I thought this was a sweet book as I love anyone that has an enthusiasm for something. The parts where there are stories about historical lighthouse keepers and the author's honest account of his ups and downs with ME were the most interesting for me. In places it could be a bit dry but in fairness it must be hard to keep it varied when there's so many lighthouses.

The author takes us on a three thousand five hundred mile journey around the English and Welsh coastlines visiting lighthouses, a childhood passion. As an MS sufferer he has more challenges than most, but uses his adventure to highlight the condition and also raise money for research. His travels are not without incident, and there are some lovely stories that illustrate his determination and resilience as well as the kindnesses of people known and unknown to him. Thank you to Net Galley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
This is such a lovely, quiet and gentle story about the importance of overcoming hardships, showing resilience and doing things you love. Just lovely. Will definitely be a hit.
A really lovely account of cycling round England and Wales visiting as many lighthouses as possible. An inspiring story of overcoming a lift-changing illness and doing something you've always dreamt to do. Would be a huge hit for cycling and lighthouse enthusiasts!
