First, thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
As a teacher myself,I love that this book centered around two kindergarten teachers. Although I didn’t find the teaching aspects of this book super realistic, I still enjoyed it.
I like the duel POV too. I think it gave good insight into each of the main characters thoughts and their backgrounds. The characters themselves were well developed and I enjoyed watching them grow together and separately.
I really enjoyed this book, even with a pregnancy one night stand trope that isn't always my thing. The characters were lovable, their journey individually and together captured my attention, and it was even realistic about teaching! Highly recommend for any adult contemporary romance collection.
OH, my hopes were SO high for this one as a teacher myself! But, these two.. they were "enemies" who weren't really enemies... they just disliked each other based on their differing teaching styles. They were so, so immature, the plot was accelerated in some places and slow in others, and the POVs confused me. Going from 3rd person pronouns to 1st person pronouns makes it difficult to process, but I also understand trying to show the story from different POVs. But, pick one! I also wanted to love it because it was kindergarten teachers who found one another and truly, school is a lonely place when it comes to adult conversations. Alas - it just didn't work out for me. Thanks for the opportunity to review!
This was my first Sidney Halston book! I enjoyed the story and thought it was cute and funny. It was an easy read and I finished it very quick. I was left wanting more from the characters but ultimately and I found the writing style to not be my preference. Not to say there anything wrong with it-- I just prefer a different POV. I also usually enjoy a good pregnancy trope but this felt a bit rushed. I did appreciate the HEA and even if the fell a little flat for me overall-- I did enjoy reading the story.
Although this was a very cute book and I loved that they were both kindergarten teachers, it fell a little bit flat for me. It was presented as enemies to lovers, but the two characters were never really enemies. I also found the way that they acted towards each other to be extremely immature and irritating. Even though the book wasn’t very deep or the most well written, I did enjoy at least a few aspects of the story.
Thank you NetGalley and the author for the e-ARC.
This book was amazing and I devoured this book in just a few sittings! I loved the character development and how the story progressed.
This book was the first I’ve read that had the unplanned pregnancy trope, but I thought it worked really well within the context of the story. Both of the MCs had a very strong sense of character that made their interactions (and move from enemies to lovers) really engrossing. It was also the first teacher romance I’ve read and I loved the setting!
This book was cute and sweet, just how I like them. The spice and the banter are great and the HEA was believable.
This was cute and different, but not as spicy as I was expecting. The story was fun and easy to read.

thank you netgalley and harper collin’s for a copy of this earc in exchange for my honest review.
the way this was written was a no for me..i did not like how the pov was basically a 3rd person speaking in past tense it was odd. also the fact that it opens with “hit me with your best moo kylie” that just was showing how this book wasn’t for me.
Dnf at 44%. I honestly don't like pregnancy tropes, but I was intrigued by the teacher angle and the Abbot elementary comparison along with enemies to lovers tags. This sadly didn't live up to my expectations. The main characters act like children. As teachers, especially for kindergarten students, they should be behave better than they did. I didnt like how they handled the school, love, or baby angles. The FMC was way too much for me and the MMC was not enough.
Erm… I’m quite speechless. This book was not what I was expecting
It’s an “enemies to lovers” book, but in reality it’s two teachers who act like children. I think the children they teach behave more like adults. The pregnancy trope took me for a loop. I didn’t think it was well written.
Valerie just seemed the most immature and wouldn’t contribute anything to their relationship, unlike Andrew who at least put in some thought. But still their romance seemed more forced than anything else.
I love dual POVs. This one?? Huh… no. It was a 3rd person point of view then would switch to first person and it oddly placed and it didn’t flow.
I give this a 1.5/5 stars. Just no.

This was an odd book. The perspectives would randomly switch from 1st to 3rd. I'm not the biggest fan of the accidental pregnancy trope, but this was done okay. I found the characters to be slightly immature, but the story was okay.
Thank you to NetGalley & the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
The book was okay. I enjoyed the surprise baby trope more than I thought I would. There are definitely some very sweet moments in the story but I was still left feeling underwhelmed. I didn’t feel like there was much character growth with Valerie. She came across still really immature. She also didn’t do as much in the process of the book to build the relationship or give anything to the relationship like Andrew showed. The POVs were oddly written. Instead of it being from the actual characters perspective oddly read as a 3rd person narrator and at other times in a chapter it would switch over to first person. That was a bit strange.
Valeria me cayó mal y me exasperó.
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was a cute twist on enemies to lovers as rival kindergarten teachers with differing teaching philosophies have a one-night stand and eventually find more common ground than just their shared forthcoming progeny.
I liked that this was dual-POV and we got both individuals perspectives on the other. That being said, there was more context for kindergarten teaching than there was chemistry leading up to their one-night-stand. I could have used more, I hate this dude, but why is he so attractive? The story dragged in a few spots, mostly on side narrative about teaching that did nothing to move the plot forward. I don't often like the unexpected pregnancy trope, but this one mostly worked.
My thanks to NetGalley and Avon for access to the eARC.

Unfortunately this one missed the mark for me. This enemies-to-lovers tale took a little too long to build and often didn't make sense. It would've made more sense had alcohol been involved during the initial hook-up, there was literally nothing indicating they liked each other even in the slightest before the hook up.
Also calling this a "spicy enemies-to-lovers" is incredibly misleading given the two sex scenes that were mild at best.
Also, as an educator the national spelling bee for a kindergarten class was bothersome. I'm sure the purpose was to hone in on Andrew's great teaching ability, but a kindergarten spelling bee with words like gnome added little to the story.
Valerie and Andrew are dueling kindergartener teachers who grow closer together after an unexpected pregnancy. I enjoy an unexpected pregnancy trope and I was glad that the book's cover marketed it that way so that I could find it. This was a cute and quick read and I enjoyed the romance the more I read it. The first steamy scene could have used a little more spice/connection between the characters. Overall, a fun read!
THIS WAS SO CUTE. I loved the unexpected pregnancy and felt it really added a great twist to this. I loved their relationship so much!
This was really cute! Valerie was an interesting character… Andrew fell a little flat for me in the beginning, but of course he grew on me. It’s an enemies to lovers story with the twist of an unexpected pregnancy. I loved watching their real feelings quietly unfold with the pregnancy. The writing style was funny and clever, and only got overtly cheesy at the end, which is pretty good. It’s more like a 3.5 for me, rounded up. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the e-arc.
