This was a lovely sweet story about a young pelican - this is the second of two parts.
In the book the little pelican is trying to follow and chase his dreams but he falls short time and time again. He wants to be just like his grandfather and to join the Pelican Squad - we left the first book on a bit of a cliffhanger so I was keen to see what happened and how the story ended with this final part.
The book is well written and it is easy to follow. The illustrations in this book are great and they really suit the story and I loved the ending too - it is a create two-part story
It is 4 stars from me for this one - highly recommended and would love to read more about the little pelican and his grandfather in future books
The second instalment gave a satisfying ending to the Littlest Pelicans troubles. He conquered the perfect dive and became a hero! My children were very happy with the ending this time.
The illustrations are lovely and bright like the first book. Still on the lengthier side for a children’s book - but any time my children are spending with books I am happy about and I guess it’s more bang for your buck!
Thanks to NetGalley, the Publisher and the Author for the ARC.
A continuation of the first book, here we see pelican attempt to join the pelican squad for a second time - ultimately succeeding. Touching on themes of grief, courage and positivity we have a satisfying end to our story. As in the first volume, illustrations are great.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and Netgalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.
Decided to pick up the second book after my niece enjoyed the first one so much!
I will say this book used less challenging language than the first one which definitely helps when reading to a young audience.
It was a sweet continuation to the story the first book told and my niece was very satisfied with the ending, she was overjoyed to see that the littlest pelicans dream can true.
Thank you NetGalley for an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review
We really enjoyed part 1 of the Littlest Pelican in our house and couldn’t wait to start reading part 2.
The second part of the story follows the Littlest Pelican as he trains up ready for his second attempt at the tryouts.
This one focused on staying positive, coping with grief and never giving up.
The same endearing illustrations from part 1 continue in part 2 which didn’t disappoint. Part 2 really lived up to expectations.
