I managed to read this book in one sitting, I really enjoyed it and it was a quick page turner, fast paced book. This book is currently available on kindle unlimited so take the opportunity and give it a read now! This author deserves to be recommended to everybody.
The Night Nanny is Lamarr's second thriller and another five star read for me.
Trust me when I say it'll be a one sitting read. Honestly you won't want to put it down.
It's a non stop, fast paced page turner that's hot on suspense, is super twisty and OMG, the ending was a proper mouth drop moment!
The characters throughout are fantastic and they certainly kept me guessing as to who I could believe and whether I trusted their narrative.
Ava is a new mum and struggling after a difficult pregnancy and labour. When she meets and hires an expirenced night nurse she truly believes shes here to help but much more sinister things are on the horizon.
I loved this psychological thriller from Nelle Lamarr it was gripping from the very first page with twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.
I have not read anything by this author before but really enjoyed this book. It flowed well and it was easy to follow. Some good twists. I will definitely read more by this author in the future
The Night Nanny had me hooked from the beginning and did not let go until the last page. It was packed full of twists and turns which made it impossible to put down - Great read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC.
An on the edge of your seat thriller with twists and turns around every corner!
Although a little slow to start, it picked up the pace very quickly. You can never predict the plot twists. There was some great plot and character development.
I thought this would be similar to the cliché 'psycho nanny' thriller that we all know, however, this was nothing like any I have ever came across!
There are some very dark themes so trigger warnings recommended.
I really loved this. Well written. I only figured out 1 twist out of the million of them. Great book!
Nelle Lamarr's newest thriller, "The Night Nanny," delivers an electrifying punch! Just like her previous work, "The Family Guest," I found myself completely absorbed in its suspense. While I anticipated some twists, others blindsided me, leaving me stunned. What a fantastic read! Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the early copy in exchange for my honest review. If you crave non-stop action from the get-go, this is the book you need!
My first time reading @nellelamourauthor and I really enjoyed #TheNightNanny.
It hooks you right in from the first page. I couldn’t put it down. It’s fast paced, gripping, suspenseful and is full of nail biting twists and turns that keep you guessing to the last page. I loved the ending, so unexpected. Just brilliant.
I loved the storyline which is told through multiple POV’s from Ava, Ned and Marley. The characters are brilliant and well developed. I enjoyed getting to know the characters. I particularly liked Ava as she’s so relatable as a new mum struggling with recovery from pregnancy and facing all the newborn challenges of a first time parent.
Overall, a story about betrayal, revenge & murder and is a rollercoaster of emotions. It’s just brilliant. Definitely recommend. If you enjoy thrilling psychological fiction you’ll love this book. I look forward to reading more from this author.

For me this book was a little bit of a slower read in the beginning but once I got hooked, I was hooked! I enjoyed going through all the possible scenarios in my head and still ended up being wrong! I am not familiar with Nelle Lamarr’s books but I would definitely read more.
Talk about having someone creepy and mysterious in your home taking care of your beloved baby.
In this intense psychological thriller, I fell in love with Nelle Lamarr’s writing and an excited to read more from her!
Thank you, Nelle Lamarr, Bookouture, & Netgalley for my early copy! All opinions are my own.
This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time! This is one of those books where you are going to want to keep guessing throughout because you think you see how it is playing out, but I was wrong with each one of my guesses. I enjoy when the author can keep me on my toes and the story is not predictable enough for me. Nelle Lamarr's writing had me feeling Ava's anxiety and took me right back to being a newborn mother. I am looking forward to reading more by Nelle Lamarr with this being my first book. Thank you to Bookouture for an advanced copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own!

Short summary - Ava and Ned are new parents that hire a night nanny. The night nanny comes in and starts accusing Ava of certain things that she did not do - like leaving the baby on her stomach to sleep.
I was expecting a few cut and dry book about a nanny who does some bad things - like murder the wife, murder the husband, kidnap the baby, etc. Those types of things - the ones we all know they’re going to be like. While some things do happen, nurse Marley definitely takes it a step further in this book.
This book was not what I was expecting in the best way possible. Read this if you’re wanting to read a different kind of psychological thriller than the typical ones.
This was the first book I have read Nelle Lamarr, but it will not be my last! I was hooked into this book from the very first sentence. I had a couple of very late nights just because I couldn't put the book down. I just had to know what happened next. It was emotionally charging, there were a few times where I wished I could jump through the book and knock some sense into a couple of the characters, which is a first for me.
The multiple points of views in this book were great, but I am partial to multiple POV's. They are my favorite. However, a few times, I had to go back and re-read some things for other stuff to make sense, but that just may have been my fault for staying up so late reading this book.
I will recommend this book to anyone and let them know just how much I loved it!
After having a difficult pregnancy and emergency c-section, things are tough. So you decide to hire a night nanny. All of their references check out. So what could go wrong?
This was my first read from Nelle Lamarr and I was not disappointed. From the beginning, I was drawn into the story. This story had great character and plot development. Every time I thought I had it figured out, a twist that I didn’t see coming was thrown. And that ending had my jaw on the floor. Now I will say, Ava pissed me off a bit. There were times that she acted so clueless and dense. I just wanted to step into the book and slap some sense into her and let me not start with the Nanny Marley. Her constantly calling Ava “hon” made me want to ring her neck 😂. Overall, this was a great read and I ate it up. I will definitely be reading more of this author’s work.

Ava is heavily pregnant and using crutches because she has pelvic girdle pain. When she stops in a Starbucks for a coffee, her struggles are seen by a pretty young woman who offers to help her with her coffee. When Ava chats with her, she learns that the woman is Marley Manners and a newborn care specialist. She guesses the things that Ava has been diagnosed with which impresses her very much. Knowing that she will soon be put on bedrest, Marley gives Ava her card telling her that if she needs help with the baby comes, to let her know.
Ava is married to Ned, a top guy in a large talent agency company is California and they live in a nice home. When Ava goes into labor, Ned is out of the country leaving Ava on her own. She has a caesarian section and her pelvic girdle pain is still with her. Ned is not that interested in little baby Isa leaving Ava to struggle with her. He suggests that they get a Night Nanny. Ava remembers the card from Marley and calls her. She is instantly available to help. But she first puts Isa on formula and then takes overs everything not even letting Ava feed the baby. Soon, Marley and Ned become rather cozy and Marley tells her that Ava is not doing well mentally or physically and suggests that she become the live-in full time nanny.
When Ava starts to realize that Marley is not the confidant for her that she originally thought, she knows the woman is working against her and she must go.
This book is filled with breath-taking scary moments that will leave readers shocked. It seems like every time something new is revealed about Marley, even more shocking revelations come out. This was a scary book which many readers gave 5 stars. I feel that 4 stars are more in order simply because some of these shocking revelations are just over the top. However, I’m sure readers will be left on the edges of their seats as they read this one. Enjoy!

Fantastically written thriller with unexpected twists and turns. Going in knowing that the night nanny was suspect in no way takes away from the suspense. My first read from this author and will not be the last. Ava a new mother hires a night nanny to help care for her newborn as she suffers post pregnancy difficulties. Nurse Mabel soon takes control of every aspect of taking care of the baby and becomes hired full time to care for the child. Ned, Ava’s husband seems to not care for being a father and takes little interest in the baby however is very interested in the nanny.
I don’t want to spoil the book but was happily enthralled to read it and had it read in one day! Very unputdownable and highly recommended.
This was so good! This is the perfect thriller. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I cannot recommend this book enough.
"The Night Nanny" by Nelle Lamarr was a solid 4-star read! Ava is a struggling mother who has just given birth to Isa. The pregnancy wasn’t easy, and neither was the birth, so she is overcome with joy when she befriends Marley, a caregiver. Marley is first hired as a night nanny but quickly convinces Ned, Ava’s husband, that she needs to be there to provide care around the clock. As with any good thriller, this is just the beginning, as the secrets start to be revealed.
The story is mainly told through the perspectives of Ava and Ned as they swap back and forth between chapters. There are a couple of flashbacks to provide perspective for events happening in the present. The author does a great job of introducing us to these characters, making us enjoy all of them with one exception. Ava’s mother is a terrible woman, and I am not sure how Ava could deal with her as an adult. She would quickly be uninvited from my house! There are plenty of twists, some you can see coming as the author provides you with enough clues, and others that will surprise you. There were a couple of things, especially near the end, that seemed just a bit too far, which kept this from getting 5 stars.
Thanks to Bookouture, Nelle Lamarr, and NetGalley for providing me with the opportunity to read this ARC and share my honest review.
I read this book after another exceptional book (which I still can’t stop thinking about).
I found it to be a quick read but I couldn’t connect with any of the characters and found that I wasn’t bothered by any of them. I found them all to be shallow and unfortunately had no character development for me. Occasionally I found the story to be far fetched and unbelievable, the twist at the end pushed it up to three stars. I didn’t see that coming.
I possibly didn’t get into this book because I’m still mourning my last one. I have seen some fantastic reviews for this book so I’m sure others will also enjoy reading it.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an opportunity to read this book in exchange for my honest review.
