Loved this ARC read from NetGalley and Bookouture! It was a quick thriller that pulled me in and had me wanting to read more. While the overall cast of the book is small, making it easy to keep track of who is who, it seems like there are secrets many of them are hiding. There were times where I thought I had things figured out and I was right, and others where I wound up way off base! I can definitely say I didn't see the ending coming, but it felt a little rushed for me and I would have liked to have seen it fleshed out just a little bit more.

Broken Vows #1

My stomach flutters with happiness as I try on my wedding dress. In just a few weeks I'm going to marry Nathan, the love of my life, and everything will be perfect. We are estranged from Nathan mother, so I'm shocked when Debbie arrives, suitcase in hand. She says she's moving in to help with the wedding preparations. But what is she hiding behind her pleasant smile? Is it possible she knows my darkest secret?

Oh wow. There was so much going on in this book. With so many potential suspects to what was taking place, it kept me partly guessing and partly getting it right. The characters are well-developed, the pace is fast, and I quickly devoured this book. The story ends with a cliffhanger which sets up the beginning of the next book, The Missing Bridesmaid, perfectly. L.G. Davis has quickly climbed up my favourite author list.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #LGDavis for my ARC of #TheWomanAtMyWedding in exchange for an honest review.

Wowee! This is the third book I've read by L.G. Davis, and she continues to be great at creating crazy, thrilling, shocking and emotional storylines. Brynn Powell and Nathan Howard will be married soon. In the weeks leading up to their wedding, Brynn is settling into their new home on the beach in Stoneview, FL while Nathan is spending his time in Tallahassee working on a high profile criminal trial. It should be a happy time for Brynn as she finalizes wedding plans, but odd and concerning things start to happen.

Davis introduces a terrific group of supporting characters. Some of them are trustworthy; others are not. And at least one of them seems mentally unstable. But do we really know them? Who can be counted on? And who is behind the strange happenings in Brynn's life? This was a fun and gripping read, and the ending twist was jaw dropping. I'm looking forward to the second book in the series, The Missing Bridesmaid. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the digital ARC.

Wow! Thank you NetGalley for an early copy of this book which will be published June 13th.
This book had all the twists and turns that kept you guessing. I could picture everything as I was reading. Brynn and the love of her life, Nathan, are preparing to marry. But there are threats of it being ruined by who, the mother in law, “friends”, someone from one of their pasts? It was a fast paced thriller to read. I constantly said one more chapter before bed and would read until my eyes were closing. I can’t wait for the sequel, The Missing Bridesmaid.

This is just the perfect quick and easy summer read! It's got all the components you want from a domestic noir. The characters are well written and brought to life, the pacing is awesome and the plot constantly moves forwards. I love sad the tension built throughout and all the twists. It's not the deepest of books but it gives you everything you'd want from a thriller and I couldnt get through it fast enough

This was another excellent read by L.G. Davis. Right from the very start I was completely gripped by this story. It’s a fast paced and unputdownable psychological thriller. There were plenty of twists and turns that had my head in a spin. From start to finish I was completely enthralled by this book.

"The Woman at My Wedding" by L.G. Davis, is a disappointing book. The premise had promise, but the execution was lacking.
The story follows Brynn, a woman who's about to get married to Nathan, an attorney, in a small oceanside town in Florida. The novel starts with Brynn's wedding dress fitting, where she discovers that her mother-in-law, Debbie, has arrived uninvited. Debbie is a complex character with a strained relationship with Nathan, and Brynn's past is shrouded in mystery.
The story takes a creepy turn when Brynn starts receiving ominous wedding-themed gifts and threats. However, her reaction to these incidents felt unnatural and unrealistic. She's overly calm and rational, which made it difficult for me to connect with her.
The biggest problem I had with this book was the lack of originality. The plot relies heavily on tropes that are familiar to fans of psychological thrillers. The characters' actions and motivations felt predictable and unauthentic. The reveals were somewhat anticipated, and the action and resolution felt like they were ripped straight from a thriller checklist.
Overall, "The Woman at My Wedding" was lacking. The story relied too heavily on familiar tropes, and the characters' actions and motivations felt unrealistic and unauthentic.

2.5 stars

The Woman at My Wedding is a popcorn thriller and the first book in a duology. Or at least I think it's a duology. Fair warning: this books ends with a cliffhanger.

Brynn is getting married to the man of her dreams. She has the perfect beach house and the money to make her dream wedding come true. But everything starts falling apart when her mother-in-law shows up insisting to help with the wedding. And as it is with all the main characters in thrillers, Brynn also has a secretive past that may or may not be catching up to her.

This is a very readable and bingeable thriller. The pacing isn't slow, but neither is it fast. Some of the plot twists are predictable, others not so much. The prose is easy to read, but it's also very distant and clinical. There's a lot of telling and not enough showing. We only get the briefest glimpse into how Brynn became friends with her wedding planner and maid of honour. The same with how she met and dated Nathan. These relationships are already established, but they feel superficial because you don't get to explore in detail how they came to be.

All this to say that this book is plot-driven, and if you're looking for deep and complex characterization, then this isn't the book for you. The climax is wild, but also ridiculous. Again, there is too much telling and not enough showing, especially when it comes to a certain character's actions.

I was invested enough that I read this book in less than a day, but I don't think I'll be continuing with the series.

Wow! For fans of Freida McFadden, Daniel Hurst or Shalini Boland this book did not disappoint. Lots of twists and turns throughout and loved how it ended. Plus there will be book #2 so I can’t to see what happens next. Loved all the characters even though the mother-in-law was a piece of work! Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for this early release. To be published June 2024.

Thanks to #NetGalley and #Bookouture for the book #TheWomanAtMyWedding by #LGDavis. This book is about a woman, Brynn who is planning her wedding to Nathan, a lawyer that is away on a case. Every time she turns around something is going wrong or canceled for the wedding. She has no idea who is trying to sabotage her or why? I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to start the second one.

WOW! A brilliant book that had me gripped from start to finish!

Brynn and Nathan’s wedding day is fast approaching and someone is trying to sabotage their special day. Who? And why?

There were so many possibilities and red herrings that I just couldn’t call it. “The woman” was determined that Brynn didn’t deserve Nathan because she was a terrible person. Brynn definitely has secrets, but it absolutely wasn’t what I was expecting and it changed EVERYTHING. When the big twists starting dropping, my mind was blown!

A cliffhanger of an ending has me excited for the sequel!

5 ⭐️ Thanks to Netgalley, L. G. Davis and Bookouture, for an ARC in return for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC (Advance Reader Copy) of The Woman at My Wedding by L.G.Davis. This book was very fast paced and a quick read. I would definitely recommend this book for those who enjoy domestic thrillers. A 5 star rating from me.

Truly twisted story where no one and nothing is what you think. There are plenty of players with their own agendas and just when you think you have it figured out, surprise! Not at all what is expected but thoroughly entertaining!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC!

I was so into this book up until the moment Brynn found out that she was pregnant and then it all seemed to get a little bit farcical.

The whole ‘the woman’ thing went out with such a whimper (even though I had figured out who that was) and it was all a bit disappointing.

I liked parts of the twist at the end but it all felt very rushed and because the resolution of the woman part was so quick and almost a non-event it fell a bit flat.

I did think it was very fast paced and it did keep me reading late into the night trying to find out what was going to happen next.

Ms. Davis has a wonderful writing style and is able to vividly pen the surroundings and her characters in a way that the reader is completely immersed in the novel. In turn, it made it easier to connect with characters themselves .
The plot is solid, and there are some great twists. I figured out the first one, but that didn't take away anything from the enjoyment.

Everyone has secrets, and I was swept up into all the manipulation and deceit. I didn't know who was

Fans of popcorn thrillers are sure to enjoy this .
I have read and enjoyed most of 6 books and am looking forward to the sequel for this one.

Thank you to Netgally, Bookature, and the author for my copy. My review was voluntary.

I was a bit hesitant in the beginning, but as I dived deeper, it kept getting better and better. It blew my mind!

Then, out of nowhere, came the the plot twist... Oh my goodness! I was shocked by how everything unfolded, although I may have had a slight suspicion about one aspect. The rest was truly unexpected and there was no way I was putting it down without finishing it!

Cannot wait to dive into Book 2 ASAP!!

I received this book as an advanced reader copy for free and have provided my review absolutely voluntarily.
