to read. She appreciated that the text color changed depending on the background (e.g. a dark background had white lettering, while a lighter background had black coloring).

Story: Both kids liked the rhyming and rhythm of the book. My youngest hadn’t heard much about the Sandman before, and the description of him in the book was welcoming and comforting. We read this right before bed, and both kids were excited for the Sandman to visit so they could have great dreams.

My Thoughts: A very nice addition to this series of books! We love to read these together, and I always look forward to seeing which creature/being the author will focus on next.

Alice Walstead has done it again! This is such an adorable story about the "sandman", and as always, the illustrations are vibrant and top=notch. My littlest patrons LOVE the How to Catch book series, and I know they will love this one too. Highly recommended!
