This is a great read for anybody who loves apples or wants to learn more about them. As someone who regularly reads fruit catalogs like the huge Fedco fruit tree catalog for fun, I enjoyed the descriptions and photos of the apples profiled. It's hard to narrow down recommended apples from the tens of thousands of kinds out there to just over a hundred, but this seems like a fun assortment. I was a little disappointed not to have a bit more information in the entries like which ones are great for cold climates, like the sort of info I get in my catalogs. A great read, though.
