I absolutely loved this book. Expanding the world and seeing more of the coven grounds, wolf territory, Memnon’s home, and the tunnels, etc.. was so cool. The images the writing made in mind were so fantastical and fun.

Also the back story of Memnon and Selene really hit you in the feels. I found myself really hoping they could find their way back together. Well after I got hating Memnon for being such an ass.

I loved the slight crossover (please god tell me there might be a little more!) of Leonard Fortuna’s mention from the Bargainer series. I don’t know how, but I really hope that isn’t the last dabble of that the Bargainer characters/world mentioned in this series.

The book kept me engaged and moved at a good pace. I think there was a really good balance of world building and the forward progression of the book. All the different butt kicking fights had me locked in and it was hard to put this down.

The last little curveball at the end really threw me for a loop and I kind of had a half tantrum, knowing I will have to wait for a while for any further answers.

Thank you so much for letting me review this book. This is the first chance I’ve had to do this and I feel very honored.

I absolutely loved Bewitched and could not wait for Bespelled because I *needed* to know what was going to happen with Selene and Memnon! Bespelled picks up right where we left off and does an amazing job of showing us the past relationship between Roxi and Memnon and the growing feelings between Selene and Memnon. I loved the mystery and the story, but I did feel like the big bad of this book kind of came out of nowhere. I wish there had been more foreshadowing of the company and possibly had the action drawn out a bit more. It felt like it was over too fast--we learned about this family, they attack, we get more of what's really going on, they attack again, they're defeated.

I am absolutely looking forward to the next book in the series because I need more Selene and Memnon in my life!

“Cities can burn and centuries can pass and none of it means anything to me without you”

In this drama filled, action packed sequel to Bewitched, Laura Thalassa takes touch her and die and groveling MMC to the next level. Memnon sets out to regain Selene’s trust and will stop at nothing to earn it. Meanwhile Selene comes into herself and her powers, determined to save herself and other supernaturals from the murders still happening at Henbane. Through out all the drama and action Laura again manages to give us a powerful, smartass FMC who will actually make you laugh out loud as well as a sizzling romance. This books gives you all the emotions, it is Romantasy at its peak and follows a unique storyline for the genre. This book isn’t officially released yet and I already want more 🫶

Thank you Laura Thalassa, NetGalley, and Bloom Books for this earc 💖

I loved this book so much! It was a great continuation of the series. The romance was perfect. I would highly recommend this book!

Bespelled is book two in the Bewitched series and it is an absolute must read! I love the dark and deadly Memnon so powerful so ruthless… so kind and loving. I was completely lost in the endless love between Memnon and Selene (who does not remember her soul bond) having cursed herself to forget to save Memnon from their enemies. Now in another life Memnon awakens to Selene’s powers and seeks retribution for her betrayal. Nit it wasn’t betrayal after all.

I loved following her as she comes to terms with who and what she is and the undeniable bonds she has with Memnon. This story as gut wrenching m, heart pounding and absolutely amazing! Absolutely love the book and I highly recommend it!!!

From the first page Laura Thalassa sweeps the reader up in the emotional maelstrom that is Bespelled. Selene has her memories back & she's sitting in a prison cell accused of multiple murders. Definitely not what she anticipated when she finally got admitted to Henbane coven. Of course she didn't expect Memnon or her memories to return either. Now she has to deal with her studies, mysterious dark magic users hiding in her own house & her messy feelings about Memnon. Laura sweeps her readers into the depths of agony & despair as well as the heights of ecstasy. There's so much I want to say but I don't want to give spoilers. Read Bewitched and then immediately grab Bespelled. If you like magical realism, romance, spice, soul mates, and being emotionally devastated in the best of ways this is for you.

The story continues! And its was so good!
No spoilers. Just my feral rent like always. But I loved it. Such an exhilarating ride. Filled with murder mystery, fun banter, and lots of spice. I love the authors writing style. A fun read. I’m so excited for book 3!
Thank you to NetGalley and author for the advanced copy.

Bespelled was literally everything I hoped for. I absolutely adore Memnons character and this was such an enjoyable read. I really hope we see more about the underworld in the next book, that would be cool and I'm excited to see where that cliff hanger takes us!

I can't quite put into words the perfect emotional rollercoaster that is this book. Once again I feel incredibly decieved by my own brain's expectations due to the clever writing of Laura Thalassa. One of few authors who is able to totally blind side me and give me the feeling of true shock while reading.

This series has easily become one of my favourites.

Bespelled is action packed, sexy, and filled with mystery and intrigue. But much more fast paced than Bewitched. Her characters are complex and very relatable and have grown even more multi-faceted and believable this book. They are not cut and dry in the slightest and you get a deeper look at who they really are.

The character development and back stories go deeper and establish a much more in depth "why they are the way they are" without sacrificing any of the main plot and slowing down the pace. It's beautiful because you see sides of both Selene and Memnon, you wouldn't expect from either character based on the first book.

This book was far from slow. Some relationships flourished, there were unexpected betrayals, and some intense secrets were revealed keeping me up wayyyy past my bedtime. There was so much happening I felt entirely immersed in the world. As someone who can not picture things in the minds eye and relies heavily on description and emotional tugs from books, this book was absolutely perfect for me.

As for the ending, wow! Very intense but it really left me wishing I could get my hands on more of the story. That's the only negative I have and yet it's a positive. Thankfully a novella is coming soon too!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! Bespelled will be released May 28th, 2024.

Thank you Bloom Books and Netgalley for the advanced reader's copy in exchange for my honest review.

Where do I even begin with "Bespelled" 🥹... Laura Thalassa's follow up to "Bewitched" was exactly what I needed after reading book 1 a year ago. Everything was MORE (in the very best way). More spice, more romance, more groveling 🤭, more plot, more backstory, more world building. If Bewitched was the hook, then Bespelled is the link & sinker. I can't say I don't have the highest hopes and expectations for a spectacular finale that Laura can surely deliver.

Thank you to Bloom and Netgalley for the advanced copy!

I don’t even know where to start with my thoughts on this book, but I’ll preface this by saying “Bespelled” gave me everything that I look for in a sequel. The drama, the tension, the spice, the plot, and the groveling is just *chefs kiss*
Thalassa will forever be an auto buy author for me and I’ve been anticipating this book since its announcement. So, I was very thankful to be able to get my hands on a ARC from NetGalley.

This book is a wild ride, we start right where we left off with Selene and Memnon in the thick of the drama. Now that Selene has her memories back and no longer suffers from memory loss we finally get deeper insight into what had taken place that fateful night Memnon was cursed. And let me just say, the way this man worships Selene is everything I want in a fictional love interest. Let’s be honest, I came for the spice but stuck around for the plot. I love this world that Thalassa created. In comparison to “Bewitched” the plot in this one was much more fast paced and will keep you on your toes. This story is action packed and more plot driven in my opinion where the first one was a lot more character driven which I love. My one issue with this book was that I felt like the ending was very abrupt, I just wish we would’ve gotten a little bit more a complete cliffhanger, however this just might be my personal opinion.
All in all though, this was an amazing book, that has easily made it into my top 10 and is also my favorite series by Thalassa thus far. I highly recommend this series and author.

ARC by NetGalley and the publisher.

Witch and Henbane Coven member Selene Bowers may have finally gotten her dream of attending the academy but it sure wasn’t easy getting here. With wild adventures in South America, finally finding her familiar counterpart, and who could forget the evil sorcerer she managed to awake who continues to call her his wife and soulmate. However now Selene must come to terms with the lost memories of her past and it just so happens they directly contradict the one’s of her dangerous counterpart Memnon. She begins to questions even more if she truly can trust her “soulmate”. But when murders in the coven begin to occur Selene knows she needs Memnon’s help to solve them and fight these new enemies forcing her to make an alliance with the dangerous sorcerer.

When I tell you I was completely absorbed by this sequel to Bewitched by Laura Thalassa it isn’t a lie. All of my hopes for this book were far exceeded and I can say I enjoyed this sequel even more than its predecessor. The world building, story, lore, and characters are far greater explored which really brought more of this magical world to life. The enemies to lovers dynamic is still well and present with our two MCs however with Selene’s new memories comes a whole new layer to Memnon and I was delighted to hear more of their backstory and past history. I surely hadn’t thought this evil sorcerer would be so determined to right his wrong doings and atone. The yearning, the devotion, the banter, the spice, and words that come out of Memnon had me screaming they were so good! The action and suspense at the end without a doubt have me dying for more and thankfully there is a prequel novella I plan to pick up to quench the thirst I have while waiting for book three. Overall this was an amazingly fun fantasy read and has me craving more witchy fantasy books. If you had thought book one Bewitched sounded intriguing I most definitely suggest you read this sequel immediately after as you won’t be disappointed!

I ABSOLUTELY loved this book! I literally had to put it down because I was cackling so hard at one point! I enjoyed the romance more than in the first book and although there seems to be a slight lack of concern about all the murder happening from most of the characters the tension and plot flow along nicely! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good time!

Thank you to Netgalley, Bloom, and Laura Thalassa for the ARC!

I loved Bespelled. This is the second installment to Bewitched, where Selene and Memnon story continues. Just when I thought I knew where Laura was going to take this, the twist, turns, and heartache comes again. And the ending is just as brutal as the first book. But I absolutely loved this and so ready for the next book!

Bespelled is the second book in the Bewitched series. It is not a stand-alone as it picks up directly at the end of the first book. I appreciate that the author begins the book with a brief recap of the first book. Some parts of this book pulled at my heartstrings but overall this book was so, so good. This story had me absolutely absorbed and I didn’t want to put it down. I honestly think it was better than the first book! It does end in another cliffhanger of sorts. I typically do not like and avoid books with cliffhangers if I can help it, but to be fair, in this instance, it wasn’t a cliffhanger that made me mad. It just leaves me wanting more story and more Memnon! I definitely cannot wait for the next one.

Memnon. MEMNON!!!!

Okay no but forreal, this follow-up book from Laura Thalassa’s first book in this series, Bewitched, SLAPPED.

Laura will always and forever be an autobuy author - not only for her absolute legendary morally grey men and hilarious and strong FMCs, but her stories are so unique and captivating. A breath of fresh air when all you ever read is spicy romantacy/pnr.

This book picks right up after the last, and she even included a summary near the front for all the short term memory readers I.e., me out there. 😭 bless you, Laura.

Memnon and Selene are in the thick of the drama 👀 that happened (I’m keepin it vague, go read book 1) and you’re immediately thrown into the story. Selene continues to put herself in some anxiety -inducing situations and has me biting my nails nervous. 🤣

Memnon is the MMC we all want and need in our lives. He would literally blow up anything and everything to get to his beloved and I’m here that kind of devotion tbh.

Thank the stars the heat and romance was turned up but let me tell youuuu, she still had us working for it. 🤣 the story and lore is further explored and shown and I was ADDICTED. I couldn’t put this book down.

The ending was seriously so action packed I considered locking myself away from my kids just so I could finish it. 🤣 and now here I am, weeks away from launch and I’m wondering.. is it too soon to ask for book 3? 👀🥹

If you’re a lover of curses, 2,000 year old dudes who wake up from a really long nap MADE AF, witches, betrayal, and some of the most unique story bits you’ve ever read - read this series.

This book was so incredible! Even better than the first one. I was hooked from start to finish and couldn't get enough. The plot twists blew me away! Can't wait for the next book, especially after that ending!!!

I always feel really lucky when I get the chance to read an ARC from one of my favorite authors and Laura Thalassa is top 3 for me!

This book was so good. A lot of good suspense and action sequences. Lots of groveling from our favorite possessive sorcerer. Character growth for Selene while she works through having her memory restored. More time with Nero her grumpy familiar. The mystery of the spell circle looms large against the lot but doesn’t overtake it. The spice was immaculate.

I also really liked how soon we find out what happened at the end of Selene’s first life as Roxilana. The anticipation might have killed me. This also made me want to read the prequel novella even more. Can’t wait to hear more about Selene and Memnon’s first meeting. The end was tense and high pressure and I was very excited that one of my theories was confirmed. I await further books in this series with bated breath!

Thank you to NetGalley and ReadBloom for the ARC. All thoughts are my own.

Amazing as always. Laura Thalassa will always be an insta buy author for me! I think I like this book even more than the first one. The romance is my favorite part but I also really enjoyed the world building and the backstory we got. I cannot wait for book three!!!

Once again Laura has captivated her target romantasy audience with a unique story, amazing characters, plot twists and always leaving us wanting more! We love our morally grey King Memnon, especially when he learns to grovel… and is still the anti-hero the book girlies crave. This book for me was a 4.5 star read and 3 level spice. Thank you so much to Laura’s team and Netgalley for the ARC!
