A Wild Windy Night by Yui Abe

is a new children's books released by Museyon.
It is the story of Ricky. Ricky looks with curiosity at mr.Wind. Mr.Wind is outside, powerful, weak, soft, calm, furious. It is an evening in which Mr. Wind is not so calm at all and tries all its best for damaging the house and things of Ricky. At first his little car flies away, then being open the window of Ricky's bedroom, many other objects and oopssss, the same Ricky!!! brought somewhere else by Mr. Wind. Attracted by an element not all the time positive, Ricky wants to play with him, but...

The mother at some point will stop by to the bedroom of Ricky, and Ricky will tell her an extraordinary adventure lived with Mr.Wind.

A nice, kind book that will tranport children in another dimension letting them appreciate a natural element not always so calm and gentle.

Beauty!

I thank NetGally and Museyon Books for the ebook.

Children get scared of things, at night, be it rain,or thunder and lightening, or wind, as in the case of this book. Ricky is trying to sleep, but the wind invades his ears, and then it takes him and his toys out into the sky to play with them. And play he does, until the wind takes him back home, and he is inside again, and everything is where he left it.

The pictures are fun, as you see the various toys flying out the window, along with Ricky. This is not a scary book. If anything Ricky enjoys being up in in the sky and playing hide and seek with the wind. The only thing that stops him is his mother finding him where the wind left him, on the floor, and she puts him to bed.

Enjoyable book. Children will enjoy that this is a non-threatening story and the wind is a friend.

Beautiful illustrations that lets a boy use his imagination to run wild and chase his toys as the wind sweeps them away. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for a chance to read and review this book in exchange for an honest review.

The artistic work in this is amazing. There is so much detail. Even when Ricky and his toys are hiding, a child can make a game out of finding all of them. I had some trouble with the print on the pages. It was too small and then when it broke off into panels, I didn’t realize there were even words. Honestly, they should be enlarged. The story itself was ok. A lot of whooshing. I did like the boys adventurous spirit and the wind didn’t seem scary at all, but more like a warm comforting hug

I received an ARC of this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love the creativity behind the story. It's very unique. I also appreciated the Gen X era art. All in all this book fell a little tiny bit flat for me. There was a bit too much swooshing and sometimes it was difficult for me to decipher what was happening in the pictures. I predict that children will enjoy it more than I did.

I really loved the illustrations in this book - they are so beautiful and detailed. I enjoy stories in which children get to go on adventures in their dreams - this is one of those books. Simple text, but sweet story about a little boy who goes out at night to play with the wind. Perfect book for toddlers or preschoolers.
