I found this book an easy read with some interesting ideas and exercises for the reader to work on. I couldn't relate to it that well since a lot of it works on the assumption that there is some sort of childhood trauma or fault on behalf of the caregiver, which isn't the case for me at all - my anxieties came from elsewhere! I'm sure some people will find it helpful, but the style and tone meant it wasn't for me.

This books shows its important to listen to your body, emotions are there to be let out, don't let them eat away at you. Each situation will pass, experience it but don't let it become you. I like the idea of the RAIN technique. I hadn't heard of that before this book but it makes sense. Recognise, Accept, Investigate and Non-identify. All within our grasp to do and listen to our mind!
Different attachment styles are described, something I hadn't considered before but also worth thinking about as it could be relevant. Self love and self esteem is also important, make YOU count! Slowing down can also help you react to the here and now. Would recommend this, very useful!

This was a really interesting book. It had so many interesting points - things that I've not really thought about before.
There is A LOT of info in here, and at times it was a little overwhelming - so had to read in small chunks.
Would definitely recommend if youre feeling a bit lost, or need a bit of a pep talk!

In Choose You, popular Instagram psychologist Helen.Marie brings her gentle wisdom and kind (yet occasionally challenging) words to the page in this beautiful book about self-acceptance and self-assuredness.
This book was a soothing balm to read, with real thought behind each chapter, exercise, and journal prompt. Laid out in sections for you to follow in a linear fashion or to dip in and out of according to your need, this slim volume is a reassuring friend when the outside world may get too much or too loud. Recommended.
I received an e-ARC from the publisher, Ebury Publishing, through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

A great book to read to accompany your self-love journey. Not too preachy. I like that this book gives a calm vibe into it. The title really conveys what is inside. For those on the beginning of loving oneself, we can learn from the author's points. Recommended!!

I really liked the way this book explained things - it was laid out in good, easy to follow chapters.
I've read several self help books but this one seemed to come to my level and take it back up with me, in a great cloud of understanding.
The exercises and suggestions were good.
Good book
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC.

Thank you for the opportunity to review this book! I enjoyed reading this book and thought that the exercises and journal prompts throughout each section were very useful for allowing you to reflect on how certain themes brought up make you feel in the moment, and after reading. There is a lot to process in this book, and I will definitely be going back to work on certain exercises and journal prompts to continually remind me to choose myself!
