I loved the first book in this series and its sequel doesn't disappoint. The story is fast paced and funny with great art. The unfolding lore of Ravensbarrow and the group of kids encountering it is very reminiscent of a younger sillier Stranger Things.
This was so much fun! Just because you're not happy about where you are, that doesn't mean you can't do the right thing. Teddy isn't happy yet in his new home but when mysterious things happen, he and his friends get involved. There is so much hilarious action. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this.
Sharing Teddy vs. the Slimy Evil with my 10 and 8-year-olds was like unleashing a whirlwind of laughter and excitement in our living room! This book is a delightful concoction of spooky mysteries and hilarious hijinks that kept us entertained from start to finish. With each turn of the page, we found ourselves immersed in the quirky world of Ravensbarrow, eagerly anticipating the next unexpected twist. The addition of new monsters and characters added an extra layer of fun, while the return of familiar faces brought smiles to our faces. As we followed Teddy's daring escapades, we couldn't help but feel like we were right there alongside him, facing off against slimy evils and uncovering the town's secrets. This is a book that will appeal to readers of all ages, and it's one that we'll definitely be revisiting again and again!
A super fun follow up in the series! I laughed out loud several times while reading this, and the combination of humour with the spooky and gross elements makes for such a fun read. I also love how the text and illustrations blend so well. I'll definitely be continuing this series.
