Thank you to the author, Sourcebook Kids/duopress and NetGalley, for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book for young children looks at water - where it comes from, how we need it, where we can get it and why we should handle this natural resource with care. The book is from the "Terra Babies at Home" series, but definitely targets young children of pre-reading age and not babies. The kids I read this with are older, but still enjoyed reading it and would recommend for younger children as an introduction to water as a natural resource. My only quibble is with the project at the end of the book - lots of assumptions about how/where people live there, that will often not be applicable and thus will negatively influence the outcome.
This is such a beautifully illustrated and informative book for young readers. My daughter was so excited to make her own rainwater collector, as was shown to us in the book, and has been making sure to remind us to save water where we can. This quick book is full of amazing tips and tricks to save water, while also teaching us how important water is to our every day life! We cannot wait to get a physical copy for our home library!
This is a really beautifully illustrated book! It's straightforward and to the point, giving basic explanations for why water is important and how to conserve it as well. I think it would be best geared towards 3-5 year olds!
Loved this - my kiddo was fully entertained and asking questions the whole time! Great read for a range of ages 🌎
Thanks NetGalley for the arc!
The perfect book to teach your younger ones all things water!
It not only shares the importance of water and where/why we need it in our lives and in our world, but it also shares many ways where we can save water, with simple tips and tricks to get the little ones started on being little water savers.
I personally loved how this is speaks not only school aged kids, but also toddler/pre-school age.
Thanks Sourcebook Kids, Duopress and NetGalley for this Digital ARC, in exchanged for an honest review.
Cute book about water, ways it is used and how we can conserve it. It provides simple and real life examples of how children can conserve water. Fun, colorful pictures.
Amazing book on water conservation. Every person must read this and become responsible towards this most prominent surviving element for us to be here on Earth. We must all be very cautious while using water so that the nature keep nourishing us and our coming generations. Collation of facts to aware readers was done nicely by duopress labs with good illustrations by Asa Gilland.
I received an ARC of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
Well-illustrated children’s book about water – World Water Day, when and how to observe it. The book explains briefly why we need water in our bodies, what we do with water besides drink it. It talks about how anyone – even a young child – can take steps to reduce water usage.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for this advance readers copy in exchange for my honest feedback. This book is a great book to teach your children about the importance of water and all the wonderful things it does to help not only us survive as humans but for nature all around us!
Wow! This would be a fabulous book for elementary school science classes. My daughter in first grade was so interested in this story and we had some great conversations to follow afterward. Wonderfully done!
This is a simple, to-the-point book that serves a great primer for young readers. It would work great as a preschool/homeschool resource. It’s not necessarily anything special, but it serves its purpose!
I'd never read a book by duopress before, but I'm keeping an eye out for them everywhere now!
Including everything from what foods have water in them, to the importance of conservation, to instructions to make your own rainwater collector, this encompasses so many important things to note about water. For such a seemingly simple thing, there sure is a lot to learn about it.
I recommend this book as an introduction to water in general, or also as an introduction to some of the words and concepts included until they grow into more comprehension.
{Thank you bunches to NetGalley and duopress labs for the eARC in exchange for my honest review!}
This book has a great message for young kids about the importance of water. The illustrations are beautiful and well thought out. I love that the book teaches children about how important water is for their bodies and how important it is for the environment. Definitely a great book to read with young children. It is never to early to teach children how to be stewards of the environment!
A wonderful book to teach children about water conservation. Definitely introductory as expected but opens up the conversation and touches on the importance.
Super cute book! There is so much detail in the pictures, my 4 year old loved this book. I think all the school/ childcare who teach them about water should get this book! I highly recommend this book! I will most definitely get this for my preschool class!
