Beautifully art work and such detailed and stunningly done storytelling.
I wasn’t sure what i would think about this since i am not typically a graphic novel reader but this was so beautiful and i got completely sucked into the art and the story with it.
very well done and i would recommend it!
I am corgi obsessed and have my own corgi pup, Daisy, so this was a must-read for me!
Korgi is an almost entirely wordless graphic novel, where the only words are at the start of each book). At the end, you also get character descriptions and a handful of short stories. The art was simple but easy to understand the story.
Thank you to NetGalley, IDW Publishing | Top Shelf Productions, and Christian Slade for the opportunity to review an Advanced Reader's Copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest opinion.
Omg! O-m-g! This book was so, so adorable and cute! This might be THE cutest book I have seen in a long time!
It consists of tiny stories that make up one big story, and the artwork is SPOT ON perfection! Loved it so, so much!
I was surprised to see that Korgi started in 2007, because it has a much more 80s feel. And I say that in the best way possible! This book is evocative of “The Last Unicorn” and “My Little Pony.” A charming fantasy world, with a liberal squeeze of horror.
Korgis are clever creatures, some even gifted with magic, like fire-breathing. Paired with the Mollies (basically fairies), they live quiet, cozy lives. Except for when the monsters hiding below the local castle ruins come out to try and drink their blood. Or steal their wings. Or trick them with a rotting unicorn carcass.
Like I said, liberal squeeze.
The only text within these books are the occasional sound effect and a single-page story overview from a toad magician. If not for the toad (and, in this collected edition, the little biographies at the end), we wouldn’t know the names of the characters. But they’re designed well enough that we can identify the Mollies instantly, though the korgis are often a bit indistinguishable. I suppose the pups are just following breed standard.
This is a great pick for when you need a reading accomplishment, but have no brain to speak of. The story is light, the reading is lighter, and the overall feel is comforting. Anyone over 10 years old is going to know nothing bad happens long-term, here. Though, again, those littler ones might find a few elements in here spooky. That unicorn is no joke….

Thanks so much NetGalley, IDW Publishing, and Top Shelf Productions for this ADORABLE arc!
5/5 stars!
CUTE CUTE CUTE THIS IS SO CUTE!! I absolutely LOVED this. The fact that it was completely silent made the art even more engrossing. I just adored this
Thank you to NetGalley, the Publisher and the Author.
This is just the cutest!!!
Complete Cuteness Overload!!!
This is a collection of small stories that eventually form one big tale.
It is silent, except for the small introduction at the begining of every story.
It is adorable, sweet, fantastical, magical and full of adventure.
It is a gorgeous book and a must read for everyone who loves corgis or likes dogs.
Also a must for everyone who loves gorgeous art work!!!
This is a silent comic, no words, no sounds, just pure silence and wonderful illustrations. I enjoyed this complete volume which collects all the comics from this series and presents them in one glorious bundle.
The artwork is beyond excellent and captivates the reader, drawing them into the magic of the story. This is a book which can be enjoyed by readers of any age. The lack of words means that the reader has to engage with the artwork and in that way engage with the story and it is a beautiful story.
I really enjoyed this. I was captivated by the magic of the story and the richness of the characters nd now I would quite like a corgi for myself, but it would need to be a fire breathing magic one.

This was so cute. It was really interesting how the only words in the story introduced the section for you, but then the actual story was just art and you had to pick up what was happening based on the images that were included. I liked the world that was built, and how the corgis were incorporated into the story. It was all very, very cute.
The illustrations of the corgis are very well done, but some of the other drawings are not quite as detailed. I found the story hard to follow at times, and if the corgis weren’t so charming, I would not have finished. Sorry.
A collection of cozy graphic novels filled with cute illustrations. I have never read a wordless graphic novel before and while the illustrations were beautiful and outlined the story it felt like we only scratched the surface without getting to know the characters or even most of their names.
I little dialogue would have been perfect.
An easy read for any age group although some of the illustrations could be scary for younger readers.
I loved the story of a girl and her dog. The fantasy adventure were cute and fun. The art was amazing. They totally captured the cuteness of Korgi.
I'm always going to mark anything with corgis with 5 stars. I'm a teensy bit biased. But I did enjoy the story. There isn't any dialogue but plenty is told through the illustrations.
I am late in reviewing this, but I loved it! It was really nice to read everything as one collection and I've always been a fan of no word, or fewer word comics. Christan Slade's Korgi, is classic and lovely and just so dang cute!! I love the adventures and the rich folklore. This series will continue to be beloved by generations, I know it.
Follow Ivy and her korgi pup Sprout through five exciting adventures in Korgi: The Complete Tale, where curiosity is abundant and friendship blooms. When Ivy and Sprout are together, neither need fear the danger that awaits in each adventure. Their courage and the strength of their friendship are sure to see them through any situation. Whether it's hungry trolls or evil monsters that want to harm the Mollies, Ivy and Sprout are always ready to do what's right to save Korgi Hollow! Even if it is pretty scary.
Korgi: The Complete Tale was such a joy to read. Sci-fi and fantasy fans alike will love the world building as it mixes aliens and spaceships with cozy woodland cottages and creatures. There are also witches and wizards, both good and evil. The themes of going on an adventure, finding courage, building friendships, overcoming your fears are prevalent throughout the collection. Each story builds upon the last to create one epic adventure. There are some darker depictions that can be a little scary for some younger readers, but good always wins out in the end for young Ivy and Scout. The short stories at the end of the novel are just as endearing as the main story and end things on a bright note.
There is such expressive visual storytelling throughout the collection that is so rarely seen in children's literature. Because this story does not rely on words to tell the tale, save for each story's introduction by Wart, it allows readers to imagine their own dialogue through the beautifully illustrated storyline provided. This creates a unique experience for each and every reader, no matter their age. Younger children will love this book for the pictures, while older children will love to make up the words to the story as they read along. At the end of the book there is a section that lists out the various characters of the stories. I highly recommend referencing this section as you make your way through the stories.
Adult readers will feel nostalgic while reading this book as the artwork and tales are reminiscent of classic Winnie the Pooh, illustrated by E. H. Shepard. The art style is heavy, bold, and inked to absolute perfection, yet each character shows fluid movements and unique personality. Every character illustrated can be told apart from each other, even when there are several korgis drawn in the same panel. This individualized attention to detail is so important in creating depth to Korgi Hollow, where the Mollies and Korgis live. It makes you feel like you're stepping into Korgi Hollow and witnessing the stories unfold in front of you.
Thank you to NetGalley, IDW Publishing, Top Shelf Productions, and Christian Slade for providing me with an advanced reader's copy to review. I can't wait to see this story in its printed form. I will be recommending this title for our library's children's collection!

Mostly wordless graphic novel, narrator begins each story with text then the story unfolds with detailed, amazing pictures, about village of Korgis. Very expressive pictures . Fans of fairy tales, dogs and adventures will love this
This is the most whimsical, gorgeous book I have ever seen. This dark and mystical story takes place in a land where korgis and their bonded mollies live together and keep each other safe from monsters and creephogs. This tale is magical and so creative. The art is breathtaking. I have never loved a (mostly) wordless story so much.
The illustrations in this book and the story are fantastic. I pull some old-time fairytale vibes from the stories. I enjoyed the book and the art. The only thing I wish was the character introduction was at the front of the book instead of the end.
I didn't like this book overall. First, the copy given as an ARC seemed to be lower quality (esp the cover and anytime there were words on the page). The book was interesting, and the art was good, but it didn't make sense. Why can the Corgi suddenly breathe fire? Where did her wings come from? It was an odd story, and with no words on the pages, it was easy to get confused. I won't be reviewing this on my TikTok.

I would like to express my gratitude to NetGalley and KIDW Publishing | Top Shelf Productions for giving me an advanced copy of this graphic novel. It was absolutely adorable and I really appreciate how the author was able to convey a story without the use of dialogues.
The plot revolves around a Korgi and its adventures - that's all you need to know.
Overall, it was an incredibly heartwarming and delightful read that made me feel like I was receiving a warm hug.
No other graphic novel or comic I've read is like this. It's fun, whacky, and wonderful. I did not expect a book about korgi's to have monsters and aliens. It was way more magical than I expected.
The black and white art that looks like a ball point pen was done beautifully. I've never read a wordless comic before that truly needed no words as the story told itself.
A fantastic read for young and old. This is on my shopping list now.
