Although I miss the original author, this series continues to be one of my favorites. I thought this book read more like a M.C. Beaton book than the previous one. Sir Charles is an interesting as ever when he provides a reason for Agatha to be around Barfield House more. Also, Agatha's new love interest seems to be keeping her busy as well. The mystery was well-crafted and the number of twists and turns was 'just right'. This was a fast read as I didn't want to put it down.

This is #35 in the series created by M.C. Beaton, and I think she’d be pleased with how Mr Green has continued the adventures of Agatha Raisin. Agatha and all the familiar characters, James, Roy, Toni and Charles, are once again thrown into a murder mystery that is complicated and requires the expert detecting of @Agatha and her friends working with Bill Wong, her friend in the police. Another outrageous and fun Agatha adventure!

This is the 35th in this fabulous series. We fans of Agatha are grateful the series is continued by R.W. Green. The author has done a magnificent job of writing our dear Agatha as our quirky savvy investigator with all the same humor and antics. I highly recommend the entire series. Each book can read as a stand alone. I have read the entire series and find Agatha forever endearing and a wonderful character..

Agatha is wearing many hats in this next in series. The author has done a wonderful job of capturing our Agatha. She is helping her friend Sir Charles plan a extravagent event at his home, investigating a centuries old murder, investigating break ins in the village and narrowly escaping being kidnapped ! Agatha then leaves the Cotswolds to join her friend John Glass on a exotic cruise in Spain and recover from her fright. The descriptions of Spain and the cruise were breathtaking. Our dear Agatha forever the romantic thought she had sparks with John but he is interested in someone else. She returns home to conclude the event with Sir Charles and re visit her investigations as only Agatha can with style and savvy.

I loved this next in series. It is a delightful addition to the series. Thank you to the author R.W. Green for continuing our Agatha with such loving care. I look forward to the next in series.

A pleasant addition to the series. The books haven’t been the same since M.C. Beaton’s departure but they are still enjoyable.

It's so unusual for a writer to take over after a beloved author dies and do such a great job. I have been reading M.C. Beaton for so many years, and I'm embarrassed to say when I traveled to England I took a tour that showed the area where she lived in the Cotswolds. The area is just as important a character as Agatha herself, and I miss both when I'm waiting for a new book.
Agatha continues to be messy but determined, and this time the mystery ends in multiple break-ins, a murder, and Agatha's car being torched. There is also more in the saga of Agatha's love life. While short, I felt satisfied that this was a real visit with my beloved characters. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.

A wonderful new addition to the series! This book was a fast and enjoyable read! The characters and settings are as great as ever! A must read for all!

In KILLING TIME I think the mystery of William Harrison, who went missing in 1660 and was mistakenly presumed murdered, is noteworthy. Sir Charles Fraith convinces Agatha to organize a public relations event to benefit Château Barfield, Charles’s winery, in addition to investigating the William Harrison mystery that resulted in the hangings of John Perry and two others found guilty of Harrison’s murder. Throw in an additional murder or more, and Agatha is in her element.

R. M. Green does a great job writing M. C. Beaton’s Agatha Raisin series. I am always happy when reading the Agatha Raisin books. Agatha is such an incredible character. I like her relationship with Charles and route for them to be a romantic couple. I look forward to the next book in the series. This book was gripping and hard to put down. It didn't feel like everything else you see out there, it felt very fresh. I really enjoyed this book!

R.W. Green has truly captured M.C. Beaton's style for Agatha Raisin and her investigative friends. It was a lot of fun rejoining Agatha as she investigated a series of local shop burglaries, which included the antique shop near her detective agency. Agatha is still bumpy in her romances and sometimes not the most tactful in her relationships (be they business or friends). It's a fun read that stays true to the series.

How wonderful to be able to count on one more Agatha Raisin book per year for the last few years since the sad passing of our beloved author M. C. Beaton. This is due to the masterful writing of R. W. Green, who was a collaborator with Ms. Beaton, and he writes brilliantly in her style.
This was a delightful read, and it went by too fast. Again, as much as I have tried to solve the whodunit puzzles in these mysteries, I am left surprised at the end, which is a satisfying feeling. All loose ends are tied neatly, and we are left wanting for more Agatha adventures to come.

I continue to enjoy the Agatha Raisin series with its new author, R.W. Green. He seems to have taken the spirit of Beaton's work and run with it, making some subtle changes I actually enjoy. Agatha doesn't seem quite as belligerent and prickly as before, but she's still thin-skinned and tough as nails. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and am curious how Charles' rekindled interest in Aggie continues to develop in the next book!

M.C. Beaton would be so proud of the latest Agatha Raisin mystery, Killing Time. R.W. Green killed it when creating the latest cozy mystery in which we find Agatha Raisin solving mysteries all over the place.

First, she gets approached to take a case that puts her in opposition to DCI Wilkes again…surprise! But instead of telling him where to shove his threats, she just sets out to solve her own cases, which seems to upset him even more.

Sir Charles is also doing his best to wrangle her back into his life, even though he has squandered too many opportunities with “his Aggie” in the past. This time, he not only has a juicy historical mystery, but also a fundraiser and launching party for his new wines for her to manage.

And then, the dancing detective, AKA John Glass has made plans with Agatha, meant to be a romantic getaway. But before she can pack, a murder happens practically at her doorstep. During the investigation, Agatha is further irritated by anonymous riddles being delivered to her.

Is someone out to really get her? Or is this just to distract from one of her cases or a past case?

Will Agatha ever find her romantic happily ever after?

Will people stop dying right in front of her? Would she really want that anyway?

While MC Beaton is gone, rehearsal, she left behind a fabulous series that the new author has only improved upon.

This country, Agatha raisin is more mature than ever before. Perhaps it could be because she herself is in mortal danger. or perhaps she’s just involved and matured. Either way, yet another solid mystery for fans of the series.

PS you don’t need to have read the first 34 books in the series. It book stands fine alone. I will warn you, you are going to want to read the first 34 after reading this one.

Agatha is up to her neck in solving cases and organizing a gala. But, who wants to harm her? She escapes a kidnapping attempt along with her a co-worker. She attends an auction and outbids everyone for a clock that may be a key to her problems, but is it? Agatha needs to solve two murders in this entry, rescue her romantic relationship and remain her true self. Her wit, her no-nonsense approach, and her ability to tackle anything, make a wonderful contemporary heroine in this cozy series. Thanks to Net Galley for the arc.

I was a little intimidated after seeing this was book number 35 in the series. Rest assured, you don't need to be caught up at all in order to read this book. As someone who hasn't read any other books in the series, I thought it was a decent read. It hits all the right and usual notes with what you expect from a cozy and there is nothing wrong with that. I wish the historical sub-plot had more impact and meaning to the story as whole.

A long time Agatha Raisin fan, these books continue to be delightful. Agatha is as endearing as ever, and visiting Carsley is like sinking into a warm bath. Lovely.

This was my first read from the series but it reads great as a standalone. Agatha raisen is a great FMC but I found a few of the males to be lacking. This is book 35, yes 35! In the series. I look forward to following Agatha on her adventures and reading some from her past as well!

Agatha Raisin is presented with several puzzles and crimes at once. This installment brings us a much calmer Agatha who is not quite as self-centered and man-crazy as previously. With her usual group of friends, ex-lovers, and co-workers she manages to solve them all..

This was another entertaining read in this cozy series.
