In The Great Search, Newell brings his eye and heart to the deepest questions of how people seek and find meaning. By pulling insights from spiritually alert people from several traditions and world views, he demonstrates how wide and deep human experience is, and shows doorways to meaning for contemporary people who find themselves casting about, seeking for ways forward different from what the most readily available, and loudest, voices are pushing.

I can honestly say that Newell last book changed my spirtual life. It allowed me to abandon the Western church's obsession with original sin and to embrace my Celtic Christian heritage. I can't endorse this one though, as a Christian, because it gets a little too new-agey and nondenominational.
