Caribbean Crush by R.S.Grey is perfect summer read. The luxurious cruise ship and the dreamy destinations play a perfect set up for this entertaining, slow burn, a bit heartaching second chance enemies to lovers romance. Casey made me laugh with her quirks and accidents..and then made me cry with her pain and sadness. Billionaire Phillip Woodmont is a powerful man who controls everything in his life but Casey is tied to a past that wasn't exactly this easy or charming. The enemies to lovers tension. The angst of second chance. The heartache and thrill of forbidden romance. It was a fast paced, emotional, swoony and spicy read.

🛳 billionaire romance
🛳 enemies to lovers
🛳 second chance
🛳 vacation romance
🛳 forced proximity

Casey Hughes has landed herself in hot water by claiming that she can land an exclusive interview with shipping industry king Phillip Woodmont because she " knew" him in school. Her career in Bon Voyage is stuck as a fact checker and she is desperate to fulfill her dream as travel journalist. But the truth is she and Phillip had a bitter past because of a silly sabotage in a school event. She has boarded Aurelia, the luxury cruise ship as an invited media person but can she score the interview? What about the sizzling hot chemistry running between them when they both think it can go nowhere?

Casey is such a beautiful character. She has been fighting just to stay afloat. Losing her grandmother and then the financial issues and then witnessing her dream career dying slowly..it was a lot. She has been in a vacant, colorless and lifeless state for a while now. This assignment with Aurelia and the company owner himself is the last straw. Phillip Woodmont has come so far from the shy nerd in school but he hasn't forgotten how Casey sabotaged the quiz competition in school..because he doesn't know she did it to save herself from a bully. So he didn't want to give her any time. But she is persistent and she wore him down slowly with her sass and her witty attacks. He was intrigued by her personality and her beauty because she is unlike anyone else in his life. She isn't intimidated by his wealth or his power or his grumpy brooding personality. She challenges him. She is filling his life with fire and colour. The chemistry is scorching hot and they tried to keep it sex only but their hearts had other ideas. Things got complicated for a while. Casey's fear to get hurt again made her push Phillip away over and over again. She stormed into his life and turned everything upside down and he realised that he doesn't want controlled and composed. He wants all the mess and chaos. I loved the secondary characters so much. Overall an extremely enjoyable read.

Warning, some probable spoilers ahead!!!

Casey has just been rendered homeless but as luck would have it, she is given the opportunity to interview The CEO of cruise ship "Aurelia" Philip who is someone from her past (but holds an IMO childish grudge).
I wanted to love this because I haven't read an R.S. Grey book in a while.

I enjoyed the camaraderie between Casey and her new found friend Sienna.

Her propositioning herself for just one night had me cringing.... . I hoped to eventually love it, I did not.
Would I recommend this? Only to people looking specifically for romance on a cruise ship or Titles starting with "C".

I love this author and even though I did not enjoy this as much as I hoped, I'll still pick up something of hers in the future.

Thanks to Netgalley, author and publisher for the chance to read and share my thoughts on this book.

A huge hang up for me is when things that happen between kids is used as the main source of conflict as adults. Why was this man so angry? A man with this big of a hang up please! I know longer can suspend reality and be attracted or interested. I do encourage people to check out her other work which I love and she has a huge backlist!

This was like a solid 3.75 stars for me. It just couldn't make it to 4 for me personally. There were a few aspects that really made this great though: Casey and Sienna's friendship was wonderful to read. They were the perfect cruise ship wing women for each other, travel buddies for excursions and dancing pals for the nights out.

The romance was good later on. The beginning made me cringe. I know Casey just needed to get her interview but the part where she did some shady stuff with knowledge about Phillip wasn't it for me. (Hard to mention this without spoiling anything). Also, the dude is still made about something that happened in MIDDLE SCHOOL. Bro, get real.

Overall, they were cute together and when Phillip gets honest... swoon :)
The ending is super far fetched so hang up your disbelief for a hot second.

This is an enemies to lovers romance between old rivals, travel journalist Casey and shipping heir Phillip. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an enjoyable read. Once they reconnect, it is a bumpy ride with drama and steam, humor and charm, sexual tension and chemistry, twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. Entertaining.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Grey's Promotions and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

4.5 Stars!
Casey Hughes has always wanted to work in travel journalism, and see the world, so she’s thrilled when the magazine she works for finally gives her an exciting assignment. For the next ten days she will be sailing around the Caribbean on a luxury cruise ship. She can enjoy the perks, but Bon Voyage magazine wants an exclusive from the powerful, mysterious, shipping heir CEO Phillip Woodmont, and she’s promised to deliver. Her job is on the line, and she’s determined to persuade him to give her an interview. The only possible issue could be their history. She hasn’t seen him since middle school, so she assumes he won’t recognize her all grown up. It’s been a long time, but he clearly hasn’t forgotten her or their past, and holds a major grudge. This successful, devastatingly handsome man is nothing like the boy she remembered from her prep school days. He’s a private person dedicated to his career, and his main priority is Woodmont Overseas. On board Aurelia they clash at every turn. It’s challenging and all fun and games until real feelings get involved and everything turns complicated.

Caribbean Crush by R.S. Grey is a slow burn, forced proximity, billionaire, grumpy/sunshine, enemies to lovers, workplace romance about friendship, self discovery and second chances. As old rivals reunite we get a romantic comedy full of humor, passion, delicious tension, explosive chemistry and fabulous banter. I really enjoyed this story and these characters. This book would make the perfect summer, beach read. :))

RS Grey never fails to deliver a fantastic RomCom, and this book was exactly what I needed for the weekend! It was the perfect blend of humor and romance, providing both laughs and swoon-worthy moments (the banter and tension between the two main characters was just perfection 🤌🏼!). This story was sweet, spicy, and overall just the cutest story full of heart!!! I particularly loved the relationship between our leading lady and her late grandmother—it reminded me of the special bond I shared with my own.

It was the ideal mental escape—fun, addictive, and thoroughly enjoyable. If you're a fan of Annabel Monaghan, Christina Lauren, or Elsie Silver, this book is a must-read. Make sure to check out Grey's backlist as well; she’s my go-to author for when I need a break from heavier reads or simply want something that will make me smile from start to finish. Always a great choice!

Special thank you to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for a gifted copy of this book in exchange for my honest review! I listened 🎧and read 📚this one because I could not put it down!

4/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️for me!

This is the perfect #beachread to end the summer with - this story is funny and sweet and spicy. Casey is a travel journalist who lands the assignment of a lifetime onboard a cruise ship to try and snag an exclusive interview with Phillip Woodmont.

The thing is…these two are rivals (and epic grudge holders!) Can they work through their past or will one of them end up overboard?

I really loved the banter and tension between Casey and Phillip! It was really fun to watch them try and figure out how to exist in the same space while also trying to ignore their very obvious attraction.

Casey is sassy and smart and I love how she really starts to stand up for herself as her confidence grows. Phillip is…well no spoilers but *swoon

I also loved Casey’s friendship with Sienna. Overall this was an easy fun read!

This is the summer romance I have been waiting for, it was just so good and kept me coming back for more!

Casey is a journalist who is trying to get an interview with Phillip but he just isn't having it. Casey and Phillip have a history together and let's just say.....enemies to lovers? yup it's perfect

I adored the tension between them and of course the banter! Such a fun read!

I very much enjoyed this book. It was such a fun and spicy beach romance. There was so much chemistry and tension between Phillip and Casey. I also loved the friendship between Sienna and Casey. This book was also a slow burn, but once the spice happened, it was good. Sometimes I wanted to shake Casey at some of the things she was doing. I also liked when Phillip and Casey finally told each other about their feelings for one another.

Thank you, R.S. Grey and Grey's Promotion for a copy of this ARC.

Wanting nothing more than to be a travel journalist and to see the world, Casey Hughes has settled into being a fact checker. Being content for now along with using a little white lie, Casey now has a ten day work trip on a very luxurious cruise ship. Her job is not only to get a one on one interview with the cruise ship owner, but she secretly has to make amends with him as well. This exotic trip will look like a nightmare if the past is not forgiven.

Philip has made a name for himself as a successful business man. After years of putting in hard work and bringing his company to new heights, Philip is looking forward to this new adventure and setting sail. Clear skies, tropical drinks, what could possibly go wrong? Your arch nemesis resurfacing and asking for an interview while aboard your ship? This is going to be a long ten day trip.

I enjoyed the characters banter even though I was expecting to full on belly laugh with some things that could've happened. The days felt long but I really liked that we were given glimpses into the day trips and the interactions with the side characters. They were entertaining, witty and they made us really want to experience everything with them.

This was mostly a slow burn but I feel like it had to be done that way. We needed those day to day moments, we had to see how much of the past truly affected the present, and we also needed the main characters to come into their own. With all of that, I think that this was a good vacation enemies to lovers read. If you're in the mood for something fun, I recommend you go with this one.

I have been an R.S. Grey fan for years - her reads will hit your fluffy romcom craving. Check out her newest, Caribbean Crush which just pubbed this week. Thanks to Montlake for the gifted ebook.

✔️ Enemies to Lovers
✔️ Second Chance
✔️ Forced Proximity
✔️ Different Worlds
✔️ It's Just Sex

It was easy to root for Casey, who is trying to make it as a travel journalist despite having a terrible boss, and who is stuck on a luxury cruise run by a guy she wronged in middle school. 😆

The setup is a mouthful but this is what makes the story's pace gallop out of the gate.

I loved the friendship between Casey and her shipmate neighbor Sienna - I love when a romance has a great bestie storyline too.

The romance was fun and I liked that it was a more lighthearted childhood falling out (this was not an angsty second chance).

The tipping point from attraction to hookup felt a little clunky, for me. I liked the build up and the aftermath.

Overall, it was a breezy,
enjoyable romance; though it isn't my absolute favorite from the author, it was still a fun read.

loved this romance and interesting that she meet him at the hotel . She ends up working with him with the airline. she is fighting her feelings for him. He is trying to not become attached to her too. They are slowly having a good working relationship and figuring out themselves and their heat.

Wow! I absolutely loved this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.

Casey Hughes recently lost her grandmother to lung cancer and is currently living out of a suitcase in hotels. After working six years in a journal called Bon Voyage, and still having a position of fact-checker, she jumps into opportunity to write an actual article.

She told that she could snag an exclusive interview with Phillip Woodmont, the mysterious and elusive heir to one of the United States’ oldest shipping dynasties. He always refuses interviews, but she has an advantage, she knows his from middle school, even though she hopes he doesn’t recognise or remember her.

She gets on the luxurious and massive vessel, Aurelia, to advertise it before it’s goes to public services. On board other than the staff, photographers, journalists and influencers. She needs to advertise Aurelia and snag an exclusive form Phillip, no easy task when he hates her and flat out refused. But Casey isn’t deterred, she will still try to wear him down and forget about what happened in the past. I loved their easy and teasing banter after the initial hostility. I loved their chemistry and passion. They were made for each other.

Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re looking for a summer, billionaire, second chance, enemies to lovers romance then you’re going to love it.

A funny, fantastic adventure and love story! I loved the beginning of this story with Casey’s internal dialogue. She is a quirky and fantastic character. Phillip comes across as a stuffy businessman but deep down is very thoughtful and caring. Casey and Philip’s initial interactions were fantastic and their banter was off the charts. The voyage to their love story is sweet, funny and entertaining. The additional cast of characters are also amazing and add so much to the story.

Caribbean Crush was a cute, spicy rom-com that takes place aboard a cruise ship. I’ve read and loved many of R.S Grey’s books but it’s been a few years since I last read one so this seemed like the perfect one to jump back in. While I had high hopes for this, it wasn’t my favorite.

I loved that this took place on a cruise ship and I enjoyed all the descriptions of the excursions Casey and Sienna go on!

This had the amazing banter I’ve come to expect from Grey’s books but while I liked Casey and Phillip together, I was hoping for more between them than lust.
I was a bit disappointed with the reason for Casey and Phillip being “brutal enemies”. It was a childhood prank and the fact that he is STILL holding a grudge years later when they hadn’t seen or spoken to each other since was a bit ridiculous. In fact, both of them are pretty immature about it.

The side characters were great, especially Phillips friend Tyson and Casey's cruise neighbor Sienna. I liked the quick friendship that Casey forms with her. And Casey finally standing up to her boss was wonderful!

Overall, this was a fun, quick read and I’d recommend it for readers who enjoy rom-coms!

This book was written so well and easy to read, loved the story line too. The 2 main people Casey and Phillip i just loved them both, so glad Phillip stopped being moody towards her in the end. also started to love Casey and the other guy, wish they was in it abit more. However some of the chapters at the start of the book are about on hour long ( if you read this book on kindle) this is the reason why i had to rate it 3 stars and higher. could have made them chapters smaller and the book longer but over all a good book and people should read it beacuse i can see this book doing go9od with the romnce readers.

I’m having a really hard time understanding why an adult man would harbor such feelings of anger and betrayal so many years after a middle school prank. I just really do not like arguments between children being the source of tension between adults in an enemies to lovers romance. I’m too old for this.

I always used to love this author’s books, but I’m starting to think we’re heading in different directions. This just seemed so wordy, and filled with details that weren’t necessary. Flashbacks to middle school are taking forever. Explanations and descriptions are taking forever. There’s hardly any actual dialogue, it’s all just telling. I appreciate the dual point of view, but they are both telling the reader the same thing. I don’t care to read all the he said she said stuff. I also really don’t care about all the technological workings of a cruise ship. I want fun and romance, not science. I don’t care to hear interviews word for word. It’s boring, listening to Phillip think things and then say those same things to various reporters or journalists or coworkers. I loved the foundation of the friendship developing between the main girl and her neighbor, but I can’t hang in there long enough to see that through. These two main characters are just too immature.

After a string of fantastic heavy reads, Caribbean Crush was just what I needed. Casey, struggling with the loss of her beloved grandma, sets sail for her dream job, travel writer. However, she must catch an interview with the travel whale himself, Phillip, first. The problem is this whale doesn’t want to be caught. Nevertheless, Casey is determined to achieve her goal not matter what it takes.
